Yeah....definitely beefed it up but it's still doable. Successfully completed it 4 times since the change. It's definitely better now to take one person with you to draw the fire.


Since they upped the difficulty of it though they should also up the powerplant rate. 4 successful runs and 1 powerplant and as has already been said the rest of the loot is still utter garbage.

The devs don't read this stuff, but more imporantly, it's obvious that they do not play the game. This project is run from spreadsheets, in classic Harvard MBA **edit** fashion. The developers clearly have NO experience with gameplay, and decisions on how 'hard' something is is based on how many deaths of NPCs or critters or SBDs are recorded. Too many deaths? Up the HAM and damage dealing of hte mob.


I thought the Corvette was supposed to be "instanced" in both the group having a 'vette all to itself AND the difficulty level of the 'vette keyed to the combat strength of the group taking it on. Clearly this is not the case; I can understand why, what with clever players "adjusting" the difficulty by equipping/unequipping weapons, the way you deal with a mission terminal.


So, if too many SBD or rebel or stormie deaths take place on the 'vette, the devs just crank up the HAM-o-meter on the mobs to make the rock more difficult to hammer. It's the way it is with this game, and they've been doing it this way conciously since pub 5 when they buffed up krayts, kimos, and peko peko albatrosses because too many of these high end mobs were dying in their spreadsheets.

I raised a CSR ticket, they replied saying that it was as designed, the difficulty had been increased because people were complaining it was too easy

I dont recall any posts here in the forums where people complained it was too easy...we all saw the posts that said they could solo the Corvette in 20 min..10 mins..whatever...but I dont think those were complaints..more like bragging


Personally the Corvette was as hard as u wanted to make it..destroy to easy?..do the assassin...assassin too easy...go kill the SDs. As it *was* I thought it could be scaled to personal desires and difficulty


If the Devs were smart...they would have left the covette as it was..but then add a high risk/reward for killing the rear-admirals...or killing all the SDs..but as it was and now definately as it is now..its risk/reward is totally off

Well it is the weekend. So even if they were reading this stuff. I hope the are relaxing and enjoying time with their friends and family. But 9AM tomorrow! That's a different story! They better get cranking!

Is it just me, or since the latest publish, did the CC stop giving out FP? No one in my group got any when we killed troopers.



Also, IMO, it's too freaking hard. Super Battledroids that incap a fully buffed person in armor in one shot is just plain rediculous. It seems like an eternity to kill one of the Black Hole Troopers.

Yes. The Corvette is intended to be "elder content" and meant to be very very hard. Even still, there were some very resourceful players who managed to go through the vette solo, so we had to add some Super Battle droids in key spots...




So there you have it. the "new" corvette is here to stay.

Elder content my backside. I thought all the elders left? What about content for a group of ten organized people with 80% energy composite, shield generators, a squad leader, multiple doctors, melee tanks, ranged weapons, Creatures, and of course R4 Droids? If that's not elder I'm not sure what is.

Ohhhh I get it. Elder as in the dissillusioned player who sees no point in fighting the system, so will just go around it?

Well so long to the former and hello to the later. I'm gonna use my ticket tonight and solo it. I'll need to drop my armor off at my house and a way I go. I'll let you all know how it goes.

After my team of several (4+) TKMs,Master Swordsman, couple commandos, a Doc and a CM got RAPED the first week this was out, we deiced to wait a while to got some info as to where to go (read that you should evade the 3 SBD's in the engine room), then we returned this past weekend to give it another try. ONLY TO FIND THERE WERE 2-3 SBD's IN EVERY SINGLE ROOM - this is far more then a few SBD's in key places. I mean, it wouldn't even be that bad if the SBDs were actually killable! Do these things do Stun Damage or what? They 1 shot kill me with buffs and uber armor. The HAMs aren't bad, if they didn't kill you in 1 shot. I really think this needs to be addressed, Thunderhart? Talk about Elder content, I've been playing this game since day 1. The Geonosian Lab is good, the Vette should be just a little harder, but this is flat out rediculous, I don't see how anyone/group could possibly do this mission correctly now (im sure someones got an exploit up their sleeve)..


Just please Address this Thunderhart.. Stuff like this is what might run a 3 account hold to WOW or such.. I don't want to see that happen..

I am also a Master Smuggler and I am proud to say that I actually have a very important role on the corvette. While everyone else is screaming for their lives I am running from one objective to the next fiegning death along the way. For instance,getting the repair module to the driod has smuggler written all over it. You get the repair module, then you run in the room with the Super Battle Droids. You go as far down to the droid that you need to drop the module on and then feign death, preserving your buffs and your armor. Then the rest of the group agros every single battle droid in the room getting the agro off of you so you can drop the module on the droid. After that you head on to your next objective. The same goes for the final objective if you are running the rescue mission. First you run down to the holding cell and fiegn death, then let your buddies agro the group, you then stand up, input the code for the holding cell and talk to the prisoners. BINGO! Mission complete!. That is not the only thing that the smuggler is good for on the corvette my friend. Any of the objectives can be completed by the smuggler. Fiegn death is your friend and it will get you to the end of the missions if everyone else knows the plan of attack. I have also volunteered to be the decoy running in the super battle droid room and getting one shot off on every droid, getting them to agro me while I lead them out of the room. This allows everyone else to run in and reapair the droid.I have been in three groups that have completed the corvette and everytime I played alarge role in it's completion..


So if you are a smuggler and are complaining that the corvette is not made with you in mind you are completely wrong. That goesfor everyone else too, we always need a few good decoys up there to keep us from having to clone right away.

Well everyone say hello to your new elder. I am super awesome. Elder. E L D E R. Me. Sebun. I didn't even follow some of the above suggestions. I put all my armor in my house. No weapons No buffs. No food. No Spice. Ok ok I ate the giggle dust. Did the whole thing with 5 minutes to spare.

I will be dropping all combat professions. Actually I'm gonna drop all professions! They aren't needed! Woot!

My PA is like awesome man, you great. I'm like, "I think I'm gonna be sick."
