Thread: Team Comments – Gordon Walton, Studio Manager
I swear, MMOG development houses swap developers, managers, and directors like roadies amongst hair metal bands.
I mean that in the nicest possible way, mind you.
It's just always amused me to watch as the best and the brightest of the MMOG crop swirl between the various development houses, flitting from project to project and team to team.
Welcome aboard, Tyrant. Does this mean we start getting patented TyrantStyle(tm) answers to all our pressing questions?

Was it my imagination or did he just admit to having stopped playing SWG after a few months because it just wasn't much fun??? Yikes! Someone needs to read the Team Letters before they get posted.
He wasn't part of the team when he was playing it. There are a lot of options for gaming out there, maybe SWG wasn't his cup of tea at the time. The important part of this message isn't that he stopped playing, it's that he is playing now, mind you a couple of professions. Since he decided to quit playing way back when, who better to help in development and address problems in the game than someone who quit because he wasn't having fun?
I just hope he is playing on a "live" server.

Hehe, I personally don't think it reflects poorly of the game. I love the game. I was just surprised that the comment slipped through and onto the boards. Just want to clarify that so my post isn't perceived as being critical of Gordon or the game. Guess its the marketing side of me that made it stand out. I tend to notice stuff like that since I deal with it all the time via my work. -- But I'd like to add my request for a bit more info on what a Studio Manager does. I really like these team letters but this one left me wondering about Gordon's position. Care to share a bit more Gordon? We'd appreciate it.

And thank you for demonstrating why I need a patented answer that is so short and less than pleasing to the ear.
Welcome aboard.
