This "enhancement" has kept me from playing for 2 days. More than half of the mission that I completed did not pay out. That cost me quite a few credits and faction points in the hour before I gave up. Please remove this and have your QA guys make sure it doesn't cause massive issues before you attempt to implement it again.


I know I am coming off as rather harsh, but I was just starting to try to gain faction points and this has made it incredibly frustrating.


FYI - I was in a group of 20 people and we were all doing our own thing.

Well first off, I like the new group menu ideas, however TESTING these changes before going live would be GREAT in the future.


My List if Observed Bugs With New Group System:

First off Player names are nearly ALWAYS listed incorrectly in the group menu.

Players names are often listed more than once, often not even listed at all.

The planet display also shows the wrong planet for many players, often only a distance marker is the only thing listed for a specific player in the menu.

The "Waypoint to nearest group mission" seems INCREDIBLY bugged. The waypoint often leads to nowhere, no mission is located at that point. It seems (maybe when the "Nearest group mission waypoint" is the same waypoint for a specifi player in the group) when this happens the Mission waypoint STICKS in the palyers datapad and the player will not get a "Mission completed" message, resulting in ZERO payout for this mission. I have seen this happen MANY times, making runing solo missions in a group have nearly NO profit or purpose.



PLEASE FIX THIS SYSTEM

Overall, good patch.


Two problems-


1. When a group member goes LD, it tends to duplicate another group members name in the list. Often times telling different members that different people are in the group and/or are leader.


2. Group waypoint is cool, but is there a way to turn it off? I keep deactivating it through double-clicking on the wp (both monitor and datapad) and even destroying the wp in dp and it will reappear anytime a group member gets or destroys a mission. This is quite frustrating, especially when a member goes LD. Please add a toggle for this.

Missions have become sooo frustrating and painful lately, I am getting rather irritated by it, out of 8 31k missions, I can lose over 120k. that's a really bad average, 1/2 my missions are failing to caugh up. This bug is costing me time and money in the game, and hence a loss of game play experience.


I have heard this theory kicking around, but i'm not sure if it is entirely correct, but here goes, maybe some comments of how true it is would be nice.


If the group leader has at least the amount of money in their bank that the mission will pay out. ie, if i do a 30k mission, the gl should have 31k in their bank for me to get a succesful pay out.


It's rather strange, as I have known the gl to have 2k in their bank and I can get 3 failed payouts in a row and others are 1 in 2 failed payouts, but when a different gl is made, sometimes I have done like 6 missions in a row with no failed payouts. It's difficult to gauge this, as when ever I have asked the gl, they seem rather hesitant about talking about their bank balance, maybe thinking that I'mgoing to hustle them out of cash or something.

I logged in my second character and said well hey why not have him keep getting missions while im running around. This way I can prevent a Trip each time and his Waypoint would appear for me.


Well, each time he got a mission, I went to it. When I got there NOTHING was there.


THIS IS A GOOD THING. It would be considered exploiting in my eyes. This should not be a Fix or a problem. It is actually a Soultion.


THE group member with the mission would have to be there for the mission to show up.


I did notice though at one time one guy who was in group was not showing. This seems to me a small bug. Some other of the bug reports here also seem Valid and should be Overviewed.


ALL in ALL though 8 out of 10 on this one.. 87% = B

  • When in a group, a waypoint to the nearest group mission is displayed. The nearest mission is the mission closest to the most people in the group.


  • Group member status bars will continue to report position information, even if the player is on the other side of the world. If the group member is on another planet, the planet name is displayed in the status bar.


Ok, the group waypoint is a nice idea and it works fine except that we really need to be able to turn it off sometimes. ATM if we delete that W/P in the datapad, it comes back in about 5-10 seconds. When running large group missions with the on-screen waypoint indicator enabled it is very distracting to see that thing flashing on and off.


The group member status bars are also a great idea. They are currently bugged where if the group leader changes and then travels he (the previous leader)cannot see what planet the other group members are on. Seems like there are a few variations of this where it refuses to update to show planets until a group member travels again.


All in all agood improvement to groups, just fix those minor bugs please.

Definately a great help, saves a lot of time trying to find out who in your group has the next nearest mission and making sure everyone is following you and dont get lost.

yesterday i was in a group with a faction pet and my waypoint to closest mission was always whichever mission i grabbed second (whether it was closer or not)
when the first mission respawned, it fixed itself though


just thought you guys should know since it might affect bigger groups


also when someone is off-planet, their name disappears and just the planet name shows (i know this one has been brought up, just thought i'd add some emphasis)

Since the addition of the Group Arrow, I have only been paid for one out of two completed missions. This happens a lot! This is a consitent problem. I have reported this as a bug. I have also talked to many that say they are experiencing the same errors. I am wondering if the "dud" missions are a result of the new group arrow? I have been doing mission for a while and have not had a problem getting paid for all completed missions up until now. Could you guys please look into this? You guy's(Dev's) have done a great job with SWG. I know that there are a lot of important things on your plate. Just seems like the "group arrow" would be less of a priority with the Space Expansion, Jedi Revamp, Combat Revamp coming up. Hope you will look into this and fix the problem, otherwise, I will never be able to purchase an overpriced Transport once the space expansion comes out!

Yup bugged missions still going on.

some points:

1. %50 of the time you dont get money from you mission if your ina solo group
2. Names vannish that just say the planet
3. Mission updates mees up the nearest mission, that persons mission needs to go right on it to get the update and then the change for the nearest then after 5 seconds changes, it could be a bit smother, but works well
4. Duplicate names, you see somone twice in the list in two different places.
5. If somone logs out and even when the character has gone the group can somtimes still show them about.
6. People vanashing alltogether from the list, you think, "where they go" and they only apear in the list again when your 100m away from them. This is only happens from time to time, not as serveare as the other bugs
