Random Roll (add 2 options)
- In Random Roll setting the game randomly determines from all the group members preset who gets any given looted object. For example, when someone uses loot all on a corpse with multiple items the items will go to different party members (even though only one person clicked on the corpse).

Thanks for adding the option for Random as suggested, sometimes we whiners lead to game changes... or maybe often. This will give all the groupmembers an oppty to get loot, and not have to deal with lottery windows when in the thick of battle.

Hmmm,
Once againBlizzard's awesome game, WOW, is helping to make SWG what it should have been. The all mighty dollar is starting to talk.
WoW is not that good.
SWG > WoW.
That and you are way off subject.

All loot was shown to all party members (in range) via the current system...until JtL was released and it stopped working correctly.

I really liked the way it worked in EQ2 (about the only thing I liked about either that or WOW). Whoever first attacks a mob (solo or group) are the only ones who can do damage to it whilst combat persists, unless they "ask for help." Something like that might work very well in SWG and end a lot of kill stealing.
I agree that something needs to be done, but I don't like that option myself. As some people have said before, that could lead to one person (or group) attacking everything in an areaonce before anyone else to get the "lock" and then killing it all at his (or their) leisure while nobody else has the ability to attack. In essence pre-emptively stealing all the kills in the area. I'm not sure what EQ2 does to avoid this, but I can envision that happening.
I would like to see them make the determining damage be the damage the whole group does rather than the damage an individual does and that would fix the problem. I think it is fair that the group that does the most damage should get the loot rights.
Whoa, did you read the post about the loot system before making this comment. The group leader can set what type of looting system he wants. There still is the free for all looting system and there is the master looting system. So for groups that split the loot fairly, there is a system for you. The lottery system is for groups that don't necessarily know everyone in the group and doesn't want to be stuck getting nothing.
