Jedi Revamp:

I think the quest-based concept is a good one. Of course, allowing both systems (holo-grinding and quests) to exist side by side is only fair to those who have invested a lot of effort towards holo-grinding.

I think The quests should require the following before a player can undertake:

1.) 235+ skill points spent.

2.) Mastery of at at least 2 professions

3.) Possession of a holocron

In exchange for the holocron, the Quest NPC sends the player on a quest. This quest will should be chosen by the player, and should be clearly a Combat, Craft, Perform, Retrieve, etc. type quest. Players should be required to undergo a variety of quests, say a total of four, no more than 2 can be identical. Thus Combat, Perfom, Craft, Combat would be acceptable but Combat, Combat, Craft, Craft would not. This allows for the spirit of the current system to be retained (giving a driving force for players to learn professions other than combat...) while allowing for a choice. A friend of mine got his first Holocron at christmas and it said "Master Dancer"...he has no interest in non-combat professions and is now waiting for the quest system. It would be a shame to turn such players away from the game by forcing what they consider "NOT-FUN" professions...

These quests may require a player to "clear" and instanced dungeon (something the Devs have stated they are moving towards), retreive a rare loot drop, create an object of exceptional quality (such as the RIS armor quest), Perform a "concert" with at least 20 Master Dancers/Muscian-types and to an audiance (grouped)of at least 20 (all watching/listening), etc.

Thus, the holocron remains as a viable holocron as it is currently and allows for the quest-based system to remove holocrons from the game as well (a balance issue), gives players greater choice (always a good thing), and makes the prospect of becoming a Jedi no easy task while increasing options.

I have have heard that it is only going to be made for Master Bounty Hunters, or maybe novice like myself. I have been looking at the forums but have only found one thingabout the junk!It wasnt helpful at all.I would like to know when it will be put in the game, and what people will be able to wear it?

err woops, in my previous idea, jedis wouldnt need the 160ap, but i still think that the choice to make the main character the jedi or not should be allowed, and jedi should be able to get side professions, as long as there is a system to keep them from switching to another weapon to defend themselves when tefed, and maybe jedis shouldnt be able to heal with stims if they used a saber in the past x minutes (so just buff, which they do anyway)

give jedis robes that have low defence (30-50 max, you have to give them something...) but add say.... +15% force or w/e

new vehicles, maybe a few that fly maybe.... 20m off the ground or something, and vehicles with turrets on them (give us a taste of space, maybe the fliers you control with the arrows, and for now they cant shoot)

YES, We should have more joinable factions. I want some sort of crimial faction jabba, blacksun, nym, or even the night sisters. I would like to see the bounty hunters guild be a faction, which was very much alive during this time period. rebs and imps do not make up the star wars galaxey, it should be diverse and have many type of poeple not just rebs and imps. that is my biggest complant about the game so far, for the most part the game is GREAT. NEED MORE FACTIONS PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

im so i have been playing SWG for about 3 months ...and i am shocked to realize that i am almost "capped-out" why do we not have any leveling system ? like more points for our HAM? or a way to earn more skill points? ..i dont mean a lot but something like after 5,000,000 total XP you could get 1 point to spend on your HAM or to get 1 more skill point ..after i have my template set up all that i can do is buy new stuff to improve my character .. i want to improve my character over all not with just what i can purchase (who ever dies with the most toys wins ?) i love our gaming system but i dont like the fact that we can cap out please read this and consider it ..think of this after playing SWG for 2 or 3 years most characters will have not changed (will keep the same templat) some small changes here or their but nothing big ....this wouldnt work well long term andwe may begin losing players because they are getting bored with the same player

Here are some ideas on what tools would be useful to players who are organizing roleplaying events:

1. The ability to create objects with more text on them. Currently many of us have stumbled on the idea of using chance cubes as "datacubes" and making the name of the chance cube to be the text of whatever roleplaying item we need (e.g. a chance cube labeled "A holophoto of the Emperor issuing commands about Project Eclipse"). I don't know if this would create large database problems but surely giving us a few lines of text to work with instead of just a single line isn't asking too much. If it really is a problem then maybe we could only have so many of these "lengthy text" objects created at any one time. This could be much like the loot/junk items the developers have in the game. The item has a nice title and then when you do an examine it has a much fuller description.

2. Free NPC roleplaying pets. These could be just like vendors without the ability to sell anything. In order to allow them to provide roleplaying plots maybe they could sell only datacubes (see suggestion 1) or maybe they could be allowed a few lines ofscripted dialogue such as the vendors have now. This ideashould be relatively easy to implement since it's almost the same as the current game mechanic but I don't really see it causing the real merchants any problems. The idea of the droids with the barking module is similar -- though vendor-like NPCs are superior since they are truly static.

3. Free temporary alternate accounts. The reason for this obvious -- it lets someone running a plot line play an NPC without having to give up their original character. There probably multiple ways toactually implement this but here's one.Allow multiplecharacters on the same server butthe second character cannot advanceat all, can have no pets, and can carry only a very limited number of items. I'm sure that there might ways to use this to gain advantage in the game but basically you should be able to nerf the alternate accountso effectively that they have no practical effect on the game. Thusonlypeople running plot lines (GMs) would use them and could use one account multiple times to make NPCs by simply erasing the old one and making a new one.

I hope these ideas are useful to you.

HOUSE CUSTOMIZATION

houses houses houses houses houses! Yes, this has been mentioned many times before, and there are "rumors" that stuff might happen, but i'm gonna take the opportunity to bring it up, AGAIN.

How cool would it be to customize houses? I mean, you have generic houses and planet houses (even though generic and corellian are the same thing). Well, since artisans can custom their clothes and stuff, why can't architects custom the houses? here's a few ideas.

Have the already made templates, but be able to customize the walls and stuff. You know, remove a certain wall, add a stairway somewhere. The exterior walls can bejust a shell, and the architect can piece the inside together.

Or, even more customizable would be to have a set of premade components to make your house. Like, 5 different styles of roofs, 10 different walls, 4 styles of windows, etc. Then, the architect can piece together a completely custom built house that way. Sort of like in The Sims (if you ever played that horrid game).

Another idea would be to be able to paint walls and your house. It gets dull living in concrete walled houses, or sand colored homes. Why not be able to paint them to your liking, just like you can paint your vehicle? Possibly paint each wall to your liking and stuff.

A main issue would be that architects might not visualize what YOU want for a home. So how about being able to make a house schematic and give it to the architect? Like have public schematic terminals where you can virtually build your home to look the way you want it, and then it churns out a schematic (for a fee of course ), and then all you have to do is give it to an architect and they can build it for you.

This is general housing question, but why do Tatooine guild halls only take up 7 lots when the rest take up 9? I mean, they both fit the same amount of items, cost the same for maintenance. Why 7 instead of 9?

I have also noticed lots of items in the game that are not available to us. Just walk around theed and you'll see. We only have access to Style 1 potted plants, and in theed i find style 3. There are also paintings, sculptures, and a variety of other things that are not available to the public. I love paintings, i'm currently trying to collect all the available paintings in game. But it sort of ticks me off that some paintings are on the Starport wall and not in the schematics of artisans Yeah, so when will we be expecting more of these unique paintings, plants, sculptures, and misc items to be available to us?

OK, i'm having a brain seizure. I think i've said enough. Chew on that for a bit, or chew on some Fried Yoda

THE USAVONG (all the people that have read the new order jedi books you'll get it) these guys are from the outer rim and are really evil. there human noids that are shape shifting poison and deases welding A$$holes. i think these guys would be really kewl to run into maybe it will be in another expansions but even just a few npcs poping up now and then would be awsome to run into in the middle of no where just for the **edit** and wow factor or even have them invade a few towns now and then alos being able to duel weild pistols would be the kewlest of kewl or even fencers being able to to duel weild swords. also have creature handlers be able to cross breed pets (example: nuna and a gort) to bring out certain atributes obviosly you would be able to make some freak nuna thing. but some thing like the bio eng class...just scaled down. Another evening ruined and I am getting sick of this.

I was trying to prepare for our guild hunt to the Corvette and was in Kor Vella to talk to the NPC who gives the quest when I was scanned and made overt, this despite the fact that I have removed all spice from my person and have no spliced armor or weapons on me. Since I have zero interest in PvP, this meant I had to log for the evening. The guild hunt preparations will not get done. Tomorrow's guild hunt may not take place unless someone else can do the preliminaries without being made overt. The evening I had hoped to spend enjoying SWG was ruined.

Monday evening we had a guild hunt to the Tusken fort. This meant going through Mos Espa. One of our members was scanned in Mos Espa and made overt. He had to log for the evening to avoid being involved in PvP harrasment, instead of enjoying a guild hunt with the rest of his guild. Where is the fun in this? I thought PvP was supposed to be consensual in this game.

Some people enjoy PvP, but many do not. People who choose to PvP are prepared and practiced in the art. People like me are not. Making players overt who have not chosen that role, exposes them to harassment and ruins their game play.

To be neutral in this game is to be barred from participating in half of the content, so that is not a viable option. Many are philosophically opposed to joining the Imperial faction. I know I am. How many evenings have to be ruined before folks begin to wonder why they are paying to be harrassed or forced to log off from the game to avoid being involved in non-consensual PvP? Take non-consenual PvP out of the Imperial crackdown. This is not the game I was promised.

Dear SWG,

I am a Politician on Starsider and plan on one day becomming a Master Politician. Currently there are no skills associated with the master slot and no perks. I propose that Master Politicians be able to build Capitol Buildings in their cities. These capitol buildings would allow Master Politicians to include Mayors from other cities in an alliance that would result in lower city maintenance costs based on the number of cities that are aligned within a single capitol building. The capitol buildings have always looked nice and this would allow a way for various cities to band together.

Sincerely,

Aurelius Valorum

ALRIGHT! ALRIGHT!

Enough of this moaning about "Will my main become a Jedi..." and "Revamp this..."

You want a concept? I'll give you a concept...

In the Space Expansion release a "throw-away" planet. Don't tell anyone which one it is.

Allow it to populate over 3-4 months.

During those months use the story arcs to have the Empire complete a second Death Star (of varying degrees dependant on the actions of each arc).

Set in on course to the "Throw-Away" planet with a deadline date for the event to happen.

Stage numerous dog fights as the Death Star nears the planet-(the journey to the planet should take 5-7 real time days) and depending on the outcome of the dog fights- i.e. whether someone can get to the Death Stars core and stop it- Have the Death Star destroy the planet.

CRAZY, RIGHT!?

Does everyone who inhabited that planet suffer a permanent death? NO! Of course not.
But they do lose what is left on the planet if they can't move it within the 5-7 days.

If you were on the planet at the time of it's demise then you would choose another planet to be shuttled to after you were miraculously "rescued".

Now THAT is a concept.

Probably couldn't do it 'cause someone would freak or something- or the whine factor might get to be too great. But I say GO FOR IT. That would be the coolest, most talked about event EVER! And damn close to the movies.

Oh well, time to take my pill.

Kinda like penthouses for the servers rich and famous?

Id like to live in a city, it would help bring back the people to the cities

When I started playing SWG I thought that would be possible, since SWG is a RPG I thought many people would like the opportunity to live in the citys from the movies like Mos Eisley,Mos Espa and Theed. It could be done in many different ways, personally I like the idea to have instanced appartments in the city because this would make it possible to almost have an unlimited number of appartments, and if players left the game and hadalot ofmaintenance paid they would nottake up any "space". Also I think that adding shoppingmalls to the big citys where players can have vendors would be nice.
