I try to be reasonable and diplomatic and will try to be here.
I am a post 9 unolcker. I do have a screenie of that mythical message about having my abilities with publish 10.
That said, I see nothing that DIRECTLY states what I am entitled to. I do see where you say that 32 prof grinders get the 6 FS unlocks. I do see where they are in group 1 or whatever.
My question is this. Why does this always happen? Why do you always portray misleading comments and innuendo and make open ended comments that are not the least bit specific?
I was told by two seperate CSR's, even saved teh ticket as proof of the last one, who stated point blank that I will start Publish 10 "as a padawan."
Now, the long awaited day is here, and you spring a 1-3 day wait time on us? Us workign class people who pay your damn salary who cannot get in the game until 6 or 7 or 8 eastern will get teh shaft in your nice little gestapo scheme of old men visits.
I know nothing I say here means one hill of beans to you or even your superiors. But I need to voice something. You HAVE GOT to give specific information and quit treating us like unwanted step children.
How hard would it of been to realease this information LAST WEEK? So expectaction could be adjusted LONG before this "magic" patch? SO many things are good in this game! Why should your complete lack of discipline to see the truth of the fact that you CUSTOMERS deserve information be the reason to ruin it for them, and ultimately, theoretically speaking, for YOU. Enough leave and scale back on your staff is a very REAL possibility.
To summarize my delimna: GoodGame + Terrible support + NO communication of the REAL deals = Frustration enough to CANCEL good game..
Please. Give us unlockers A LITTLE answer....Priority......Something. We deserved what our predecessors got. Full Jedi, day one. We unlocked UNDER THE OLD SYSTEM. And we sacrificed alot of time to PLAY the benefits of that hard work for, in some cases, over a month, for a ALMOST jedi that we MAY be able to START to get in 1-3 more days.
Everytime I think I have a bead on you all, you throw another curveball. And the sad thing is, on strike three, I will be out....and you strike out enough, and you left with an empty ball field and no one to play with.

Here's some feedback - this monkey is tired of jumping through your silly jedi hoops. Find another to control the jedi population like the old pera-death idea....
Its not fair to let some lotto winning players that unlocked after 5 professions 8 months ago and make current players do 10 times as much just to gain the opportunity to grind millions of jedi exp.

THunderheart this is my question I'm in group 5 I beleive. I never did any holocron professiosn and have mastered a total of 5 professions. When I logged on this morning and checked I was glowing but from your first post you did earlier I was lead to believe that I would not get access to the old man for a while sicne I'm near the bottom of the totem pole. I assume when you say 1-3 days you are talking about the peopel taht unlocked aftr patch 9 or are only 1 profession away unlocking.
From my calculations it could be up to 30 weeeks before I get invited since I am in group 5 I figure that cause
Group 0 (peopel who unlocked post 9 or were 1 profession away) 3 weeks 1 cycle of the village and they are done
Group 1 (remaining 1 profession away peopel and people have 2 tree's left to finish) 6 weeks 2 cycles of the village
Group 2 (people who get 3 fs tree's and still need 3 more) 9 weeks 3 cycles of the village
Group 3 ( people who get 2 fs tree's and still need 4 more) 12 weeks 4 cycles of the village
Group 4 (people who get 1 fs tree and still need 5 more) This would be my group I think.
That adds up to 30 weeks I would have to wait and could be even longer if people don't like the option for the FS tree in a certain cycle of the village.
SO currently I'm under the impression that I shouldn't bother waiting in the wilderness for the old man for about 6-8 months

It will take 1-3 days before the old man comes to visit you and give you access to the Village of Aurilia. He will visit you outside of a city, for he cannot risk being seen…

TH - PLEASE ANSWER THE QUESTION ---- If you are 'Glowing' or qualified under the new system, do we have to wait for all the grinders first or do we get our visit within 3 days. We are all waiting for that answer. So what is the deal. Should we even bother playing anymore, or wait 30 weeks for everyone else to go through the system first. What is the deal?

i cut out the parts im not gonna reply to, but i think i might be able to give ya a couple answers (though i dont know anything for 100% certain, ive got a pretty good bead on whats goin on i believe.
the New system is supposed to be a bit mysterious, if everyone knows the exacts, it wouldnt be an adventure. Having unlocked AFTER publish 9 (if i am understanding you correctly) you will be given 6 free skill trees (that which is required to make padawan)
what you need to do is just relax and hang out for a couple days till the old man spawn comes to you (he appears right next to you and speaks to you, youll know its him) he will give you something, you will kill a couple guys, and get into the village
once at the village you will talk to someone who will allow you to unlock a force skill tree and give you all the XP for that tree. train that tree, then rinse & repeat with your 5 other trees.
congrats, you are now a padawan.
thats all you'll have to do. not that hard, just gotta hang a day or so and let the new system do its thing.
as far as not letting people know, if you read the Test Center forum at all its been talked about for some time that the old man spawns would be random and take a little time to appear.

It means you will get a visit in 1-3 days and are automatically qualified to get into the village.

99% of the forums (personal poll) are greatly concerned with the growing numbers of jedi, and without any mechanic in place to remove jedi from the system.
I think you'll find 200k xp loss on death to be a pretty substantial punishment, maybe if people knew how much xp jedi get per kill for PvE, you wouldn't moan so much. I don't have an exact figure, but I hear rancors are worth something like 200xp to a jedi

You know what TH. Let me go one step further and help you guys out by telling the players what they should really do.

If you really want to be a jedi. You have not already unlocked. You did not grind out 30 professions. Then regardless on whether or not you are "glowy" or not. You need to cancel your subscription for 2 months. MAYBE by that point you will be ALLOWED to have a visit from the old man. Until then, regardless of what you accomplish in game, you WILL NOT further your way towards jedi. This current system makes it so that the only way for you to further the end toward jedi is working within the village. What they are trying to quietly say is, since they made it a village on one planet, one single place in the game. There will be more lag there than if you had coronet on all servers running on a 56k line. Therefore they are KEEPING you out of it until they feel like it wont be burdened down on their servers. Which is a roundabout way of saying they are going to milk you for every subscription fee that they can. Unsubscribe until you can, the only thing they understand is when the $$ stops flowing.
