let face it we stated that the vette was to hard unless you sneak thought it so the make it hard with the extra SBD . the dev ruin the feel of this game by adding a few uber npc instead of adding qwave of normal troopers and such. in all the movies it a hand full againt overweming number not a handfull againt a few uber stromies.

second i believe the only reason for the vette was to

A) eat up player time and a few credits

B) make sure player got enought wounds and bf that they seeked out a dancers and docss for healing intsead of tk meds

C) help get ready of that double and triple slice armor that out there

Well I've had a chance to go up about 5 times now. Only once have my group completed it.

It really is too dificult especially under a an hour time limit. I am not crazy about these uber HAM novatroopers (which drives me nuts in an imerssion sort of way.) The Superbattle Droids aren't "challenging" there "suicide". Not being able to rebuff is also a huge inconvience.

I am of the opinion that the difficulty should scale depending on the group.

You should add an animation of an escape pod launching when you take one in the game.

Now what you did right. The corvette looks and sounds great! I really felt like I was in the movie. Nice job! It really is a bit disapointing that the most "star warsy" event in the game is more of a exercise in frustration.

I really hope you reqonsider the difficulty of the corvette. That's my 2 cents. Thanks for reading.

Holy Failed Designer!

I've been running the vette since it was launched. Always with a group, sometimes 2 peole, often 10. We don't try to complete the thing anymore because fighting SBD's is just dumb. Can't intimidate them. Melee profs with no ranged mitigation just get chewed by by the 1000dps these guys dole out, and their armor is just dumb. Oh, and they don't drop loot.

So on publish day, we gather to run the vette and.. No Super Battle Droids. The heavens part, the holy choir sings, and we all rejoice. Finally, FUN and challenging. And finally, 2 more powerplants. Most of my regulars finally have av21's now.

Then the patch hits. And what the bloody heck is that super battle droid doing in engineering room?! so we flee upstairs figuring we'll salvage the run with armoires. but.. what's that? too many SBD's to count in the armoire room on the upper deck? Laying there, dead, what happens? NOTHING. The CorSec Admiral stands next to Super Battle Droid as if commending him on the bits of Anita laying all over the floor.

So, fluke, right? We abort and try again with a different tactic. And as we grab the prisoner room codes something very strange happens. I'm playing doom again because guess what happened as I touched a console. A creature magically appeared out of thin air in front of me. Burstrun? uh, not in space anita. Warcry? uh, it's a bot anita, it doesn't GET scared. Pikatta Pie? no, it never misses. Not ever. 125 ranged defense, center of being, and 120 counter attack does nothing. Forget it, you're dead. Maybe a CorSec major will comment on the excellent work of the droid again.

Okay, so im grumpy.

But what the bloody heck is going on over there at SOE? First, the vette is flat out hard. The vette would be great content for "elders" if the SBD's were either TRULY loose (sorry, they just SIT there until a PC walks into their field of view, and stop as soon as said pc is incapped or dead), or if they were in a place to allow for optional content. Or heck, had loot!

Second, im sorry, but whoever on staff designed the pad to spawn mobs needs to be taken out back and stoned with stacks of 3.5" floppy disks of doom and wolfenstein 3d. PAD spawn is outdated, outmoded, and just plain BAD DESIGN. If you want an SBD in a room, place one there. DONT MAKE IT SPAWN WHEN THE PLAYERS ACTIVATE A SWITCH!!!!

Third, im sorry, did someone find a new way to play with your toy and you didn't like it? So what if players were running blinding into the engine room to put a part in a droid during combat? Look at your source material - HOW many times did Artoo work on a door while being shot at?? Look, because players figure out how to "bypass" content that you "worked so hard on creating", you should commend them on their ingenuity, not punish them. Why can't I repair a droid in combat? Everyone else in the galaxy can do non-combat things in combat. Watch the holy Trilogy again people. This is your source material. We all want to live the dream. Don't handcuff us because you're bent out of shape that someone figured out how to get around your little death trap.

I hope someone (a DEV if we're lucky) makes a note of this comment. It, from what I've read so far, is how the majority of the players feel to some extent or another.

I'd understand if the people were using exploits to complete the quests, but I mostly hear people using tactics such as sending in PC's to distract MOB's. Now I don't know about anyone else, but that qualifies as a stratagy in my book.

If this was an attempt to prevent players from eating up the content faster than you intended, then I have to ask if it's worth ruining the content to give it a longer lifespan. Because, from what I hear, the content is ruined to all but those you changed it to hinder (after all, that's what powergamers do, they powergame).

I commend the DEV's for thier hard work on this new content, but the knee-jerk changes make it unavailable to all but a small minority.

Ok, want a power plant, fine... get in your underwear and bring nothing but Pixie , Syth Steak and Brandy, and RUn, incap, loot, store in droid.. die... clone, pixie Brandy..RUN!!.. ... incap.. stand loot.. save item in droid, run die, clone, escape... repeat til you have power plant..

Rescue mission can be done same way, I did it with 3 naked guys and 30 minutes...

otherones were harder and took a few jedi, 3 CMs (me) , Master Docs for REZ (me) Less wounds that way.. and a assortment of others.. took 45 minutes each... now there are super battle droids at each loot.. lol they dont agro you any worse then before when looting.. lol but to finish the mission, they are no even in the way, thats the funny part..

I think the Devs can and should think about lowering the difficulty of the missionsaccording to the skill levels of the group, just like the mission terminals..

then maybe I would not mind wearing my 1 million dollar armor and wasting buffs to go in there and giving it a fighting chance.

My guildies and I got a ticket andspent about an hour and ahalf traveling to Naboo and buffing for our second try at this unbelievably difficult mission. We ckicked the dialog box to enter, the loading sequence started and we wereinstantly booted out of the mission. We lost our ticket. The member who owned the ticket went back to the outpost in the hopes that he merely had to ask for another one....no such luck. We were going to have to re-do all of the prerequisite missions.

This left an extremely bad impression for all of us who are trying to hold our guild together long enough to play the space expansion.

Oh yea, and the reason the devs added all the Super Battle Droids is simple... To eat up all the Armor so the Economy Runs Faster..... ask the devs, what is the most important thing about the game... the Economy... Keeping the Craters working and makin $... You see the guy in the Picture on this website of the guy Running with RIS Armor on Shooting a Gun SOlo with 3 Droids behind him? LOL NEVER EVER IN 1 BILLON years would ever happen to a REAL player.. No one stupid enough to waste RARE RIS on that ship... lol

After my 10th attempt at trying to find a core i am just shy of buying one cause it has gotten way to stupid to run. SBD in every room, I mean come on. It was a great idea to do something like this but then to make it hard to start off fine, all of a sudden they make it even harder. **edit**!!!!! Well this will be my last run on the cursed vette cause i have had enough of the BS. How many times can i find giggledust, crash n burn. an llc, an fwg or a stun baton. Give me a break!

From TODAY"s Patch Notes....

AI: AI should deathblow more frequently the higher level the enemy is.

So now you won't be able to incap your way through the corvette either anymore. The only way you could do it was to get incapped and hoped they wouldn't db you

Just when ya thought they couldn't make it any harder... they did.

Glad my wife and I finished the Neutral Rescue mission last night together (I had previously tried the Rebel Destroy 4 times solo and the Neutral Rescue once solo and never completed)... we ran from everything pretty much and incapped our way to talking to the prisoner... was the most tense, nerve wracking, exciting experience of my time in the game. Wanted to try the Rebel Rescue next... doesn't look like that will be possible now

Thanks for everything Devs

Well, I would agree that it's annoying that you have to be OVERT for a stupid shirt that doesn't give any mods to your character. On that basis I agree, BUT I don't think that you should be able to wear the shirt as COVERT either. I mean it's like wearing gang colors in someone else's turf and then wondering why the bloods/crips are shooting at you.

Lets hope the devs give the shirt some kind of mod that would make being OVERT, and getting shot at, worth it.

Ok so they ST do DB more now. But I think there were less SBDs. It's hard to tell cause it seems to vary. Three of us went up and still managed to beat it. We got to all the loots escept the armory. So the jury is till out on today's patch. I'm ok with less SBDs and higher chance of DB. As long as the DB isn't instant. You'll need time to get healed. Still 5 SBDs in the droid room.

Cheers,
Sebun
