How about Giving us a Server that does not have the Jedi system and never will and none of those uber D&D Magic Items? Where crafters make everything and there is a GCW.
A place that playingdoes not require 90% armor and super Mind killing weapons, a place were combat professions are an equal match and player skill wins the battle.
After Publish 10, "Trials of the Jedi", a player's Main Slot will become Force Sensitive. At this point, a second character slot will open up. You may choose to develop your main character as a Jedi Knight or you may use your second character slot to develop as a Jedi Knight (thus being able to leave your main character in tact), but you will have to complete the quests from the beginning with the second character."
- Open my FS slot.
- See a message that says I opened my FS slot.
- Hear the music thataccompanies my FS slot opening.
- Logout and try to create a new FS character and see the FS character creation screen.
- Use my new FS char anonymously as I see fit.
- Continue to use my main as any profession I want to be and enjoy the business relationships that I have developed over time.
The above is what we are losing. This may seem petty, but these are the things we have worked for; as they are; not enhanced, not changed, exactly the same as everyone else that has unlocked. For those of us that have played from beta, as well as others, this is not what we want.
I have mastered 17 professions and thought that I could easily master a good amount more by Pub 10 in July. But today I read that between 9&10 Jedi unlock is blocked. This was my last hope of making it before pub 10.
I'm not sure if this is coming through, but those that are grinding and have more than half done may not want to stop. I know I dont. I want to unlock on this side of 10 and keep my main and use my 2nd as FS Jedi.
Briefly, lets talk about pub 10 and the Main as FS. For those that wanted a different char for Jedi since the game began, in other words, that was their plan all along based on the rules of the game at the time, they (me too) now have to change that plan and make their main, FS Jedi.
And what really has me concerned is that the alternative is much worse. Re-grind through FS quests to make 2nd char FS. You are now basically doubling your subscription base due to the fact thatthough the holo-grind was long, this will be longer according to official pub release notes.
My request is that at least for players that have mastered more than half of their profs, or, for all players, DO NOT block Prof grinding unlocks until after 10. This should be the minimum.
Sincerely,

Say a player has an account on live with his 2 slots, a main, and a jedi
When Publish 9 hits live, our Jedi will still be intact, and still be Jedi, while our main will now be force sensitive, and be at a padawan level, without sacrificing our current professions or completing any further quests?
You already have a Jedi, so what happens is you will need to select skill for your new Jedi and thats it.The FS and padawn stuff is for players who have not yet unlocked their slot.

ThanksI've still got goosebumps from remember the first time I saw that battle between Ben and Darth in the Death Star...
Shra wrote:Just to be clear can someone answer this little question for me..
If one already has an existing jedi, will that jedi become a padawan automatically or will they still have to go through the force sensitive trees therefore not having the use of a lightsaber after the revamp?
Please excuse me if this is listed somewhere, but I was unable to find a definitive answer. Its all based on how developed your Jedi is. If you have an existing Jedi, then what you will do is select the boxes you want. Because you're a Jedi, you will be choosing Jedi skills, not Force Sensetive skills...
Nono_LO wrote:Thanks so much TH and very good job.A point af clarification if possible.I like the fact that my Jedi xp stored will be kept in the process of transition. But for the Xp used (Aka boxes purchases), I got credited by the number of boxes or the Jedi xp that it has cost ?If it is the number of boxes, we can already say it is a great gift you give to player and I would bless you until the end of time for that toThats the way we want it to work, but we have to do the code and Im not making any statements on that until the work is actually done...

One more question, it sounds like you are allowing multiple jedi per account. Is this limited to one server or could you have a jedi on two different servers if you did the quests on both?
Any character account you have may have both slots, though that is a lot of work...
That last part really pisses me off...
You start by saying: "Hey don't freak out about having to destroy your main...if you want to keep your main character you just do the jedi quests twice so your second character becomes FS...no big deal...."
Then you say "you won't want to grind jedi on both of your characters because that will be a lot of work."
Ok, so your only solution to preventing main-character-destruction upon gaining force sensitivity is to make us grind jedi on a different character, thereby doing the quests twice, in an amount of grinding that you, yourself admit is more than any reasonable player would want to do?
You know TH, I love this game, but you are pushing me dangerously close to packing it up and moving on. I can't believe that after players complained about the monotonous amount of grinding and character destruction that you had to endure to get jedi, you replace it with a new system that forces either character destruction or a monotonous amount of grinding.
Why is it that you guys just can't seem to get this simple concept after months of feed back from players? Hell the formus are now flooded with people BEGGING to not have their mains as jedi, and you still can't seem to hear them, understand, do anything about it, or say anything relevant to alleviate their fears.
Are you even telling the devs that players WANT separate jedi characters so they don't have to destroy their mains?
Couldn't you suggest that players be given a choice of which character is FS at the end of the jedi quests? Just a simple menu?
I just don't understand why a unison of players concerns is getting ignored...

Sorry, but no. What you would have to do is open up your second slot, choose the race you want and go through the quests again...
GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR..... *Veins pop out in forehead*
I think it'd be great to know what your 4 holo profs are and what your silents were.

The script that had that info will be on your character, butgetting that info would not really be feasible. Its a chewing gum thing. If we did it for one person, then we'd have to do it for everyone and then the next thing you know, everyone would want to know...
(I want to know too =P)
I'll try to answer the rest this weeknd. If not, then Monday.
Have a great weekend

I think there should be some way to convert your main's race if you make it to jedi, maybe only if you get it by pub 10 or something. Also if we can't do that with our main then how long (game time wise) would it take to create the second slot into a jedi?
Another solution could be to make it where you choose to make your main a jedi and have a reg second char or a jedi second char and set your main back to zero on the jedi quest path.
Any possibility of this in the future?
Thanks
Sorry, but no. What you would have to do is open up your second slot, choose the race you want and go through the quests again...
Not the answer I was kinda hoping for but thanks for the response.
If someone did choose to do this how long do you think it would be to unlock again? Or since its a new char any other new player that joins the game for that matter... 100 game play hours? 1000? I know it all depends on the player and what all they do but I'm guessing you devs have some kind of guesstimate on how long you want these quest to take the average player to become a jedi.
Thanks again for answering my two previous questions!!!
