I picked up the Blue Rug kit from a junk dealer in Coronet.

I haven't killed a lot of lootable mobs since then(maybe 40-50), but I've already found 3 pieces to the glass table kit.

Really cool idea btw!

Like the idea. Drop rate seems a bit low though. Maybe it has something to do with all of those cries of alderaan disks flooding the loot table?

P.S. get rid of those useless disks already. They're not even worth the credits to combine them all and turn them in. They're just a nuisance and waste of data space.

This is a cool idea, but the loot drop rates are too low to keep my attention. It's day three and I haven't found a piece yet. I need to find at least one piece a day to keep my attention. Until the loot drops are increased for the components, I'm gonna stop trying. There's more fun ways to spend my time in-game.

I really think after people have collected these loot kits and entered all the loot. They should take these items to an Architect. He can then customize that item with the specific text the owner requests.

This helps the Architects with another small source of renewable income.

(Architects can make all types of furniture anyway, why not craft with the loot kits)

Got the kit.

Spent a few hours cleaning the streets of Dearic.

Haven't been able to find any parts yet.

Great idea, but out of1000 NPCs (Roughly, but I killed 935 NPCs) I got 1 piece of loot that wasnt even part of my kit, I think the drop rate should be increased to maybe 1:500 NPCs.

By the way, PLEASE clear the faction disks. It is soooo very annoying to loot some mob open your inventory and see yet another Rebel disk 1/3.

I really like the idea and just wish i could get more components. I killed 1000 NPC's outside Narmle and only got 1 gong part. I then killed 1000 meatlumps outside doaba and got two identical components for the naboo statue. I figure at this rate I will have mastered every combat prof before getting my gong put together. maybe i'm just unlucky i'm not sure.

Love this idea! Great job Devs!

I will have to agree the drop rate needs to go up. It was easyer to do the hermit quest. For the rewards for these kits the drop rate is too low. Now if the rewards was something along the line of the hermit quest then I would understand the low drop rate.

I have not tried the Loot Kits yet because the reward is way too low. It is nice to see SOE trying to add content to the game, but let's up the reward a bit. In my opinion, 10k is more realistic.

Ten thousand? We could almost buy our own ship for that!

Butwho's gonna fly it,kid! You?

You bet I could. I'm not such a bad pilot myself! We don't have to sit here and listen...

lol. I am not sure what your profession is, but on Bloodfin making 100k-200k a day doing missions is not that difficult. 1k for days worth of work, just seems a bit crazy. I understand the collectible issue and that has nothing to do with the reward. If you are new, they try doing delivery missions and your reward per day will be far greater then using the loot kits. I still stand on my original post that the reward is just too low. You cant even buy a ticket to leave the planet for under 1k? lol. Just my opinion.

Thunderheart the junk dealers and their schematics was/is a fabulous addition to this game. Kudos to you and your for a job well done.

"Fabulous addition"? It's a bloody timesink thrown in to distract everyone from the fact that THIS PUBLISH SUCKS.

TEN parts required, and you can only work on one of the things at a time? Are they mad? Collecting the discs for the "monthly" story arc sucked ass, and there were only two sets of four discs. These things have five sets of ten, and the drop rate seems even worse than the act 1 discs. I am slightly interested in seeing whatthis stufflooks like, but not enough so to motivate me to afk combat macro thugs for weeks on end to get the parts.

How about actually fixing the game instead of throwing in useless quests designed to retain subscribers by making them collect loot trash for a month?

  • Were you able to locate the Junk dealer in the main guild hall?

  • Have you tried to complete a loot kit?

Yes, I was able to locate the junk dealer.

No, I haven't tried, because - well, I have killed numerous npc's and have not recieved a single loot drop needed for these loot kits.

I think this is a great idea and all, letting the loot drops be something we can turn into something cool, but until you're willing to get rid of the Imperial and Rebel plans/orders (that are no good, unless you count the 1k in credits and no FP that you get by collecting the set and combining them), the lousy weapons (they're crap, no one uses them, I think), then the loot drop table isn't going to drop this stuff in any needed quantities.

Also, you guys apparently haven't put any REAL value on these things, as you can trade them to the junk dealers for 1k in credits. So since that's the case, why are the loot drops for these look kits so damn RARE?
