All I got to say is Congrats to the Fan Fest folks who get first shot at Beta. This is good news for us Vets too cause we're that much closer to Beta than we were just a week ago.

First of all, while admittedly there was cost involved, it certainly didn't cost $1200 to go to Fan Fest.Whoever came up with thatfigure is grossly exaggerating unless they're figuring from clear over in Europe or something.I came from the other side of the country, and I spent roughly $400 all total including the registration fee. Secondly, you're also exagerrating the numbers on who paid but didn't attend....Ronda said after the fact that most people who registered did actually attend in person I believe. And thirdly, long term Veterans will be in beta. In fact I'd almost be willing to wager that everyone who has been here since day one and (caveat) hasn't done something to get themselves banned either in game or on the forums will be in beta. If you choose to believe vets aren't appreciated, that's your perogative, but from my experience both in beta and in the past year+ in addition to the experience of Fan Fest, it's the veteran/familiar faces that they pay the most attention to, so long as they offer constructive feedback and don't take every opportunity to complain about them and/or every little thing they don't like.

Go ahead, for all the good it'll do, keep glossing over and stereotypingthe Fan Fest crew all these different shades of black, a bunch of 13 year olds or a bunch of people who just paid to get into beta or a bunch of people who haven't been around as long as you, whatever it is you need to come up with to justify and rationalize your need to complain, but I'm telling you, for the most part you're wrong. The majority of people who went weren't kids under 18, they were long time veteran players who have been playing just as long as you have and care just as much about the game as you do. When you do get into beta though, what are you going to have to complain over being shafted about then I wonder?

This isn't true, during the beta for SWG (even the very first 100) were allowed to say if they got in or not or when, what they aren't allowed to do is discuss what they see in game.

Fan Fest cost a poster $400 to go. So let me look at this carefully... I spent close to $300 just on this game alone. It's about 14 months now right? I beta tested the ground game (keep in mind you payed for the shipping costs for the beta CDs for the ground game. It was only $6, but add it to the other expenditures on this game and that $6 isn't insignificant) and I bought their collector's edition (shudder). Then I paid 14.99/mo to essentially play beta 4.

To be able to beta test an expansion I'd have to increase my spending to go over $1000? Not economical for me. I, and many others, don't have that kind of cash to throw around.

I guess I could have gone to Fan Fest too if I didn't want to pay for school, food, a roof over my head, and still keep a job.

The veterans of this game are being slighted here. Veterans don't ask to be guaranteed slots, but they more than deserve to be considered first before anyone else. These people are your money makers. Without them you're sunk. If they can sit through a slew of bugs and incomplete everything for over a year without cancelling once...bah I'm tired.

Hey Bmorris69 remember Starting this Thread "Was it just me or was the fan fest borriiing??!! "

You sure deserve to get into Beta dont you? Talk about a hypocrite. Your one of those who spent 90 dollars to get the beta invite and didnt give 2 **edit**s less about Fan Fest or the Community. Glad you thought fan fest was so boring maybe next time you can just pay for someone else to go
