I really like the concept so far and the idea of having a journal. I think it will be a cool tool to look back on and add some history to my character.
The issues I have is this mystery you speak of. I very much would like to know how to get started toward the path of theForce Sensitivity. I think then, as players, we can have the decision to pursue it or not. With the CB being pushed back, PvP will still be suffering, and I (and members of my guild) would like to explore Force Sensitivity as soon as possible. IThe poll indicates that players want to know how to get started. I am not asking reveal everything, but giving us directions to get started would be a step in the right direction.
Really good stuff so far though..I love the concept

This is a AWESOME idea, but there are some problems with it.
Spammers in the city, lack of role-playing feel because there is no doubt people will just run around there saying things to piss people off, ect. This needs to be a place like the Corellian Corvette, where each person has their own place, even though that will probably take HUGE server space for everyone, it's the only way to keep the "Force Sensivity" feel without all the retards ruining the experience for everyone.
Had to kill taht font size...just because its larger doesnt make it worth it. The corvette could be isntanced because there were few people doing it at any given point. The number of people trying to get to this village will be quite large at first. And, the corvette was the kind of one shot deal that instanced is good for. This village is a place we have to keep going back to. Finally if someone is tehre spamming junk then just /addignore them and go along your way..if it gets really bad report them and smile at the thought of them being banned.
As for the overall idea...sounds really awesome Th. The missions could be destroy, or delivery or even crafting missions. All the type of missions we have available to us now. But other missions where you must actually figure some stuff out, or have multiple parts would be great.

- "Do you like the idea of the Village of Aurilia?"
Not really, no.
That said, I don't have a better idea based on the number of players that will likely be wanting to persue Force Sensitivity. My main issue with it is I don't buy the story of this place being hidden and not of interest to the Empire -- it doesn't seem to fly.
- "Do you like the idea of adding a quest journal?"
Yes, definitely.
It isn't quite clear how this will work and what will by "mysterious" and what information will be given (I'm assuming this is probably still being worked out), but a tool to keep track of it all where you can review it all in one place will be good.
I recommend against a system of complete mystery as that is what drives grinding. As we saw with Holocrons, the "silent" Holocron made players just grind through every profession until they unlocked. A completely mysterious set of requirements will result in players grinding through every Theme Park, travelling to every planet, etc. in a manner that just plain isn't fun. I love the idea of some mystery where the player is given a hint yet not the exact recipe for success. Mystery drives an immersive and fun story, but without leads to investigate people will get frustrated and give up. You need to find a way to keep people hooked and contiue to try.

The whole idea sounds good but for a couple of things...
1) "The path to Force Sensitivity has underlying mechanics, but essentially it is to just play the game. It is definitely achievable, but mysterious and unknown."
Again, what about the people who began a known method to gaining their Jedi but did not complete it? Now they have to start all over trying to discover some new "mysterious" method? I don't believe this to be very fair. Along with this, what about people who would have liked to play a Jedi but did not want to ruin their Main character with holo-grinding? They've been "playing the game" for up to a year. Does anything they've done before Publish 10 count at all? Again, not fair if it doesn't.
2) As some have said before me, there is no mention of the second character slot. Again, for those who were unwilling to ruin their Main character with holo-grinding, they also do not want to change them by having to become Force Sensitive and would like their second character to become the Jedi character, like it had been before. Can we at least have a choice of which character becomes FS?

It's going to be located on Endor huh.
Big trees = Endor
Green = Endor
Life = Endor
Uninhabited = Endor
Outer Rim = Endor
Where should we Jedi hunt if everyone's going to be on Endor?!
Please tell me Publish 10.1 features a new planet. Like Kashyyyk or ... Tanaab?

I like the sound of this very much, TH, though I agree with those that post in hoping that some mechanism will be in place to prevent the type of lag- and spam-fest that occurs outside of every major starport. The quest journal sounds like an especially good idea. The journal implemented in Dark Age of Camelot made completing quests much easier since each step, and its accompanying narrative, was spelled out.
Nice job.

Sounds AWESOME!!!
Instancing would be a great idea, if it doesn't cause too much server strain. Maybe instancing several little clusters, so there's only a max of 20 people or so per villiage, so it's not overpopulated? If that's feasible.

i love the sound but here what about this.. Instead of them choosing to get padawan they have to have a knight (the player knights) choose to take them on as their aprentice. that way the whose FRS for the light side can be abolished and replace it with the aprentiship points or soforth.. or maybe some different way but revolving the master and the padawan. whatcha guys think? /sign if you like the idea.

Learning from the Holocron grind:
Make sure the CSRs do not give outinformation to players that socially engineer them.

I like the idea of except for 2 things.
1. "It may not be long before you are visited by a mysterious stranger" sounds like it's random and we have no contol over this. Doesn't seem very fair to me.
2. Sounds like there is no room for an Imperial to become FS under this scenario. Do you just want more rebels than there are already?
