WRIST-LAUNCHED WEAPONS FOR BH'S


My proposed new weapon certifications for BH (Novice-Master)


- a Wrist-lasso cord launcher- a long, reinforced cable that launches from the wrist, snaring the target in a tight grip temporarily...it does restraint damage, a possible chance to dizzy,and lower the posture of the target, but this effect is temporary, and the damage in minimal. Quick fix...this wrist launcher can be dual-wielded with a weapon in the other hand, allowing for simultaneous snaring and firing by another BH weapon in the other hand (most likely scatter pistol for graphical concerns). The chance-to snare ration of this lasso can increase by modifiers in the Investigation tree, with a high chance to snare and a longer snare time atmaster. Possible states applied: Dizzy, Posture change


- a Wrist-dart launcher- a small dart launches from a wrist mounted shooter, attaching to the target and releasing a poison into the target, weakening it and causing a 'poison' state...this DoT effect is a special piece in the Weaponsmith-crafted wrist shooter that can be experimented and crafter by Combat Medics or Bio-engineers, adding either a mind poison, action poison, or health poison, with potency varying from CM/BE of varying levels. Once again, the same dual-wielding feature as the first wrist-weapon. Possible states applied: Poison (Mind, Action, Health)


- a Wrist-flame thrower- a burst of super-heated gases erupts from a small nozzle on the wrist-mounted weapon, shooting towards the target...it can possibly blind the target temporarily, as well as almost definitely landing a 'fire' state on the target...weaker than a commandos flamethrower, but with added acuracy and speed bonuses along the BH LLC line ( name of this tree would have to be changed to reflect the heavy weapon aspect) Once again, the same dual-wielding aspect as before. Possible states applied: Fire, Blind.


Of course, this would require extensive reworking of graphics, skill trees, and modifiers, but it is doable.


-Other changes i wish to see with BH (being non-BH myself):


-Better defense vs.


-An implementation of humanoid traps (along the Investigation line)


-Another BH-only pistol


-A BH-only carbine.


I'm posting this here and in a few other posts in the BH forum. Take my ideas and run with them!

In the Jedi revamp players should not lose their previous gained professions. I mean thats like throwing away a lifetime of work in 2 seconds. Also on Jedi quests novice Jedi's should be able to use rudimentary Jedi skills to earn xp. I can't wait for the revamp....

Question of intent: Are vehicles intended to be replaced when they become Disabled? There is no way (aside from the autoheal bug) to fix a Disabled vehicle.

hey TH its nice that you all are putting in hard work on new weapons that are 'uber' the quotes are for what i have seen on the DE-10:

limited schet, loot limited, SLOW, no AP, ENERGY damage

now to give some ideas as to how this COULD have been a good weapon since the bbl is a loot restrict give the pistol a unique damage type ie. cold, restraint, KINETIC, bring the speed back into mainline levels for postols not carbines, pitloeers need at least one AP2 weapon this would have been a good weapto do it with in the description it mentions its a hefty weapon (maybe modeled off the 'dirty harry gun' ie 44 mag)


what was needed for wepons wasn't NEW wepons but a BALANCE PASS of existing weapons look at carbines best carbine is the laser get the cert at carbines 3 totally overwealming the need far another carbine (4 certs more to come) we know you can muve certs from one level to another (Republic Blaster)why hasnt this been done for the carbines? you are constantly talking about BALANCE the certs as they are are not adding new weapons doesnt fix the problem only agravates the economy problem. speaking of economy problem im still seeing auctions on ebay.


some thought or more thought on what new weapons should or shouldnt do is needed crafted items need to compete with looted items


after months of grinding to master WS (twice cuz of a programming error) and months as a MWS it has become apparent to me the money is in combat not crafting i am discusted with the way things are going and the LACK of respect people have for the contract between the user and SOE (lack of respect on both sides)

Hey. What's up guys? I've been gone awhile. I got board, Harvest Moon and Pokeman came out... Knights of the Old called my name... so, here we are, 2 months and, hoply soon, 2 undates later... and I'm trying to get back into this game. But while i was a way... I was surfing around different messege boards and, and hanging out at a few game shops talking... shop, i noticed a rather disturbing trend... and i wanted to get the dev's, and others option of this...


Do you guys relized just how BAD a reputation you seem to have? Maybe it's just in this area, (mid west.) but just about anyone i talk to, in a game shop, or on line, when asked what i play... have nothing but bad things to say about Galixies... I've YET to run into ONE person besides me, and my Bro that play this game around here... NOT ONE. Ran into alot of people that have quite... one guy tried to trade in Galazies at an EB, was told he couldn't cause its an MMO... and just told the clerk to pitch it then... and walked off... (i was in line behind him... saw it with my own two eyes.) I asked him why he hated it so much... he just replyed... "it's boaring a sin..."


Now granted, i've been hard on this game and the devs, not becasue i don't like the game, but because i do, and only want to see it get better. And i'll give the devs SOME ceridit for the new quests they've added... it's a step in the right direction... (The combat balance, in my eyes is the make or brake update to me...)


So how are you going to fight such a negitive attatuide twords your game? I can't see anyone I know and talked to buying the SE, EVER. You've lost, and i'll borrow this term for basketball, your street credability...

how do you plan on getting it back?


And when is that blasted combat balance. I'm bassically on hiaitious until it's put in game... i don't feel like playing a game only to have the most basice and fundomental part of it drasticly changed on me... So i'm waiting for the combat balance to hit so i can assess what damage you've done to my toon, and how to fix it.

Yes, Jedi takes 250 skill points therefore must be most rewarding yet it has no single defensive skills not to mention no mitigation at all.

That really depends on person whether to fear you or not, there are many lousy BHs around who has difficulties to take down their mission NPC targets.

I dont see a problem there, because in my opinion no matter who you are if you are at rifleman range you will go down.

Decent fight for whom BH or Jedi? I believe most will say Jedi can do little to BH.

Unlikely you can kill Enraged Bull Rancors with it. Most creatures has low acid defense.

People should get taught some writting skills before they post. As for higher armor piercing, well you have Laser Carbine which is medium AP isnt that enough? As for pistol dont really see that has to happen, it never has to be like this. Also, it's up to you where to spend your rest of skill points, some people use it wisely some dont.

That's because they specialize in rifle and BH can use effectively up to 4 weapons

Exactly same place where Jedi's def vs states is. Yet they dont have a chance to get pistoleer def vs states bonus and BH does.

Dual pistol wielding would be nice but in my opinion this belongs to master pistoleer, since they are specialized in pistols and still end up 10 pistol speed points less than BH.

/agree with 1,2 and 4.


Armor is balanced as it is, if you remove buffs.

#1 More items in houses. I am tired of having no space to put anything in my homes... I wuld say we need 4 times of what we have in all houses and raise the count more for Med houses, then do it 4 times that new item rate. Kinda lame a med house has the same space as a small.



#2 NO 5 MIN SHUTTLE WAITS WITHOUT 5 MINS STARPORT WAITS! No one cares about shuttleports, I havent used them in months, its STARPORTS we want changed. Why must we play this game on this topic and make it seem like starports are going to 5 mins when they arent?

Would be great if we could read our game emails without having to log into the game. I was about to say read and write, but that opens a door to outside spam so probably not a good idea... but reading in-game mail from outside would be so helpful

It would at least be nice to download your in game emails or have saved autometically as a text file so you could look at them out of game. Or add folder options in the email so we can organize them. I keep so many emails around from customers, friends, guild and city related emails, RP plots, etc... All of these I want to keep for reference and memories, but my in game mailbox is getting so full it is frustrating.

The two things I hate about BE cloning are a) storage issues, and b) the ability to easily sort through your pack of 50 samples. It sucks something fierce to have to click/examine every sample in a pack looking for that 1 Giant Dalyrake sample you know you have. So how about this...

Bio-Lab.


This structure created by architects can only hold DNA samples. When it is placed the owner will tell it how many lots to use and it grants 250 x lots DNA storage to that user.It would also allowBEs to easily sort samples similar to the wayplayers can sort items on the bazaar.
