I have to agree that revoking the ability for a player to change his/her own stats is a pretty big downer, especially when you are putting it solely in the hands of a class that was origninally put into the game to ehance the social aspects. It would be nice if a second class, maybe master doctors, would also have this ability. Alternatively, allow players to migrate their ownstats at these stations at the existing rates, with an ID enhancing the rate of migration.



Ancient weapons and hokey religions are no match for a rocket launcher in your backpack.

This functionality has been revoked from the general player base and now requires an Image Designer."


Stupidest crap I have ever heard.... Hopefully this will not survive long enough to make it to the live servers. SOE I hope youreally reconsider this moronic move on your part.

The screenshots on the main board show something called "Player Image Designer Tent". To me that suggests there is a player owned structure. The patch notes make no mention of this and only mention the static tents in the big NPC cities.


Could we get a clarification if there are going to be Player Owned tents?

You won't have to. They will have to opperate out of one of the ID tents, so they will be easy to find.


Far easier to find than a stocked vendor i might add.

Lets be realistic here. I'm a very long term members of the Ahazi community, and literally cant name a single image designer I could reliably go to for stat migration.









I think that's the point of the change. You're not the only one that doesn't know an Image Designer, that's because they didn't have any function that was necessary, or at least highly desirable, to other players in the game. After this change you'll be forced to seek them out. Just because you can't name one, doesn't mean they aren't there.


With this change, you will come to be able to name some; just like you can name doctors, smuggles, and entertainers.


For that matter, this isn't a change that will make you constantly need one. I know I shift my stats far less often than I get my wounds healed, have my weapons sliced, or pretty much any other normal game function that requires me to seek someone out of specific profession.


The moral here is: Don't cry nerf until you've actually tried it.

    had canceled because of the CU. Got talked into re subscribing just days before the NGE was started on Test Center (my home).

    /cancel again and breaking CD's to be sure.

    nice thing about being a online Dj..sony cant cencor what I say about this err..improvement..like they can on these forums.

    ID's only can do Stat Migration. How stupid is this? It is getting hard on servers now with less population base even to find a Doctor to buff you now. Some nights Im looking for hours for a buff. Now it gets introduced that ID can be the only ones to migrate stats.


    Solution: Make it so if I as a player change them it takes 2-3 hours to migrate completely and with ID it takes 10 minutes. Thats all I ned to do is spend more time in a time sink looking for an ID. So now my day goes like this:


    Check all harvestors to make sure Im still harvesting some metals or gas because there is no way to check them unless I go there in person (1 hour depending on shuttle wait times)


    Stand at least 10 minutes at one shuttle I just missed


    Look for ID online to migrate stats. Stand in line at ID tent for migration. Say another hour lost.


    Go find a doctor to bufff. Pray I find one at all. If I find one there is a line (good thing is that my stats will be migrated by then). Stand in line again for buff. Lost time another hour!


    Miss shuttle (8 minutes)


    Finally get to Geno Cave, Corvette or some other GREAT Spawn. 30 Minutes.


    Oh look its midnight now. Time for bed. No time to do spawn or event asthat takes 1-2 hours as I have a real job to go to tomorrow. Whew that was a great night of playing!


    Thanks for the ban on playing this game for fun! I forgot to add in stuff like get my speeder fixed in my time schedule.

    Please, don't try and give this to the master doctors. We are already overworked as it is and don't need more to do. I think this will be good for the ID profession, but a 10 minute stat migration is too slow for anyone to just stand around and wait for. Make it 5 minutes or less.You give an ID the ability to start the migration and send the customer on his way while he waits for his stats to migrate in 10 minutes while he is shopping and such.

    For those that don't like the Stat migration thing... how often do you Stat Migrate? I've only done it twice since the game went Live and I hated the fact that it took days to get it to where I wanted. Now that the ability to have it done in 10 minutes has been added I don't have any reason to avoid it like the plague.
