ive been having trouble with the group display. There have been 3 seperate problems recently:


#1 Group members improperly being displayed as on a different planet. PC that are actually with 8 or 10 meters of me are being displayed as on another planet.


#2 Group members being listed more than once. Our group leader today was listed both at the top of the list as the leader and further down the last as on another planet.


#3 My HUD is not displayed. It just isnt there.


None of these were resolved by relogging. I have submitted a /bug.

I really like the enhanemnts. Vevery helpful. I noticed once in town that I got a grop missoin waypont when nobody had any missions. Just and odd kind of thing. Other than that, a super way to keep track of group mates.

Thunderheat when will these bugs in group display be fixed its getting more and more unplayable with those. Its even unpossible to coordinate anything when in a group with 4+ members...



btw found a new bug for myself in it, nearest mission is even when only 2 ppl r in group not always showing the nearest one, sometimes its showing old already done missions, sometimes its showing the farest mission

Two things ive experienced as odd.

#1: Was in a man consisting of 4 people. One of the group members was not listed as a group member instead another person was duplicated.

#2: A wierd thing happend yesterday on a shrnaff hunt. We arrived at the "nearest mission" WP and found a war gronda lair. We laughed and started bashing the poor creatures and ended the lair and during our little slaughter a person was running around screaming (he seemed rather annoyed) that this was his mission and that we should leave it alone. now the "nearest mission" wp showed this lair as ours so i dont know what the heck the deal was really. Just another freak incident in the twilight zone also known as SWG i guess .

If you dont care about the bugs it works great .

here's my rather frustrated thoughts on the group problems and other subjects... i personally don't thinkthe non payment for missions bug isgoing to be fixed anytime soon due to the fact that the people it affects the most are those in solo groups. i know the game is not meant to be played solo...but come on we each pay 15 bucks a month we should get to play alone if we want. i do enjoy full groups going after the big mobs but if i'm only going to be on for say 2 hours i don't have the time for that. it's also the easiest way to go earn a little cash in a short amount of time. and with the skyrocketed prices for everything...at least on my server...i need all the cash i can get. maybe if we couldn't buy all the money we wanted on ebay the high prices wouldn't even be there. this problem didn't hit eq til a few years after launch but it sure hit swg right away. another reason they won't fix it soon is because it's only hurting the players, not helping. if you were to get paid even an extra 10 credits for a mission you'd see an emergency patch so they could fix that...so much time is spent on fixing exploits and adding new thingsthat the bugs that bother us the most are just left the way they are. i first started playing the day of release and quit a month later due to all thebugs and when i came back 2 months ago i found that most of them are still there. yet theres new dungeons to go to and get kills stolen from you and everything. i'm pretty positive that the group enhancement patch is what caused the non-payment bugs and a few others...and i'm not the only one a lot of people agree.most of the others are pure cosmetics like the group waypoint and the messed up group member window...but still come on you guys get paid to fix this stuff why don't we see any fixes or at least hear that it's in work? i understand the wanting to add new things and make the game bigger...but the additions are mainly for the elites until they get bored also...but thats a whole new rant i don't want to get into. all i'm asking from the devs is please fix something...anything...even if it's just something small...show that you care enough about the players to fix the things that bother them or at least lie to me and tell me it's being worked...

The group mission waypoint would be awesome if we ran missions as a group, I would personally like to be able to toggle it on or off.



The group member thing is bugged. Sometimes it will report the same person twice if you go off planet then come back. I like the feature that tells you what planet the group members are on but would be cool if it still told you the members NAME and what planet they are on instead of just (planet). The arrows are great though, great work there guys.

Odd we had group waypoints in Beta, how come it took so long to get them back? Just another bug in the saga....

God, Devs, I hope you fix this. Group lists are worthless, after about 10 minutes people's NAMES disappear. And when the names ARE they, they are usually not accurate... sometimes people are listed 2-3 times.

Also, make the closest mission for group OPTIONAL.

Fix the bugs. In fact fix ALL the bugs in the game before you add one more anything. It's been a year and I still slide off chairs i'm sitting on and warp 100 meters when I dismount a bike. This game is a year old Beta....get your priorities straight and FIX ALL THE BUGS FIRST.

1) Losing cash on approximately 70% of missions, sometimes higher. Last night it was 6 out of 8 missions not paying. Hammering the "/peace" key on my toolbar as the lair blew up used to stop the bug from happening about 90% of the time, now it's more like 10% of the time.


2) I joined a large group, logged out for 3 hours. When I relogged I was still in the group


The nearest waypoint monitor is a completely unnecessary feature. We have been told it's to improve group play. To be quite honest, it actually discourages conversations between group members, as theres no discussion about whose lair is first.


For the benefits it brings, they are vastly, vastly outweighed by the numerous bugs they have introduced. I can't say how much I wish these features had not been implemented, I am close to leaving the game for a few months as I can't make enough money any more to afford decent guns, armour etc. The "gameplay experience" that we are told is SOE's highest priority certainly doesn't feel like that at the moment.....
