So Tyrant... how did you become the poor guy who had to bury this... "There is a lot of work left to do in order to have SWG realize its full potential. We want to give you the premier online entertainment experience, and to get there we will have to deliver improvements at an ever-increasing rate. JTL will fundamentally change and extend the gameplay of SWG in some cool ways, but there is plenty of room to add more fun to the main game too."... in his bio?

You shoulda made the long time members of the SWG team "admit" this on thier own.

Please oh please tell me he was involved in Earth and Beyond and has input into JTLS. About 1/2 of my PA jumped to SWG from EnB and miss the loot/crafting being tied together as it was in EnB.

Itoo believe SWG has great potential. For the most part my experience in game has been rewarding. I have enjoyed exploring, crafting (getting a little boring with nothing new to craft), meeting new people, hanging with friends, the atmosphere, and hunting.

My biggest gripes and those of my guild have been:

1. Starport times, but you fixed that

2. Poisons and diseases. You have fixed that, but put the resistance packs in the wrong profession. Corpsmen (medics) give shots and pills like these in the military

3. You got the Genosian Lab right, but the Corvette and Death Watch Bunker just are not fun. with only 2% of the population completing the vette and most probably by using feign death, that is a little sad. The inability to clone and the extreme decay on the vette are the biggest problem. Also add in inability to rebuff, low loot rate, and SBDs. I dont know one person who has enjoyed the bunker. The droids are too excessive and loot drop rate are the two most common problems.

4. Loot drop rates in general. I have killed 300k HAM NPCs and not received anything. Makes no sense. They should hav 100% loot rates. There needs to be more reward.

5. mind pool needs to be able to be healed

6. player cities cost way too much. decorations especially. theaters and hospitals are worthless decorations. if more professions had acces to cantinas and they could be placed anywhere it would be nice to see. Lot requirements make no sense.

7. Jedi are far too visible and game seems to be pushing everyone to be force sensitive or jedi.

8. The FRS needs to be taken out of the GCW.

9. Lag on Dantooine including low rate of random spawns.

10. most new content seems to be loot. Crafters are getting bored. Please introduce new stuff.

11. lost items not being restored. i understand there is the ability to take advantage of this, but more than likely the customer is being honest. I have lost tons of items and the CSRs tell me too bad.

12. Why are ranged profession the most gimped of all combat professions? Star Wars = blasters. Blasters should be top dog. i understand the need for balance, but all the past decisions have pushed more players to melee especially the saber block idea. This ties into the profession balance

13. Double decay on armor on death.

14. Being a master ranger means nothing for the most part. The whole creature harvest market needs a big boost. Demand far exceeds the supply. to be honest gets really boring killing the same creature over and over just to get enough herbivore meat to make a run of adv chem duration mech

15. The GCW needs to be rekindled. Make all factional items craftable. Allow covert or overt factional players to wear factional clothing or armor. Will be awesome to see imps wearing ST armor instead of composite. To me and my guild covert = dont want to play PvP while overt = yes give me more PvP. Players shouldnt be punished for choosing either way. There does need to be some type of reward for PvP... maybe a ranking system or special titles.

Thanks for reading this. I think if you can address most of these the ground game will flourish. While I am excited about the space expansion i want to continue enjoying the ground based game.

  • Feign Death should have a time limit (ie. 2 minute timer). LIke it or not, this special is being abused by a lot of folks.
Nah, Feign Death is good tactics, but yes the timer should be a bit longer, and there should be a roll to see if you fool your attacker

Here's a better idea - don't change feign death at all, just figure out some manner to keep Jedi and bounty hunters from abusing a valid SMUGGLER skill. You know, the smugglers? That class that was released 2 weeks prior to launch with way too little content, have been promised a revamp for 15 months now with no follow through, who have suffered through several nerfs, including one to Feign Death already, and who in the next patch will have to pull their upgrade kits for EACH SLICE manually since we are losing the ability to autopull them, making the time sink for slicing longer? The class that has lost its spice market due to the Chef revamp, and has lost the faction point selling market due to Jedi killing anyone overt, not to mention the dead GCW? Oh, and lets not forget that high ranking Imperials smuggler around the contraband scans better than a master smuggler, and the droid loophole in that?

Remember us? STOP TAKING AWAY WHAT LITTLE WE HAVE.
