Last mission last night (and we tried 4 times in a row)

After going up 4 times prior, on fridayI decided to test the solo walkthrough non combat way. It took 20minutes i got aggro'd a few times but i finally got 1 of the 3 badges. Happy that we had a schematic for something we got a hunting party together to try and clear out just enough to get 1 or 2 powerplants out of the 7 tickets we had between us.

Team:

3 Master BH with additional pistol and carbine skills.

1 squad leader /master carbine

1 smuggler/master pistol/TKA

2 Riflemen

1 master combat medic

1 master doc

First time we go up with a plan cleared a path to the armoire and found no less than 5 SBD who didnt like us looting the 45-110 5.0spd LLC from by them. Many deaths incaps and we escape and regroup.

2: Go up clear most of the starting floor then out warps 2 SBDs and again starts laying waste to us no one died and we hopped out but it was close

3: Go back up again SBD warps from god knows where starts whacking at us, we head to the pods but there are SBDs now guarding the escape pods.

4: SBD hell, we get up again and all hell breaks out.

I have no problem with the difficulty to a point, it is challenging and fun, that is until the SBD roll out in numbers then its game over. Most of the people i know that finished it since the SBD started reproducing have all included 1 4444 jedi guardian solely to aggro the sbd and sabre block everyshot.

SO why is it I can walk through solo and get the schematic but a group gets wasted.

To Whom It May Concern,

I am very disappointed in the way this turned out. For this to be fun, it needs to be a scaled adventure, based on the party level. If the goal is to prevent people from soloing, require a 3 party group or some other limitation. Camping 160k mobs in a required room does not a happy quest make.

Dracoblood hit the nail on the head right here!

TH I think this is something that must be taken into account. Scale the Corvette to meet the skill levels of the players. AND require a certain number of players just to get on board. Require 3 players and say ALL 3 need the ticket and boom you've got no worries about soloing and people are actually earning what you're giving out.

As I stated in a previous post I'm all for difficult but for people who don't dedicate their entire character to combat find it impossible. Some Combat is of course necesary... but all combat excludes players who are part crafter or part community support (Dancers, Musicians, Rangers, etc.)

BTW SBD's warping from the control room to the cloning room (in an attempt to follow dead players)... then camping it... is bad news.

Lost a full set of Composite because of an SBD that would kill me the second I stood up from being cloned and just sat in the cloning room. The rest of my group found it hysterical... as did I... but I'm not risking it again.

well 35 pages and no reponse from a single dev yet but we all see their work more droid more db being db after laying on your back incap for 60 seconds or more being db with only 5 seconds left on incap i suggest everyone just bug the vette as having to many spawns and being to hard maybe if the receave 50 to 100 bug reports a day and they will get the point

This is retarded. These are the same punny droids that died in ONE HIT from small arms fire, from a COMPLETELY UNTRAINED WIELDER NO LESS. Yet inside the games they are WALKING GODS.

Well I doubt we are going to get much of a response from the Devs or anything this week. It's E3. Hopefully I'll get lucky and my bud will get me a pass. I can then ask the chaps on the floor about the vette. Although I'll probablly have better things to ask and see.

spent a day running the corvette and after much frustration decided it wasn't for me, does this mean it's too hard or too easy no. I just simply didn't enjoy the adventure i play the game for the dynamic who can tell status, and this seemed to work contrary to that. I think having areas lik ethis is a good idea, but you wanted some feedback so here goes.

1) The corvette is tough no doubting that , 2 TKMS, 2 Master Commandos, a master rifleman, a master pistoleer, and 2 master docs and we got totally owned on it. Why? Organization. Simply the corvette needs the group to be organized

2) My only complaint about the corvette is perhaps maybe, removing or decreasing the amount of item decay on there, i know when we ran it there was several people lost a great deal of resources cause we were uninformed, our fault not yours.

3) as an entertainer who heals alot of would be corvette heros i hasve found the wound levels that come out of it to be uniformly incredibly high maybe somethign that also needs to be looked at

Cheers

The aggroing through walls and deathblowing from across the room needs to stop. The thing is dang hard but fun...Those two issues really ruin it.

My partner (master pistoleer) and I (master smuggler) made the attempt on Jabba's rescue mission last night. She walked everywhere she went, got all the codes, got right to where the prisoners were - and because something on the starting level had aggroed her, she couldn't converse with the NPC and thus we couldn't complete the mission. I gave myself 1000 bf, totally black bars, and took a brand new heavy set of composite down to 50% trying to break the aggro on her, but when they would finish killing me, they would reaggro on her from across the ship and on another level.

We could have completed the mission if the inability to talk to someone while "in combat" was removed. Frankly, just because I am shooting at someone and being shot at does not mean I can't talk to someone, either.

But we did get 2 nifty bantha dolls and a dose of giggledust. Big deal. Make the reward worth the risk, folks. The looting potential is just not there.

I did have to run a couple of times, but mostly walked everywhere. Got incapped once, but was apparently forgotten about by whoever incapped me, was able to heal up and get some codes I needed and walk out of the room.

I watched my partner just get wiped as he covered my back and kept the NPCs off of me (he did a great job!). Imagine how great it felt as I approached the prisoner cell and entered the hard-won code to unlock the door and free him with ten minutes to spare! It looked like the two of us hadcompleted this mission by doing our homework, going on some reconnaisance runs and developing a plan, then using our wits and keeping our cool.

Then imagine how it felt to see "You cannot converse while in combat" (or something to that effect) upon attempting to speak with the prisoner... the incredible frustration at realizing that all we would get for this effort was a couple of bantha dolls and some giggledust. (Who uses that stuff anyway? You can't sell it. You can't GIVE it away. Oh, wait. SOE/Lucas gives it away ).

Does anyone know if you can complete the tasks necessary to destroy the ship (on the Neutral Destroy Mission) when you are aggroed? Seems you could do somethings, like pick stuff up and use terminals or computers while aggroed, but you could not put the spare droid part into the droid (I ended up risking the electricity damage to unlock the meeting room).and of course, could not speak to an NPC...

Back when I did the destroy mission, I was able to set the computers while agroed to complete the mission.

However, that was before the "fixes," so I'm not sure now.

The issue with talking to the prisoners was always present.

You just have to get incapped or feign death (if you have the ability).

Of course, with the "fixes," getting incapped is more likely to mean death now.

The Force of Will skill may help you to get up before being killed.

Hopefully you can then talk to the prisoners before being agroed again.
