Here is my 2 credits.

I dont mind NPC's useing specials and changeing weapons, in fact i think this is pretty cool.

But if NPC's are going to have this ability they should have to conform to the SAME combat rules as we do.

That means:

1: they need tohave ham cost on useing specials (one person has reported this happening with meatlumps but has not ben confirmed, and knowone else has reported seeing it with any other npc's)

2: Specials, this is a two part issue.

A:They must be restricted to useing a special abilitysspicific to the weapon they have armed. ( there are reports of nightsisters useing saber throw with power hammers and gdafii sticks, and other NPC's useing rifle specials with pistols. If we cant do it then they shouldnt be able to do it.)

B: The specials should scale based on NPC's creature level. ( what this means is i think it's BS thatmeatlumps and ragtag loons and otherLOW level NPC's are useing master level attacks.I cantbelive that every NPC in the game is a master of an elite combat profession. If they are low level npc then they should use low level specials like those in the basic brawler/marksman tree, mid level npc's should use specials equal to Master Brawler/Marksman and into the first couple skill boxes of an elite profession, and of course the high level npc's would use the master level specials.)

3. With the exception of very high level NPC's, NPC's should be equiped with pretty much the same type of weapons as players,i.e similer min and max damage to regular player crafted weapons.(according to some of the information coming from reversingthe damage modifiers formula to getthe base weapon damage used in an attack it looks like we have quite a few mid and low level npc's running around with what would be considered "Exceptional" or even "Legendary" type weapons. Now I dont mind this as long as i get the weapon as a loot drop if i manage to kill them, but since i dont then these high level weapons should be restricted to the very high level npc's

I find it amusing people are whining about this "Poor me I can't solo-farm large groups of NS anymore. Cry cry cry." Please, be realistic. These are among the hardest NPC's in the game. Of course you'll die if you charge in solo. It's a good thing. Things are back in order. Mind you I personally believe that some of the extreme end stuff will need balancing (i.e DWB, corvette etc) now that specials are back. To a degree I think these places are if not impossible, very close to now.

If they nerf weapons, armor and buffs (I see no reason to do this other than for PvP) without rebalancing some of the upper end content, it will be impossible.

Anyhow, NPC specials == great addition (Except I agree that a rifle special shouldn't be used for pistols and so on - that's kinda silly).

Oh one more thing - to those who complain about NPC's not having weapon switching delays: HAHAHAHA. Get real. Gesh. Next you'll demand that NPC's buy their weapon and armor from player crafters. Get over it already, we're tired of listening to your whining. Really.

WAY TO MAKE THE GAME IMPOSSIBLE

WAY TO MAKE THE GAME SUCK

EVERYTHING THAT WAS ONCE SOLOABLE AND FUN YOU **edit**ED OVER

I HOPE THIS GAME SINKS BECAUSE YOU GUYS WANT EVERYTHING TO BE IMPOSSIBLE

QUIT BABYING THE JEDI'S AND KEEP THE GAME FUN FOR THOSE OF US WHO LIKE TO SOLO.

ONE HIT KILL FROM A NIGHTSISTER WITH FULL ARMOR

WHEN i USE TO BE ABLE TO SOLO 20....BE REASONABLE

THE DEATHWATCH WAS HARD ENOUGH WITH 2 FULL GROUPS AND YOU **edit** IT UP EVEN MORE SO ITS TOTALLY NOT POSSIBLE.

-Diabolus Spawn

Be reasonable???? How about you be reasonable... why the hell should you be able to solo 20 npc's who have mastared a corrupt usage of the Force. Characters that later on Luke, as a Jedi Knight, has trouble with.

If you want something easy to kill... go play with the metlumps.

It's been so long since I've been choked by a Nightsister. I just don't know what to do.

Can Jedi still clear TEF by logging out then back in?

Could before - can't now.

I think our current problems with TEFs have to do with server boundries. Purely a guess.

The NPC changes should not have been made before the Combat Revamp. As things stand, all it did was hurt the ranged soloists while doing relatively little to the melee solists. Now us ranged people have trouble with Janta missions while melee people laugh at us and continue to blow through them as if they were lesser womp rats. Unacceptable.

As far as the Loot Kit drops...after 20 Janta missions I still hadn't seen a single drop. In fact, loot in TOTAL has been total crap since the patch. 1 combat staff, 2 knives, and ONE Janta hide (which I can't use). Again, unacceptable.

More and more lately this game has had a feeling of "work" more than of "fun".

I'd leave constructive feedback, and post on some bugs I've found, but Haden Blackman has dismissed me as a member of the "raving minority who doesn't play the game." Untill I recieve an apology, you can forget about feedback.

I'm a paying customer with seven accounts, quite reasonable in my criticisms and praise, and a mature player and person.

No one, especially paying customers, deserve the contempt and dismissal Blackman demonstrated. As a representative of your company and endeavors, I take his responseas SOE and Lucas Arts view towards the customer base who posts on the forums.

there are some parts of the NPC's using weaponry and such I like and others I do not. The main part where I am disheartened is the battle droids using melee weaponry and such. I went with my guild to the deathwatch bunker and we had a good group but we were slaughted cause the battle droids 2 which were swordsman attack our tanks mind. Our group got slaughtered and only me and the swordsman tank were able to make it out alive. Find it cool that they use long ranged weaponry but the whole swordsman bleeding for 435 to 501 health tick thing was a bit extreme for me.

I was running standard, level 25 faction missions today and I can say that they were far more interesting than the ones I ran last time. Storm troopers would switch from their blasters to stun batons, medics to pikes, I saw specials animations used against me, it was actually thrilling to see them do this! The novelty will no doubt wear off, but I think this will add far more volume to the combat experience and indeed seem a little more involving in the long run. Towards the end of my run I ended up fighting a TKA storm trooper and he was using specials on me too, it was all good (and for those concerned about weapons change timer, I don't know if they take the same time, but there was deffinitely a time between them changing weapons and attacking me.

Thank you for putting this back ingame!

I also picked up 4 pieces of loot for the loot kits.. unfortunately they were all for different kits, none of which I have, but that's 4 more than I've looted before.. ever. This is the first time in ages I've been very up beat and thrilled with a publish (ironic that this is merely a mini publish). Keep this sort of stuff coming please!

I like all of it, except for the spawn rate change. The squill cave was a good place to go and level. Allmost no loot, yet pure no wait fun, killing stuff. There isnt enugh of these places around. Caves that are very hard like geo / dwb are no fun unless you have a large group and re well prepared. In short I would like to see a few places that have tons of medium level mobs (like squill) that spawn at a fast rate.
