Someone may/may not have said this either on the DE boards or maybe somewhere here but anyway...

Maintenance Droids

How about making them not only specific to houses but ALL structures such as factories and harvestors. Also how about letting us know how much maintenance we have left on these structures so we can pay the appropriate amount needed to run our structures. Also how about allowing us to add feul to harvestors? ALso how about paying the maintenace on vendors (or letting merchant droids do it)

Merchant Droids

Like the maintenace droids, the merchant droids should allow us to pay the maintenance on our vendors (if not then let the maintenance droids do it). Also items that were not successfully sold should be able to be resold via the droid. The droid should also be able to deliver new items to vendors (with of course maybe a 15min wait before the items are on the actual vendor). Merchant droids should have more of an assistant role than just another spammer.

Spammers:

Use the imperial crackdown to deal with spammers.

Stormtroopers make rebels spammers overt and shoot them.

Imperials and neutrals get transported to Dathomir prison. .Both provide a major inconvenience to the player involved.

Clean up our cities.

I'd also like to see a system put in place for surrendering skills to help you get them back if you ever want to redo the profession.A couple suggestions on how this could be done are:

1) If you surrender a skill or profession then choose to go back to it the skills that you had could have their XP requirements cut to 50% or whatever percentage to make you get back to where you were faster. You had the profession at one point, it doesnt make much sense that you'd forget absolutely everything.

2) If you surrender a skill your progress is remembered in a timer system, and if you choose you can reload that profession back into your character without having to grind or work your way through it again. With the timer system it gives you a specific amount of XP back per hour/day so that over time you get your progress back in the specified skill.

3) Secondary skill points. You get a certain # of secondary skill points that you can spend when surrendering a skill. This would make the skills unusable but it remembers your progress up to a certain # of skill points (like 50 extra skill points or something like that). You can then swap out those secondary skill points for any of your primary skills. For example if I master scout, stick it in the secondary skill points then I'd receive back the skill points out of the original 250 I'm given. At any time I can choose to switch that back to primary skill points and regain the skills assuming I have enough primary skill points, or I swap a current primary to secondary (like switching out my master artisan for my master scout). This system could use the timer so that you cant instantly swap back your profession to fix armor or build an item for yourself.

OK two suggestions... one for vehicles and one for skills in general.

For skills in general, how about some minor skills that allow limited benifits. For example, almost every adult can drive a car (landspeeder), but motorcycles (speeder bikes) require a different (an less common) skill, and racing cars or bikes (AV21 or Swoops) even more skills. Almost everyone has a few spare skill points they could use for these types of things and the game community and developers are ingenious and I am sure could suggest many such 'minor' skills. After all these are some of the things that make individuals... exactly that.

Now for the vehicles, when was the last time you saw someone riding in a landspeeder. There is no advantage to it. So change land speeders (and the other vehicles) to be more droid like. What do I mean by this... have artisans able to craft modules that can be included duing the construction of vehicles. And of course different vehicles would have different module counts and such.

Obvious modules would be passenger seats (each would allow one player to travel with you as if they were on a mount), cargo compartment (allow storage of 25 items, subject to scanning), concealed cargo compartment (5 items but not subject to scanning), engine improvements (increased speed a percentage increase for the class), armor (increased resists, protects any occupants),and chassis improvements (increased hitpoints). And as I said earlier, I am sure the community (both players and devs) can come up with more. And also as mentioned earlier, count these as driods including being counted against the driod count.

Hi TH,

Thanks as always for doing this. I'm not sure this question is best posted here, but I see no other relevant venue on the boards.

Question:
Could Sony add SWG to the Sony All Access pass?

As one friend of mine just said: "Facts are facts. If a typical gamer had to choose between SWG or the lure of EQ2 at the end of this year.... we all know which game will be played. We all know which game the rest of our online gaming friends will be playing. The All Access Pass is the one way for people to afford both games and keep both accounts, without worrying about paying a lot of money. "

While I, personally, would not switch (I'm Sci-Fi, not fantasy tyvm) I know *many* people who would ... And I'd like to preserve this community that you all have worked so hard to build, maintain and respond to.

I'm also going to try and bring this up at FanFest ...

/thank

Here's the complete, arguably more lucid, post suggesting SOE include SWG in the Sony All Acces pass:

http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/board/message?board.id=Sunrunner&message.id=117513

Again, apologies if this is not the proper thread ... If it is not, could you direct me to the correct forum? Or just forward this *nifty* idea to the proper authorities?

[QOUTE]

One area that I think has been put to the way side a bit is what goes into a player house. We've been given some very neat stuff in the way of loot items and limited schematics (decorative Shishi, Ornamental Rugs, Player Crafted Paintings) I think there are some things that can be done to the exsisting furniture to make things more interesting.

First: Color of crafted furniture. We can change the color of our armor, our droids, our bikes and our avatars. But to this day, if you want a little round sofa chair it will be light purple. How about making the color selectable by crafter for these items? This would add a lot more character to player housing.

[/QOUTE]

Indeed i also think that. Maybe add a pitch function in rotations... Or maybe new lights for on the seeling. Maybe give the furniture paterns like an old peeps flower couch. etc.

[QOUTE]

Third: Storing stuff in house. The 75 items per lot is not a bad way to go, if it was 75 items per lot in the houses.. A tatooine guild hall is 7 lots, that should be 525 Items if the cap wasn't 250. The Tat Hall has about 10 good sized rooms to decorate and utilize, with a 250 item count though, thats only 25 items per room. I'd like to be able to make more than just the main room look cool. I'd like to be able to show off trophys collected and such. Perhaps if the 75/lot ratio is kept but make the storage in houses experimental so that some smalls may only hold 104 items because the architect didn't do to great of a job, but a master archy with the right supplies could make a 675 Item Generic Guild Hall. I know that item limitations are probably mainly in place to help manage the amount of junk people hang on to in game. Yet, I don't see that limiting houses and making me use up 16 lots for housing and storage makes things any easier on the server. I've quiet a few friends that don't play much on the same server as me that will hold ownership of a house so I can use it. Would be easier though if I didn't need extra small houses to hold supplies in.

[/QOUTE]

This is indeed true. I have a guildhall which costs me 9 friggin lots! I cant build anything else to store items. And i can oly hold 250 items.

If i would build 5 small houses it would cost me 10 lots but i can hold 750 items. Thats a big difference......

[QOUTE]

Fifth: Housing. Ok, the previous four items I think would be fairly easy compared to my fifth item, and I am sure there are some major issues with trying to accomplish my #5 issue, but i thought I'd still bring it up. Player housing though we have a good selection is still a bit drab. It can be hard to point out yer small Tat style house in a sea of identical houses. A couple things that I think would spice this up a bit is Color; Windows; Custom Floor Plan. Color should be fairly easy to do, perhaps allow the architect a certain pallete depending on the style of structure. (Like only earth tones for the Tat style). There is a window in the large tatooine style house, if that could be utilized on exterior walls that would be very cool indeed. I'm sure there are issues with this as well trying to load the contents of the house as well as still keeping track of whats going on outside. Something to think about though. The Custom Floor Plans.. If anyone has ever just walked around the misc buildings of the non player citys in tat they've probably seen some neat houses not available to anyone else. Like the cantina type building in Anchor Head. Many of the hosues through out the city's though have wha appear to be regular tat houses on the outside, but inside they have a completely different floor plan, I've even seen one that size with an elevator to a basement. Very cool stuff. I think it would be great if Architects had the capability to either make more unique style houses or alter the floor plans of houses. Perhaps they could select where the interior walls are placed, add an elevator, an internal door, roof access etc etc. In this manner they may start with only so many points and a generic house template, perhaps each addition to the basic house would take away from the alteration points that can be used (something like that... I for one don't want to see a bunch of house-mazes everywhere). This I think would allow the player architects to balance a house as the buyer would like. (balance lots/storage/lay out)

[/QOUTE]

Maybe make this on a radio button way. You make a house or get a deed. Then you get an option for the outside look. You choose on with radio buttons. After that you go to the interior and you can select what floorplan you want for each floor. Ofcourse if you choose floorplan X with an elevator the other needs to match. But still..

Then make balconies part of the inside of the house.. I want a chair and a table there so i can drink some beer in the sun!

Maybe make some cleaning droids and if you dont have any and u never clean u get a pile of **edit** in your house... (more for droid engineers to build! =D)

Make a control device for every building on your datapad where u can add people to the admin / entry / ban list etc. check status.Pay maintenance. (ofcourse with a fee for using your datapad). Because this saves time. If i need to walk all the way back to my house to check what maintenance i need to pay.. Thats crap. Especially if you have like 4 harvesters on each planet. Just do it like this: if you go to your house to pay maintenance you just pay it and its done. If you do it trough your datapad youll pay a 5% fee like with the bank tips. =)

[QOUTE]

One last thing, something I forgot earlier but still on subject of player housing. We have the ability to allow others access to our houses through the Admin list.. A lot of times though it would be convenient to allow access to certain people in certain areas or allow admin access to anyone in certain areas even. Perhaps some kind of locking mechanics could be added to internal doors similar to external. So that each area of a house can have an independant admin/entry list.

[/QOUTE]

This is hard and crappy in my opinnion but if you give every door a keypad! like on the corvette and stuff. If you set no key then everyone can enter. If you set one they need to use it b4 they can enter how bout that?

Then couches are for more peeps right? why then if 2 sit down we sit on eachother?

we really need an architect revamp!

Well thnx and peace out!

This is a great Idea, Another good idea would be to give a discount if you own two accounts. I am very close to getting a second account, but I would be much more eager to do so if I got some kind of discount on the second account. I think that about 8-10 dollars per additonal account would be acceptable. This would be a good method of increasing revenue from existing players like myself.

Another method for incresing revenue from existing players: Charge for character transfer service, but allow the player to carry everything over from one server to another. All Items, skills, credits, faction standing, badges, and datapad items. I would gladly pay 10 dollars for this feature.

Howdy TH,

To reiterate a couple great ideas I saw above that deserve some attention:

1) The idea of moving the game storyline +10 years or -50 years. This would conceptually free you up a lotto allow the jedi to move about more freely and overtly, as well as reduce the amount of worrying you have to do about making story-driven events tie directly into the original storyline (that HAS to be tough to do...). Given the fact that you've already designed starships from the current era,it would make more sense to fast forward the storyline a bit. Reason I like this idea so much is that there is really a lot of room in the future for Jedi driven story events. It would thus justify the existance of more jedi, and could also serve to stimulate the PvP arena quite a bit as well. I am not a jedi, but personally, I find it a LOT more enjoyable to engage in battles with a few jedi's involved. I don't think you would have to sacrifice that much to accomplish this....the current storyline isn't all that engaging anyways, so I don't think anyone would miss it.

2) The idea of aboost device for a swoop/speeder. Could be pretty cool, and I imagine not all that hard to implement.

3) The need for more Z axis movement. I've posted on this before, and I think itsa great idea. You have now demonstrated that this is do-able with the jet-pack, so now, it would make sense to extend this to other applicable contexts, speeders being the most obvious case. True, "LANDspeeders", ought to be limited to ground level travel, due to the type of repulsors they use, but others, such as the AV-21, or maybe even the swoop, ought to have at least an extended altitude ceiling, even if it were only 100m or so. An extension of this idea...keep the overall power of each vehicle be the same, but allow it to be shifted between horizontal and vertical force. For example, a speeder travelling 100m above the surface must use more power to sustain its flight, due to abcense of the 'repulsor ground effect', and hence, its top speed would be proportionally reduced. Not asking for loop-de-loops or anything here...just an extended ceiling of travel.

Keep up the good work,

Jalon

Hello i have been playing starwars galaxies since launch and here are some of my concepts.

1. We need an ingame calculator its not hard. you dont even need to implement a ui for it just make it command line like google. Little known fact that you can type in mathmatical equasions and it will spit out an answer go try it. Perty nifty.

2. Factional overt bounties, Anyone whom registers themself overt will become factionally trackable.

3. Gambling establishments and games of chance, Maybe even pitting pure tkm v.s. rancor. or PvP gladitorial combat.

4. Eliminate afk shouting for shops create a merchant channel. Any person spamming in main terminal will recieve warnings. Use the imperial crackdown to deal with spammers.
