I loved the corvette. If you asked me what my favorite part of the game was i'd have to say that was it. But now 99% of incaps mean deathblow. I know devs might have wanted us to go in commando style but i've been doing it solid snake style and like it. Now if i get a bad run (if the SBDs decide to gang up on me as often happens which i don't mind all to much) i'm gone, buffs are gone and i can't finish the mission at all. This is not challenging us, this is just not fun. I don't want to have to take a group of 20 TKAs just so we can heal ourselves to survive. Yes i know i was able to solo it but i enjoyed that and that was my hard work figuring out how to do it. Now please withdraw this update like that last crafting thing you withdrew.

As with much of the rest of the game, the npc's are way to overpowered. THEY ARE HUMANS JUST LIKE US. WHY HAVE 10+X THE AMOUNT OF HAM AS US? And the droids, well they blow up real nice in the movies from one blaster shot, here they have 165k ham and we have 1000 without buffs after we die. And they hit for 1k+ damage. I'm so sick of the combat in this game in general. Start listening to the star wars fans. In the end, the rest of these people will have moved on, and we will be all you have left. After almost a year of this crap I'm this close to going back to console games, saying screw having community, and being able to conquer some things again. In rogue squadron 3 i can take out 100+ battle droids in one stage without dying. Here one is *CERTAIN DEATH. GET A CLUE DEVS.

In my opinion the latest changes to the corvette totally screwed it up. It was a fun place to go, although I see how someone could just run up there and get the loot drops. But the 'fix'destroyes it. You might as well take it out of the game now. You don't need battle droids everywhere to stop the loot runs, you just need to move the loot around and have more sites for it. It was already too hard for most groups - although I could usually put groups together to do it and had completed it a few times. But now, you just took the best thing in swg and ruined it. I was starting to get excited about the game again, now I am kind of depressed. No, I won't stop playing because of it, but wow that is a buzz kill.


I hope you don't do the same super hard stuff for the death watch, we need more content, not just harder stuff, but more stuff to do for ALL of us. Just making things hard is not content. Don't get me wrong, there needs to be some hard stuff, but there needs to be a way for it to be done - and not just by the top 0.1%.

I have to say that whenever I take anyone with me others become decoys for the most part. If their goal is to complete the mission and check for loot....which is almost everyone that wants to go cause lets face it they all want a powerplant for an AV-21- I tell them we won't kill a thing.


With my Doc buffs and Master Doc skills I can take 2 SBD's pounding on me a bit....enough to play cat and mouse with them.....but I know it's silly to even try to fight them.


I have completed it successfully now 6 times since they beefed it up with only one death but I play it as a game of cat and mouse and just try to keep myself alive.


If they wanted to make it harder but still doable to fight your way through they should've designed it more like the EQ dungeons. Have the "standard" mobs be like the normal soldiers. At the loot points put mini-boss mobs and at the Engine room put one main boss mob. Have the mini-mobs drop the loot/powerplant and the main boss mob needs to die to change the engine setting or whatever the final step is on a mission. Also have the mini's and the boss mobs have different things that they can do and don't just assume that the only way to make it harder is to jack hitpoints and how hard they hit for. Just a few thoughts but you could have one do an AE Mind poison or have it so the mob does something like a teleport touch every 30 seconds to one person in the group that puts them at a random part of the ship where they might aggro other mobs. Not the best ideas but you get the point. Also change it so you can buff and heal wounds there so people will be more apt to fight and not just "incap" their way through it. That is the biggest reason I tell people we will fight nothing cause if you die and lose buffs it's just too much of a pain.


It looks like with the changes that they wanted to "force" grouping anyway and if they didn't want people just running through it then they should've done it the way I laid out above. Make the important points of the mission tough but not impossible and if they want people to fight through it make it so that needs to be done but don't do it so people get their socks blasted off as soon as they enter a room.

People dumb enough to run this dungeon get what they deserve...


1. Destroyed armor

3. Minimal Loot

4. A badge.....WOOOOOOOH....

5. *MAYBE* a *part* of a stupid landspeeder that isn't any faster than stuff you can craft by the truckload from just metal...brilliant...


I'll just keep making millions doing other things and laughing at those getting slaughtered for a stupid temporary status symbol. But, by all means, please keep doing it. You make the Weaponsmiths and Armorsmiths all very very wealthy, as well as the Miners who supply THEM.

Hello,


We (10 people)had played in Corellian Corvette yesterday (4 may), it's our first time and we haven't win it. We go to die a lot, but it's very fun. Next time will maybe better.


But there are some bugs in Corellian Corvette:

- Dark trooper shots at us downthrough wall, we are in the elevatorand he is at upper-level?? This happens at top-level and we are in the elevator at starting-level.

- Some Dark trooper and / or Super battle droid walks through the closed door? Is that ok?


In some forum, they talk that devs put more Super Battle Droid in Corellian Corvette since new patch. I don't know, this is my first time. But I have seen in Corellian Corvette, some room are 2 or 3 super battle droid in there :S. Hmm i think that is too many, it must be fun to play it with a team of 10 people. Or must be good tactics in teamwork that a team can/must kill more droidsto get a goal, but not kill all droids or some super battle droid,because there is time limit.


I hope the devs will fix it or about my idea. Thank you,

i not say the corvette was perfect before the update but afther the update it faaar from it
i think the devs ruined it by adding super battle droids ... don't thay get it?


SWG thakes place between episode 4 and 5... almost all battle droids have been whiped out afther episode 3 so why do thay make a full blockade runner full whit super battle droids i did not see any battle droid in the a new hope ship... this realy messes up the time frame and i could live whit 4 or 5 in the back butt why almost afull ship?


common this is the time of stormtroopers and rebels NOT battle droids

The reason I started adding these up was when browsing the first 10 pages of the this thread over again I kept seeing the word "Awesome!!" over and over again....so it got me thinking...


btw -those numbers are off by 1 person..darkfallen..who said it was still too easy post patch. Missed that one


But what surprises me is just the shear number of people that ran it and said "awesome"..over and over. The "too easy" and "too hard" (my interpretation) is really dependant on how u do the mission. ie..solo and running..or a group that goes down fighting as well as how many times u do it..practice makes perfect!

Ok so this really sucks now, I sold my speeder to someone that really wanted it; I was feeling pretty good that day. Then this god awful patch comes and the corvette missions suddenly have super battle droids galore! Thanks devs you really made my day. Why the hell would you do something like that? I finally had something to do besides wait for the new path to jedi, and you go and screw it up.

The Corellian Corvette came out to be insanely difficult, that seemed to be the intent of the design, and it was successful at it. Not all that many people figured out how to successfully complete it, but a few of us did. It wasn't easy, but with a little bit of good luck and a lot of hard work and concentration, it could be successfully completed. Now the Devs have seen fit to turn up the difficulty on it yet again. It used to be that most of the NPCs would not Death Blow unless you absolutely provoked them to do so, now it seems all of them do at every opportunity. It used to be that the only Super Battle Droids were in the Engine Room, and would aggro on the other NPCs, now there are a great many more Super Battle Droids, and the new ones at least, do not aggro on the other NPCs. It seems to have gone from something that could be completed with effort, to, well, I don't know what, but I feel like I am being grieffed. To add insult to injury, I got an email with the Devs bragging about how few people have been able to complete the Corvette. It seems to me there is little point to "content" that the player are unable to complete, that's not really content. I don't know how many of you may have had the experience of playing D&D with a DM who felt it was him against the players, and he had to beat the players. Well, the DM has all the tools and all the power, the DM always wins. Games were never fun with that kind of DM. This is reminding me a lot of that. Has anyone actually enjoyed the Corvette since the difficulty was increased?
