more cool stuff to put it my house!!
face it the crafteble furniture is kinda limited =p
like the half moon shaped glas tabel..I want one!! ![]()
The loot should be based on your skills and race, make it dynamic. I am tired of getting all this armor and weapons I can't use. Out of all the loot I have recieved of quests... I have only been able to eat the food dropped and use a fishing pole. Everything else asa CH/Pistoleer Wookiee does me absolutley nothing. Oh sure I can use Han Solo's pistol. But, it's a piece of KaKaa. I would also like to have quests that really have nothing to do with the story line that pay off in whackey ways. Like a quest that got you a covered mount for your pet. Or have like a Four Points badge. That is given to all that have gone to the four corners of each planet in the galaxy. Either way... The game needs to improve in the quest and loot functionality. There are a lot of people droppig out of this game for lack of content. We have already lost 1/3 of our membership to bordem.

If you want to keep crafters integral to the game then I would suggest making some unique schematics drop as loot. Why do schematics have to be static to skill level. Why can't crafters add unique schematics to their datapad? Why can't schematics be copied and sold to other crafters who have the skill level to make that item. One of the major problems I see with crafting is that no crafter at a certain level is any better or worse then any other crafter at that level. In other words, given the same resources, the same skill level, and the same tools crafter A can only make the exact same things that crafter B can make. Give the crafters some uniqueness, allow one crafter to be better cause he has the only "uber armor" schematic in the game. And in all honesty what good is an item if you can't make more, "Give a man a fish and he'll eat for a day, teach a man how to fish and ..."
I can just see it... Player A is looting through some dead guys house only to find the plans to some super weapon. "Damnit, where is the weapon!" he says as he tosses around the body of the NPC. "These plans are useless to me, where the heck and I going to find resource C?", he screams as he kicks the dead body again. "But wait, maybe I should hold onto this just incase I find Resource C. It could make for some serious profitability.", he says as he pats the dead body on the back...
Not everything good comes from instant gratification.

Are there any plans for veteran rewards?
Like when your account is 1 year old you receive something unique similar to UO.
Low Level/Easy Mobs should be cash only. 10-25 credits.. nothing serious. Newbies could take these guys, so give only a few credits per kill..
Med Mobs - These guys would con yellow to a newbie, but white to anyone with Box II or III in any weapon skill. These guys would give a little more cash (less than 100), and sometimes 1 weapon that a high level artisan (not weaponsmith) could create, but the
condition would be less than 200 max, and it could not be sold on the Bazaar.
EX: A CDEF Pistol with 70/190 condition that does 35-70 damage. The Bazaar would block any sales of items with less than 200 max condition (to limit server space) and these things would fall apart the first time you repaired them. A mid level player would be able to use it for a bit, skill up to a cert for a weapon that a weaponsmith could make, and the dropped weapon would only be around for a few weeks before it died or was destroyed.
Harder Mobs (con Yellow to Box IV, yellow/white to Novice elite class) would drop more credits (100-200) and instead of weapons, skill tapes and powerups. Skill tapes would be weak (+1 - +3).. but would be stackable in sockets.. So a duster with 4 sockets would be able to take 4 skill tapes with a +3 to make +12 total. Powerups would be STRONGER than an artisan could create (say 80% Max Damage increase) but would be very limited in usage (powerup has 100 charges, these might drop with only 70 charges left).. Since they are powerups, they eventually will die anyway, and the 'high powered' benefit would be short-lived at best.
Uber Mobs like Jedi, Pirate Kings and the like should have UBER treasure.. but nothing that would destroy the game.. Unique Jewerly that a Tailor cannot make, paintings or statues that you can display in a house/case.... things like this. Treasure maps that would spawn a cave/area with unique creatures and more unique items.. Map to unique locations on the planet... Maybe a remote location of a high concentration of a particular resource.. Maybe a locked container with a stack of high quality (+900) steel, hides or copper.. Maybe 100 units of a unique resource like Ditanium Steel or Rainbow Gems if there are limited quantities on the server?
High level faction missions could drop items such as data transmissions or delivery schedules.. sort of like the project dead eye, but general stuff that you could turn
in right away and get FP credit for it.. (delivery schedule of supplies to imperial base on Talus, list of high-level rebel supports in Naboo government.. that sort of thing).
These things could be turned into a recruiter any time for bonus faction points....
Forget broken items, they are not worth having. Forget low level weapons that newbies try to sell on the Bazaar for any credits, and higher people just destroy.. Forget clothing items that tailors can make.. odds are that the person who finds the item probably won't want to wear the item anyway, and if they did, they'd come to a tailor to have it made...
If you want to reduce server size, give people things that they can/want to use...
If you must limit them, make them powerful, but limit the number of uses..
Prevent people from selling low-level loot on the Bazaar..
Maybe a stack of Resources.... medium mobs would be average stuff, small number of units..
Higher mobs would be higher quality/harder to find resources..
I would like to see some kind of skills enhancement whereby you can add additional skills outside of your normal skill tree. This would allow for the professions to be more unique. It should be a quest that only a master can complete. The reward should be unique to each profession. There should be multiple possibilities for each profession. For instance an architect may have 5 additional skill items they can choose from, but only two can be in effect at any given time. Crafting skills could add additional schematics (datapad) that require components from 3-4 other quest reward skills. And the sub components of those are quest only as well. This would allow for really Unique items to be created because of the difficulty involved and the cooperation needed between say, 2 architects a DE and a combat medic.
Things that could be produced...Faction structures, Unique housing, ground vechicles/ships when they are implemented...
Combat classes could get additional attacks, or bonuses to attacks that would be effective vs certian creature/NPC types like a hate list... maybe only certian mobs from thier starting planet.
This would not cause the game to be redesigned, however it would require extensive additions to the skill system as well as the crafting system...
Schematics that can only be obtained from more challenging quests for architechs. Schematics that would allow a master architech to build house add-ons, example would be patios, radar towers functioning or not, add-ons that increase the number of items that your house can hold. I could keep going on but I think you get the point.
I could think of others but it is difficult to think of quest items everyone would go after that wouldn't upset the crafting community economy. Basically every player wants new items or rare items and that by all means is what is always sought after in any MMORPG regardless of what a dev or devs think o nthat issue. Schematics only actual playercrafters could use that can only be obtained through quest is about the best approach without offsetting the crafter economy. Yes you could only get it through quest and yes it still takes an actual person to produce it before you could use it.
Mega faction points would be another great reward or auto promote rank up when a certain quest has been completed. That would be another aspect is faction related items only whether through points or items that would be cool which means you need to add faction items so get to it.

Here's a stone, there's two birds
Unique item SCHEMATIC drops of limited production - after you make, mmm, 5, p00f, it's gone!

"We agree that you should not be punished for finishing the task before we increased the reward. We will probably have an NPC who you can talk to who will allow you to restart the adventure from the beginning."

Rather than force someone to complete the entire thing, just add an NPC to the end of the list who has one extra mission. That mission gives the improved reward.
If you wanted to give improved rewards during all the missions of a theme park, then you would want to let people do the whole thing over as you said.

We were goofing around in another thread when the idea of Ewok pets came up. Now, it wouldn't really be a pet as much as it would be a friend. That would be a pretty cool reward for a difficult quest/mission. One ewok bodyguard. ![]()
(I'm sort of thinking along the lines of Chewie in the movies.Sure, he was agreat character, but he was really just Han's pet/friend/bodyguard.)
I'm guessing it would be like a faction soldier, but without the permadeath. Of course you couldn't trade it away or sell it... Maybe after a while he just stays in your house as your butler or something. ![]()
I think Drakedude gave the king of all answers
I would like a badge "of completion" and a point or two added for the stat pool.
course I would like skill tree to climb instead of a professional tree to climb. Those skills in my chosen profession cheaper than those that aren't.
A lot of people have been talking about schematics. I really like this idea. Neat guns drop every once and so often that have specials attached to them (ie, fire damage to a pool, poison, skill bonus). The probelm is that the properties of the gun itself are horrible - a la every looted gun you get. Why not a limited use schematic for one of these guns taht allows thye crafter to craft a nice version of the gun that has the special ability added. It could even be a schematic for a special power handler or feeder that adds the special property to the gun...
Make them limited use a nd attached to non-repeatable questsa dn these items will be vaery rare and sought after.
