i be the first to amitted im impress by the vette and the art owrk and feel of it. how ever if i was to rate the vette i say to damm Freaking hard. and now the db more hell i thought it was bad enought when you go incap right after standing up from a incap and didnt even have tim to heal. but like that would help when there 4 or 5 SBD all hitting for 2k. and then there was the problem of some of the npc waiting till you only had 5 to 10 sec left on your incap before the DB you. And let not forget that it all ok for NPC to shoot throught walls and floor but not for us.

AS for the devs changing anything and making the mission scalably or even making it a non steath mission will be about 2 years from now when only one or two groups go up a month. let face it the only way this vette can be finished by fighting your way thought is with atleast a group of 20 or more

As for me im done riding around and spend a couple thousand credits for the ticket to go to the vette, only to get nothing but a few e11 and stun baton which are nothing but trash weapons, and then have to have some doc and dance heal my 800 wounds and 1k bf . and if i get lucky what do i get but a new speeder schematic and if im really luckly a power plant which sells in the 3 mill to 5 mill range . Damm if i turn the money down to have my own speeder i have to worry about it being disable while ridding it around. so now using it on raids or the adv planets damm i know they nightsister would love to destory a av-21 speeder so bad.

I've attempted the corvette twice as a Master Rifleman / Master Ranger. My group, on both attempts, consisted of at least one Master Doctor plenty of back up Stim Bs and some more elite combat professions. In both cases we got trounced, but left the corvette laughing having enjoyed ourselves thoroughly.

I do have some criticism though...

Now,I do think the corvette should be difficult. But I think you should to take a stand and reverse the current thinking when it comes to these types of adventures. Rather than put it out, wait a week / two and make it harder. You should put it out as nigh-impossible, and lower it to a more acceptable difficulty. This trend of making new content easy... then hard is making it very discouraging for the people who wait to make sure there are no serious bugs. The last thing I wanted was to end up coming off the corvette with nothin in my inventory or on my droids. I repeat I'M ALL FOR EXTREMELY DIFFICULT MISSIONS. But if you're going to retweek the AI it should be in the player's favor not against it.

The loot drops coming off the Corvette are great. But they're really not for the crafters that use them. Having a Master Artisan type, you can build an AV-21, but your ability to get one is limited to buying or dedicating SP, you might want to use for running a business, to combat skills that currently might not be effective up there. There should be a better role for these types in these scenarios, or alternate (equally challenging though not combat related) methods of gaining these schematics.

Criticisms aside, this is a great addition to the game, and I look forward to conquering the mountain.

TH:

Is there any chance we will ever hear any developer response about all of the complaints by players about the "fixes" to the Corvette?

10+ Super Battle Droids ina closet guarding an armoire?!?!?!

Come on.

20+ Super Battle Droids in one side of the Engine Room?!?!?!?

Come on.

Now a group can't possibly handle all the enemies on the ship, which apparently was how you guys wanted it done, given that this "fix" was implemented to prevent soloing.

Also, I don't really understand what the problem with people soloing the missions was anyway.

What's wrong with player creativity.

Also, what's wrong with players using the skills of a covert Rebel/Imperial/Jabba operative to get the job done.

For most of the missions, this would actually make more sense.

Indeed, the NPCs who hand out the missions (andthe developers' original description of the missions) made it sound like they were supposed to be secretive.

There is nothing secretive about a group of ten combat professionals leaving enemy corpses, as well as their own corpses, all around the ship.

Also, given the AV powerplant drop rate, it is totally unfair to people in large groups.

If the mission is completed by a group of 10, which is now absurdly difficult, there will be ten schematics and anywhere from 0 to 2 powerplants (more often 0).

At least soloing or going in small groups gave people a decent chance of actually being able create an AV speeder.

As it is, a group will either have to sell a powerplant (if any) so they can split the value fairly, or they fight over who will get it.

Very nice.

Please change the corvette back to the way it was.

I did it in groups and solo and it was tons of fun.

In fact, as others have said, it was incredibly tense, fun, and rewarding either way (perhaps more so solo).

Now it isn't.

Furthermore it's just silly (e.g., 10 Super Battle Droids in a closet guarding an armoire).

Please take the players' perspectives into consideration.

If you read these boards you will realize that these changer are not welcome by your customers.

Thank you.

I wouldn't mind the difficulty if they would do a few things:

1) Add a medic area that is either safe to begin with or once the mobs are cleared there it stays safe and docs can buff/heal wounds while in there.

2) Have an entertainment area that is safe or can be made safe and allow entertainers to heal fatigue and buff people there.

3) Add a normal cloning area that is safe where you can clone yourself so you have 2 choices where you go if you die.

4) Add another hour or two to the time limit and make the quest portions linked to item drops off named MOBs up there so you must kill at least those MOBs to get through to the locked areas of the ship. This would allow groups to spend the time to organize themselves to get the job done. If you got wiped out, you would be able to fall back and get yourself back together for another assault.

To Whom It May Concern,

Let me begin by saying I've really enjoyed my time with Star Wars Galaxies. My family and I formed a guild on the Bria server, and we've had a lot of fun doing the various quests and seeking out badges. After unlocking the force sensitive slot my goal was to earn all of the badges I possibly could.

Our guild has 5 members; only four of which were qualified to journey to the Corvette (The Dancer had to stay home).

A Master Bounty Hunter, a Master Carbineer with BH Carbine skills, A Master Squad Leader / Master Creature Handler, and a Master Combat Medic / Master Doctor went on board Lt. Velso's Imperial Destroy Mission.

The four of us were grouped with a level 50 spider and two AT-STs, so it was just the seven characters (we weren't sure what to expect, so we went to Allakhazam.com and printed out the maps from the guide there).

We all have insanely good equipment. We were fully buffed, wearing beautiful Composite, had all the food, drink and drug buffs we could consume and wereeven wearing Personal Shield Generators (for whatever that's worth).

Having laid out our plans and knowing where to go, we ventured into the chamber with the terminal to find the sequence code. Inside, 4 Super Battle Droids with 160,000 hit points promptly defeated us, going so far as to blow up one of the AT-ST's (*ouch*).

Needless to say we could not complete our mission.

---

We've been playing since Launch, but haven't really played much for the last month other than harvesting minerals for medicine and money.

I am very disappointed in the way this turned out. For this to be fun, it needs to be a scaled adventure, based on the party level. If the goal is to prevent people from soloing, require a 3 party group or some other limitation. Camping 160k mobs in a required room does not a happy quest make.

Please, make this adventure's difficulty scaled.

Kneight Incendiary

PS -- Those of us who had 3 AT-ST's before the patch to limit the number of callable factional pets were unfairly dealt with. Please allow us to trade in factional pets to our recruiters for a return of faction points.

I keep going to Adar Tallon in Tyrena and he tell me "Ah, you're here, but I see you are currently busy. I could have used your help. Maybe come back when you havefinished your current task." I have no current tasks or missions that I know of. Last thing I did was complete the Light-side Jedi Missions on Dantooine the day before, and now I am trying the Corvette. I need to know what I must do to allow me to complete the Rebel Corellian Corvette missions. Is there a way to clear any current assigned work? I sent in Customer Service tickets and they are absolutely no help, just tell me to talk to other players and to check websites.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Try talking to NPC mission givers (the ones with the blue "i" overhead) and see if you can bring up a conversation option "I'd like to work for you" or something similar. Choosing that option should clear your current mission (whatever it is) and let you go back to the Rebel NPC for the corvette mission.

I don't know how many of you may have had the experience of playing D&D with a DM who felt it was him against the players, and he had to beat the players. Well, the DM has all the tools and all the power, the DM always wins. Games were never fun with that kind of DM. This is reminding me a lot of that. Has anyone actually enjoyed the Corvette since the difficulty was increased?

You know - I had the exact same thought when I saw the changes. We had one guy in the group that loved to throw these impossible battles at the group - then got mad if the group managed to overcome it and would go try to find something worse. It actually takes a lot of experience beforea DM outgrows the need to be better than the players.

Same here, reminds me of the " You managed to beat my Frost Giant, have fun with the 4 Red Dragons on your way back to town." attitude of a lot of new DMs. I wonder if the Devs are mostly frustrated DMs who never got over the fact players play the game for fun, not to be destroyed by "content".

Since Corvette missions only interfere with other corvette missions, i.e you can have a corvette mission and a normal NPC mission going at the same time, I suspect that you are currently working for one of the other Corvette quest givers.

I would suggest you head back to any of the quest givers you have spoken to in the past and see if you get the option to stop working for them.

Also if you already have a travel authorisation for one of the missions, whether it is on you or in your bank, you cannot get another mission. You need to dispose of the travel authorisation -you might be able to just destroy it, but i suspect you will either have to go to the person it came from and cancel the mission, or use it to get to the corvette.

Hope this helps

Has the destroy mission been tinkered with??? Ive done it before with the same group and have always found 4 super battle droids in the engine room, that dont agro you that much.

Tonight though there were 12 of the ******* things in there and they went agro as soon as you steped up to the door. The least damage given by any of them in one shot as far as i could see was 1137.

Now if you were fortunate during the 2 sec it took them to kill or incap some one you could make it a bit further into the room before being killed or if you were very lucky being incaped.

Now thats not too bad (yeah right) but 7/10 times when you stood up youd get killed, and all youd done is gone from incaped to standing now by this point everyone is getting a bit ****** off.

It took us over 30 min just to get far enough in to play pass the parcel with the part for the droid.

needless to say we didnt get it completed, up till now it had been fun doing the corvette, but this was just ******* stupid

was this just are bad luck or has anyone else had the same thing today.

oh yeah, i completely overlook the fact that the troopes were agroing before you saw them or they could see you, as well as the shooting through walls thing

Ask me no questions, I'l tell you no lies.

Bwahahahah. Welcome to the thread Dengar. Everyone is pissed with these "improvements." If you want to beat it, just take one friend. Some incap and dodge food. Then solo it. You can win it everytime.

Hello All

I had been arranging hunts to the Corvette most of last week. We had attempted and failed the mission 4 or 5 times but we had fun trying and where all in favour of trying again. Every time we got stuck in the Engine room with the SBD’s that everybody hates

Now because of RL I was unable to try again until Saturday 08/05. So we assembled and a couple of us who had looked at the patch notes discussed the new DB rules and how we might find it even harder this time. We where sadly not wrong.

Dev’s no offence but this is NOT good. Now there are even more SBD’s and they are everywhere. Making it impossible to get past the first part of the mission. We did not even reach the engine rooms this time, something we have NEVER failed to do.

As for the new DB it’s a JOKE!!! I can’t believe that they did this! It used to be if the group could keep the Creature/droid/whatever busy they would not DB a person (you know because they are to busy fighting). Now it’s a case of they DB before the body hits the decks.. giving a Master Doctor like myself no time to heal… even worse as quickly as I can revive my comrades they will kill them before I have time to heal them again…Then they kill me.. this is not a game… there is no strategy… you can’t run from the SBD’s… 2 hits and your dead even if buffed.. Then you loose your buff and things just get worse.

Ok if this was done to stop soloing I’d just like to ask one question to the Dev’s.

Why not, instead of making the content impossible, make the AI spot people walking through the levels?

I don’t get why instead of targeting the problem they had to just make it impossible. Sounds like a very messed up logic to me.

We had got 3 tickets because we wanted to go again once we had healed, but because of the shear stupid hardness of this we decided we did not want to go again. Some of use are not willing to risk our 500k 80% composite armour on something that is just simply not possible.

As a result I will not be arranging any more hunts to the Corvette until this is sorted. It’s just not fun anymore

Creamcake,

I feel your pain brother. But you just aren't elder enough in eyes of the Devs. I tried the maco heal self thing and still works great. Ran right into the Droid room, past the broken droid, through the electric field, and unlocked the meeting room. Sad but true. I guess it make me elder. /puke

I love the analogy to the pissed off DM. I used it today to describe it today when my teamate said, "But Sebun, according to this computer screen upstairs it says the SBDs are fighting the STs. How come they aren't?"

Painfully,
Sebun
