Yeah, Nice message, I have written a couple of hundred of those myself. There is always one underlying problem with vision and that is cost. There is never enough money to implement all the goodies you want to bring in, and I can promise you that my software company has better developers than yours does.

What do we have to look forward too? More promises broken, more complaints ignored, and more bugs introduced. Hey at least it is fun logging in after each patch since you never know what might have happened in the patch. I am waiting for the day all of my objects in my house are floating a kilometer above my house and my house is upside down.

Don't laugh it might just happen.

Here here!!!!

I think the problem with most gamers that post here is they forget that this is a game created by a business. Businesses are not in the process (unfortuantely in our time) for putting out flawless products. That business mentality went away in the late 1800s.

Business exists to put out the best product with the lowest development cost. So there will be times when SOE rushes something to make a holiday shopping season. If they don't, then they can't spend the millions it will take to fix the game or improve it.

A lot of people slam the devs. Why? I've only seen a handful of intelligent posts that allude to what it takes to program a game like this or any other computer program. ONE LINE OF CODE CAN BREAK THE WHOLE THING. Think about that. One line. How many millions and millions of lines of code do you think it takes to create an interactive environment.

To the Devs. Continue doing everything you can! There are a lot of us that support your efforts and that think you've created an amazing product.

Since when is CHEF, MERCHANT or DROID ENGINEER combat proffessions?? and Bount Hunter is not??

Anyone else catch this, or maybe just a typo, or maybe they have a chef /tkm /smuggler template.

Please fix the issues and bugs at hand before introducing more issues and bugs to frustrate us more.

They are not combat professions.... but the commas imply:

all of the core combat professions (and then) Chef (and then) Droid Engineer...etc.

at least that's how my English teachers told me to use a comma.

Yes thats right folks the incompetent folks at SOE has still done nothing to address the MOST OBVIOUS problem in the game. That is the problem of racial balance. The following is a revamped list of what is still wrong with wookies and has been since launch. Below the list is another list of changed that have been made to wookies.

Still Broke:

Cannot Wear Armor

No chance in hell of PvP

Cannot Wear Jewelry

Bowcasters still suck

VERY limited choices of clothing with even less choices on colors.

Cannot use ANY of the combat Bio-Engineered tissue components. (Atm Wookies can only use the medic and entertainer components.)

Outrageous faction perk costs if Imperial.

Things that have been addressed by the clueless overseers of SWG:

Wookies along with all species can now wear wedding rings and get married (Woot thats a **edit**ing relief.)

Wookie roar use has had the time between uses increased and the effectiveness increased. (For those that do now know what wookie roar does it is an intimidate special. Again thats a big relief cause I am sure thats what all us Wookies wanted out of all the problems atm.)

Life Day (Great we get a holiday to celebrate how poor our racial balance is compared to the other races.)

In short it is painfully obvious that SOE either has noone that plays a Wookie on the Dev Team and or does not have a Wookie player rep. Anyone who has ever played a wookie can tell you that they are worthless in PvP and cant do much comparitively in PvE without pets. Yes they can fight some but compared to any other race they dont even come close with all things being equal. Their has also been ZERO mention of plans to address some of these Wookie issues.

Proposed Changes:

Allow Wookies to wear Armor

Remove the friggin synth requirementin wookie field wear and allow any type of BE component to go into any type of clothing.

Allow Wookies to wear more types of clothes and with as big a variety of colors as other species.

These problems have been the same since launch and to say that it is not important is a joke. I personally have been waiting for something to be mentioned on the dev tracker forum or announcements forum since release and have yet to find anything. I am fed up with the bull**edit** that goes on with how SWG gets things done. SWG costs more per month than most other MMORPG's. The **edit** game comes down every night for a few hours. The lag in certain cities is unbearable. I dont know where SOE recruited its Dev team from, but they are about as useful as a flat tire. I wish all of you that are playing a Wookie the best of luck. If your just beginning SWG and come across this post delete your wookie and play ANY other race, you will thank me later on I promise. As for me I suppose I will continue to play SWG although I am pissed about the pathetic management. At least until WoW comes out then it is good bye to SOE for good.

SOE/SWG

I would like to offer my thoughts about a couple issues that seems to effect everyone at one time or another.

First off is this whole idea of changing professions in order to attain Jedi.

I personally find this concept of changing professions to become Jedi very poorly thought out and I think it should be seriously reconsidered. The community used to be full of proud professionals capable of turning out some of the best products anyone could want. All had found their little niches and where doing quite well in their chosen professions. Then the notion of changing professions to become a Jedi was made known and with that,Holos. The professionals have disappeared! Slowly, one by one, each has become a grinder, focused soley on attaining Jedi. With the decrease in professionals to supply products came a decrease in product diversity. Armour is a good example. You can find Composite armour anywhere but Ubese or padded is extremely rare. Add to this that the professionals that are comming in to fill the void are inexperienced which in turn effects the quality of those same products. When you consider that SWG is supposed to be a game where anyone can become a Jedi and anyone can be whatever profession they want to be, I think the current scheme misses that mark completely. I know SOE thought we would all be so much in love with the content that we would change professions weekly, but they where in error and some rethinking is in order.

Second is the problem of resource availability.

I hear professionals saying it all the time. They can't find the resources they need to make the quality of products that would be suitable. We have a Weaponsmith in our guild who tracks resources daily in a database. The resources he needs simply arent available. Some of the resource spawns you have going are spawning resources with important stats like OQ less then 100. Now why would you do this? Your spawning resources that are only relevent to grinders which hurts those who need actual product as well as those who make their money off of selling those products. Overall the entire economy suffers.

The end results look like this, you have Medics in the med centers who won't heal anyone because their too busy healing a marksman whose tumbling for tips and of those few who are healing, they're refusing to heal small wounds because the wound packs are outragiously priced. The wound packs are outragously priced because there resources have become scarce as have the professionals who can make them of a decent quality with a reasonable price (i.e. no market diversity). Put simply, your making monopolies!

My TKA bought some Ubese about 2 weeks ago and has beenmissioning very hard for the past while. Pieces of the armour where in serious need of repair (condition 3000/19000) and the only Master armoursmith I could find was AFK running macros in the Cantina working on his Entertainer profession. I tried repairing it myself and ofcourse 2 peices crumbled. I searched a large portion of Naboo and Tatooine for new armour and all I found was composite and poor quality padded, and only a couple parts of that and of course the ever common empty vendors everywhere. I personally think that if a vendor is empty, it shouldnt be advertised on the map but thats just my opinion. Anyway, I now have incomplete armour and no way to replace it reasonably.

The server is up and running now and was when I logged off to write this post. In otherwords, I'm more interested in trying to highlight to you what I think are real problems in the game then I am actually playing it. It's really sad too because when things are good, their really good! You may be getting all kinds of rave reviews for your interviews and media hype but the devil doesn't exist on any of the planets in the Galaxies, as usual he's in the details and this game is is becomming a scene from the excersist. I'm just waiting for it's head to stop rotating and puking all over the community which is about the only thing holding this game together.

Please give some thougt to the things I've offered.

However my grammar may be, the point remains:

There are still too many old bugs, issues, problems...that are not fixed, and we are not getting anyreal info on when they will be, and even in some cases, they claimed to be fixed and are not. WE ALL PAY GOOD MONEY TO HAVE FUN, when things dont work as they should, its not fun

FIX WHAT WE HAVE FIRST.......then worry about new content.

Dear Mr. Blackman,

First, let me start by saying thatI have been playing this gamealmost every day from the first day that it was released. I must admit that I have been greatly disappointed in this game due to thelackluster play and excitement. Quite frankly, I often ask myself the same questions that many of your "devoted" players ask like "When will the simple things get fixed" or " Why am I actually paying for this nonsense?" The sad truth to theseinquiriesis that you or any other person affiliated with the gameso far hasn'tanswered them but now I think I know why.

Quote:

"...it's generally my job to help guide the team to ensure that the game fulfills our (and your) expectations, from a design, quality, schedule, and Star Wars standpoint."

I am glad to hear that you are there to fulfill YOUR expectations and quite possibly ours.Your words "and your"almost seem as though they were added to pacify us.

Come on, Mr. Blackman.I think that through all of your latte' days and patting yourself on the back you have truely lost sight of why you have a job. You and yourteam are there to satisfy us as a consumer and so far you have fallen short on doing that. You are looking too far ahead for your solution when your answer is in front of your face. You need to fix the CURRENT PROBLEMS! You need to stop adding things until you do! You and your team are just adding more frustration for ALL of us including yourself! While you are excited about the new colors on the UI, I am bashing my head against my monitor because my group has disappeared off of the screen or I have to run across the planet because my vehicle has just suddenly disappeared. I really don't think you comprehend how frustrating this is to a player. Obviously, because you are not fixing simple things such as these and you keep putting them on the back burner so that the "New Fushia Speederbikes" can be released. Where are your teams priorities?

Step away from this game if you willand putall of thisin another scenario. Take for instance, buying a car. You are the Dealership and I am the buyer. You have just sold me a Yugo. I must admit I probably should have done my research and listened to what otherpeople were telling me but I loved the pictures, the ads, the hype about how great it is to own it and I bought it. But...alas...now my Yugo isn't so great. It doesn't run like it should and some things on itjustdon't work. I have brought my Yugo back to you and instead of fixing the engine you are giving me a state-of-the-art cig. lighter. Myheadlights don't work but you have given me velour seat covers to make it all better.

Well, Mr. Blackman it doesn't make it all better. Every time a legitimate problem is brought up all you and your staff can say is that " We are looking into it." We don't want you to look into it. We want you to FIX it.

You see, I'm not here to bash you. In fact, I feel honored to be able to give input on a game that I want to love but somehow can't. All I want is the chocolate inside and you continue to give me the thin candy-coated shell.

If you do read this I do thank you for your time and wish you and your staff the best of luck. Please Mr. Blackman...Fix my Yugo.

Sincerely,

Doc Mott

Sorry I dont remember where I heard this but it is the best description of this game from day one to current.

"A mile wide and a inch deep"

In short the only thing you have going for you is thealmost Star Wars like theam and good graphics.

You need to fix things and add content not add or ballanceanother thing.

You will loose customers and money if you continue to follow AC2's path and as soon as WOW comes out.

If you like your paycheck then listen to those that give it to you ....."Us"......
