That was the exact thing I thought when I read it.

All of them were turned away from official Jedi training for various reasons: political ramifications, age, some did not display the qualities of a Jedi knight, and other personal reasons.

Hey, does this mean that 95% of the current 'Jedi' will be turned into just FS players? Cause this describes most of the 'Jedi Knights' already!

•Do you like the idea of the Village of Aurilia?
•Do you like the idea of adding a quest journal?

Yes and yes. And I, too, like the idea of the village being instanced.

Also keep in mind force sensitivities need to be something you can Actively acquire, seeing to the bonus's they will add having it limited to certian players gives them an unfair advantage over players who have not been "Lucky" enough to have earned the ability to do them.

For Example to set this in.

A Force Sensitive crafter has an unfair advantage over a non force sensitive crafter, and the non force sensitive crafter has no way of competing with a force sensitive crafter.

And getting to that level of competion won't be a matter of time or skill but dumb luck.

Still the skills should get harder to aquire as you progress, and going from force sensitive to Jedi should be a much larger hassle and take much moreTime or Luck.

I agree here with ZelousShadow. First off, I love both the Village and the Quest Journal system. (nice)

What ZelousShadow says here is true you have to allow everyone have a chance to be aware of their FS. It should be something everyone can achieve with some work. Otherwise you give the Crafter, PvE'er and PvP'er with FS ability the advantage over the others.

Like many have said we know this Timeline had many Force Sensetive being. What should be difficult should be the development from FS to Jedi.

Jedi Robes
Long awaited are the Jedi robes! Gone will be the days of Jedi running about in armor. The Jedi robe will provide a hidden toughness value that will protect the Jedi, similar to armor, but providing more of a Jedi feel. -TH Jedi archive II

There is one way to solve the FS unlocking / difficulty / path issue.

Make other professions a worthy alternative to Jedi.

If you do this, you can make the path as open or closed as you want, and you won't have to worry about making it not too difficult or too easy. Just make it long enough to deter all but the most dedicated gamers. Does this put Jedi as a "powergamer only" profession? Yes. It should be. And non-powergamers wouldn't care about this if the alternatives were just as exciting.

Okay first off, I rarely post although I've been around from the very first.

Which leads to secondly...wow. So much "wow" that I feel I have to comment on this.

Most definitely this is a good thing, if you guys can start rolling on this type of content I think you could really make a name for yourselves.

I like it! So, to answer the questions, Yes and Yes.

I had a Force sensitive character, with 23 and a half boxes ground out.
I had a master creature handler.
I had a high lvl crafter character.
I had a Bounty Hunter that I hunted PC Jedi with.

My game is dead.

Not really. The notion that a village (read 50 or so)of FS people can exist in a universe where the Emperor and Yoda (to name two) can sense disturbances in the Force from light-years away is unreasonable at best.

From a gameplay perspective, this "remote village" will soon become the highest concentration of players per area in the game. The FS quests are the only new content and thus even people not interested in Jedi will be doing them.

I realise that if you are announcing it that it's said and done that this will be the way it is, but I hope that the majority of the system does not have these concentrations of players.

Do you like the idea of adding a quest journal?

Yes, it's probably a good idea. I see a vestige of WoW here.

Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the peacemakers for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country. - Hermann Goering

Well...I just hope this new method is not so easy that every single player becomes a Jedi.

Sorry, but everyone could have become a Jedi the old way. It was tedious, not hard. Besides, by your sig, I see you already have a Jedi character, so why should you be so concerned with how to get one now?

My only question and great fear is, will my 20 profs that i mastered pre-village count towards anything? If i was one prof from unlocking am i going to be ahead of the guy who has not done any of the holocron profs?

I like the idea of the journal and village...

I hate the fact that Devs continue to ignore the majority by saying this will be mysterious... when 53%+ of the votes dont want it that way... they had enough "mystery" with those darn holocrons being "silent".
