I did my holos and was on my silent since patch 8, a total of 20profs (78 badges).A friend of mine did 1 holo and has a total of 8 profs (50 badges).

I get a 'faint sense of the force' and he gets a 'surge of the force' message when checking.

You want my Feedback TH ?

I know this isn't the feedback you're looking for but I'm really disappointed that I may have to wait 1-3 days to experience the new publish that was already delayed by a week. I've been putting in extra time in the game for the past week to get myself ready for the Village and now it turns out I may have to wait until Friday!

I know the Village is going to be overcrowded but... it really isn't going to be any better in three days either! :/

Yeah, what a nice system this is. Those of us that have unlocked basically have no reason to play the game, since we can make no worthwhile progress on our characters. But we're told we should "go about our business" and the old man will visit. What a great catch-22. I have no reason to play the game until the old man visits, but the old man won't visit unless I play the game.

This was really pretty frustrating to see this morning. 1-3 days? What dictates the 1-3 days? How much play time are we talking? If I log in for 15 mins each day outside of a city will I be guaranteed the old man visits on day 3? A little more detailed info would help a lot. As it stands now it seems like my best bet is to just sit in the wilderness somewhere and hope an old man runs up to me, and heaven forbid I need to go to the bathroom and miss him by chance.

Dude, your an idiot 'glowy' isnt worthless.....you will get your visit in 1-3 days if you are glowy, which is faster than most other people. Yea it sucks we have to wait for those days, but imagine the people that didnt holo grind. I for one think the system is completely fair, good job on the credit part TH....non grinders arent being punished, grinders are being rewarded. I would however like to see some sort of cap or something on jedi because with this new quest system, there are going to be wayyy too many jedi popping up. If you want to keep it realistic to its original storyline there were very few jedi, you couldnt cimply hop on a shuttle and do some quests for it.

Welll, guess this publish has shown me the true light of this games developers. You are rewarding yet again, the AFK macrowers, before you are rewarding true players. Thanks alot folks, you have helped me decide not to continue paying you for this favortisiom to exploiting the system you built, and didnt have the gall to correct.

I will be working on transferring the 2 cities and guild I have worked hard to make and maintain to one of your "grinders" that "deserve" it.

By the way, I do have glow, but it wasnt through macrowing through skills, I have 4 masters that I enjoyed doing, and rest through just playing your game, but now, I see that dosent matter, because I wasnt a HoloHore.

So you created a line for getting jedi..

Do you guys live off the planet since most people despise lines as half of our day is spent in them yet you add them in a video game thats supposed to be entertainment..

Would it have really been so inconvenient to inform players about the 1-3 day wait 24 hours ago TH? Would it have cost you your job to let the people know what you were going to do to them? Did no one on your staff care about the players who looked forward to today with much anticipation and called off from work/school in order to do something they have been working possibly a year for? Heartless. Cruel. Dishonest.

Something to help those of you out.

If you are glow. and the force is with you. That means you are able to see the old man, your badge work is done. He will be there to see you whenever the devs decide to remove the artificial cap on working toward jedi and let the old man come out to talk to you. He will give you a crystal.

After the old man talks to you. Sometime later 2 sith will attack you, they are not very powerful, they will say something about wanting to take the crystal that the old man gave you. You will loot a datapad from these 2 sith, and it will lead you to a sith camp nearby. One of the sith at the camp will drop a datapad with the waypoint to the village on dathomir. Once there you can start the quest to open Force sensitive skill tree's and get your free tree's from the NPC there. *Caution* be sure to train all the skills in a tree once you get your free opener for you hologrinders. Cause once you choose to open a tree, it will give you all the xp you need to max that tree. If you do another without training that one up, you will lose most of that experience. You need 24 boxes of force sensitive skills to qualify for initiate. You are only allowed to quest for 1 branch each phase of the place. So starting from scratch thats at least 18 weeks. Remove 3 weeks per free tree that you get and you have your relative number of time to open jedi. Unless of course they decide to make the hardcap more difficult than it is for the old man.....

If you are curious as to how the response to the /check command effects you in the whole fs thing, here they are..:

Glow > Strong Sense > Surge > Faint > barely > no connection

(taken from jedi_spam.stf string file in publish10.tre)

Note: This relates to how many skill tree's/boxes you will recieve ONCE then old man visits you, not as to when he will, as TH said its random...if anyone has any quarms im sure a dev will gladly back me up on this info

i may be understanding it wrong, but from what i have come to know, the Glow > strong sense, etc is NOT how many unlocks you get but your eligibility for the old man to visit you.

IF you are GLOWING you will get an Old Man Visit in (according to TH) 1-3 days. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO WAIT FOR A GROUP NUMBER. YOU HAVE UNLOCKED THE OLD MAN THROUGH THE NEW SYSTEM!

If you are NOT GLOWING and YOU DO have "Holo-Credit" YOU ARE IN THE GROUP SYSTEM. IF YOU ARE GLOWY OR BECOME GLOWY YOU WILL MOVE OUT OF THE GROUP SYSTEM AND INTO THE NEW SYSTEM.

1. I didnt do all 32, but I did unlock. Any wait for post 9 unlockers is unconscionable.

2. Dont know still waiting.

Sadly that statements speaks volumes about the current state of the game.

I've always been fairly positive about the game too.

First of all...sorry about the double pst :S

With response to the question: "Which 6 skill branches are required to qualify for the Padawan Trials?"; any skill boxes will qualify you for the trials, as long as you spend 24 skill points on force sensative skills you will qualify for jedi initiate (which means you can finally wield a lightsaber, even if it is justa training one ). Once you get initiate you will then qualify for the padawan trials, which involve killing some npc called Melichae if im not mistaken...

close, but not quite right (again from what ive come to understand)

you do need 24 skill boxes but it cant be just ANY 24 skills boxes. it has to be SIX TREES (IEa tree of combat prowess (level 1-4 of a skill)) in order to make padawan. Each tree has 4 boxes, so 6x4=24.

Again to restate it, YOU NEED SIX TREES, not just 24 skill points in force sensitive stuff.

You want feedback TH? So de we!!

Well, here is my feedback...and guess what I want feedback on these questions:

(Situation: You feel an inner glow. The Force is with you. Playing since the beginning as a gimped wookiee who is grateful to have armor after being pwned for a year! I obviously have no clue how many hidden professions I mastered (if any) so how can I now know which group I fall into)

How do you know if you needed to master 5 vs. 8 professions?

If you didn't unlock by X date did you need 8?

If your character was created after X date did you need 8?

Was it something else?

How do you consider that fair and balanced?

How do you think you will continue to earn my money if you keep this up?

The only thing I'm concerned about with this new system is this:

My main character is what he is ... I would essentially have to drop skills that I want and intend to keep, get my robe to get my second slot, then drop Jedi and FS skills and re-"grind" the skills I've already earned... all in order to have a second character to work towards Jedi.

I've also got the same problem. The way I roleplay my main character, he doesn't even believe in the force "hoeky religion... ancient weapons" and all that. He's got a lot of badges but I dont know if he's got the glow yet (I'll find out after work tonight). I'll have to take him through the whole process to Padawan so I can unlock an extra slot, then give up all the Force skills so that I can get back to where I currently am and just roleplay it like it never happened for him (or maybe he can think he was almost brainwashed into joining a cult).

I know that giving up some points and having to reclaim them isn't as had of "work" as the hologrinders went through, so I'm trying not to complain. Maybe it'd be better if when you were visited by the Old Man that it unlocked your extra slot at that point, so you could choose to go through the trials with the character that you wanted to bea Jedi... but the current system isn't that horrible I guess...
