Thread: Publish 6 Feedback: Vehicle Customization and Ownership

The paint kit is very cool and I sold many of them today. The change with the 3 vehicles in the datapad is also very good. Good job!!
What were you sellling them for? I sold 10 as fast as I could grind them for 550. Will be doing crates in the future.
The price will come back down. I'm greatful that new items are requiring a variety of skills to complete. These steps continue to show SOE's determination to make players work together.

The tool is very good, certainly nice to see different coloured speeders zipping around.
However, why is a driod storage comp needed? Thats just a bit annoying. Either put the whole thing in droid eng, or make it so an art can build the whole thing.
The price of droid storage comps has gone insane...
Are you referring to the shuttle repair exploit? Cause I hope your not complaining about having to pay for customization kits and then cheating to get your ride fixed.

Can anyone also verify yea or nay that currently the paint job doesn't stay if you shuttle or store?
I'd just like to know before I waste credits on one...NOT trying to spread a potential rumor.

You know how there's a bug when you leave your bike out and travel and then Store it and Generate it and it appears with full health as if it's brand new? Well, that same thing causes your paint to disappear because the bike is acting as if it's the first time you've pulled it out of the deed.
The solution: don't leave your bike laying around when you travel. If you are going to be traveling, store your bike and then travel. No more free fixes or else you lose your custom paint job.
Bravo DeQuosaek!
I only intentionally used this obvious bug exploit once to see if it actually worked. Once it did, I sent a bug report in and then used the garages. Might have been a couple times when I used the bug unintentionally because it wouldn't store, but that's another bug that I know SOE is trying to fix. I'm sure once all the storage bugs are gone, they'll work on closing this repair bug and we'll see a lot more people driving x34s.
Really, I hope that SOE fixes the storage problems and then quitely implements code that will disable anybody's ride if it is used repeatedly.
Love it love it love it.
I want more customization. Houses and furniture need more and I would like to see more types of clothing.
DeQuosaek wrote:Maybe if you weren't using a known exploit to fix your bike, you wouldn't lose your coloring! Store your bike before you travel.

So you ask what I think? I think it's broken, even after you ran it on the test server. What gives? Isn't the point of the test server to get rid of these issues BEFORE it goes live? Or am I still in Beta and just don't realize it.
I'm sorry Abe, but maybe you need to do some further testing, if you have done any at all, before making any more stupid statements.
The de-coloring bug happens WHENEVER we store a bike. I stored and called my bike three times in a row in my city, and each time I did this, I lost the trim color on my speeder. I tried it with my alt who owns a swoop, everytime I stored/called, I lost the frame color.
If you're the type that tests these things, no matter why the patches come out so buggy.
- Schematics were created for each sub-component and manufactured
- Another schematic was created for the kit, using the manufactured sub-components
- Crates were loaded into the factory hopper, along with the rest of the ingrediants. Schematic was loaded up.
- The factory will NOT pull the sub-components from the crates to create the final product
- I repeated these attempts at least 6 times using 2 different factories. Both factories were powered up and in working order and created by 2 different crafters.
- If you pull the sub-components out of the crates and load them up individually, the factory will then combine the items to create the final product.
Agreed; I was really hoping to make a bright pink speeder with purple trim!

I like the customisation, however, the palette is somewhat drab.
Could we please get some BRIGHT colours in the game ?

BUG IN CRAFTING VEHICLE CUSTOMIZATION KITS

I had no problem with the factories pulling control units & droid storage modules from the crates to build vehicle customization kits. But the sub-component crates were made pre-patch.
I've made no new sub-components since the patch. Is anyone else having problems with factories not pulling post-patch built sub-components from factory crates?
