so accomplishments in this game is just about badges and grinding professions? jezz looks like i been playing my professions to its fullest is none in your eyes

Look at your box again. See the little tagline: "Game Content May Change During Play" ?
Well said... keep in mind people, this is SOE's game... not yours. They can do anything they want with it. If you don't like it, you can always leave

Well, I was expecting to be disappointed today and I got what I was expecting... so I guess that means I can't be disappointed, eh?
This does not give me a warm, fuzzy feeling for what to expect in JTL or in the Combat Revamp. Imagine what's going to happen then...
Since they never told us for sure what the old system was how could them changing it midstream be a lie? They never said they wouldn't do that... sure it sucks and I'm bummed about it too,but it's not a lie, it's not false advertisement, and it sure isn't illegal. What it is is disrepectful.

Well... Let me see if I have this right...
I started playing this game in the first week..either june, or july of 2003. I play regularly, but casual because I do haev a life and a job, and so forth...
But, I HAVE done 4 holos... got silent holo, then have done 8 more profs... I HATE GRINDING PROFS.... Its a stupid way to calculate progress in this type of game. It rewards 12 year olds on Summer vacation, but doesnt reward players like me.
I have been in the game for over a year. I have 80 badges, including all 45 poi. I managed to do the neutral vette once, which is damn near impossible for solo players. As I said I did do 13 profs. I had silent holo months ago... I havecompleted the hermit quests, all the other quests, cries of alderaan, the second rebel whatever the hell it was, I am a Colonel in Rebellion.
I am not "glowing"... It says the force is strong with you" what does this mean?? Where can I discover my "ranking" and determine approximately how long till I can ATTEMPT to do the FS stuff.... WAY too vague with the information...
Why arent the village quests INSTANCED?
As near as I can tell, there are a lot of players who have done less professions, less time in game, and less exploration... and yet they "glow"??? Explain this plz...
And lastly... EARLY on.... before ANY mounts... before ANY real armor... the holo thing came about secretly, and slowly... Holos were SO SO SO MUCH HARDER to get early on... it would take a looong time to get them, and they almost never appeared... Now, and for months now, any noob could start a character and master it a a couple days, go get the holos and than startgrinding as many profs as they could.. POWERGAMING.. bad way to run the show guys...
LONGTIME players like me are getting the shaft... We are getting no credit for tirelessly supporting the game thru a lotta bad steps by the dev. team. I HATE GRINDING PROFS. I dont see why ya'll would reward grinders ONLY. What about crafters (the lifeblood of the game btw)?? And explorers??? Entertainers?? Veteran Players (like over a year)? Total sum combat exp? Something? But it appears that only the grinders get rewarded.. well
Then i understand that you SECRETLY changed all the requirements??? so when i had silent holos 8 months ago, and thought i had just one silent to unlock, you CHANGED THE RULES??? Kept moving the bar???
Then I guess SOE wants a population of child jedis who ground out a bunch of profs on summer vacation... I dont like it. At all.
At least someone tell me how i discover what group Im in??? That will probably be my determining factor whether I reward Sony...I have been here since the very beginning... Why am I getting screwed....?

Concerning "Holo Credit" is this based off the Original 5 "hidden" professions or is this based on the 8 hidden professions?
For example, those that were on "silent" in all essentials where 1 profession from jedi at one point. SOE changed the rules along the way and didn't tell anyone. Are they getting due credit of 5 branches? Are they only being given credit for the other "hidden" 3 that they may have been lucky to get along the way? Silent + 0 of the 4 remaing hidden = 2 branches. only 1/3 of the way to jedi, when originally they were 80% before the "hidden changes".
A clear answer once in a while does more good than you can possiblly imagine.

This really, REALLY bites my @$$!!!!I pay the same monthly fee as the hologrinders, and I (like many other people in this game) actually PLAYED this game, rather than AFK macro our way through 32 professions. Now, we come to find out that as time went on they increased the number of professions to unlock, making it all but impossible foranyoneother than power-gamers and exploiters (if you AFKd your game, you exploited,simple enough, you were NOT at your keyboard actually PLAYING the game) to unlock their FS slots.
Now, we're told we're being split into groups for a visit from the Old Man, with the hologrinders getting special treatment and preference, and casual/rp'ers getting the shaft. DAMN I wish I hadn't paid for another f*cking year of this game. Otherwise, I'd f*cking QUIT!!
F*CK YOU, SOE! F*CK YOU, DEVS! AND F*CK YOU, TH FOR ALLOWING SUCH A BULLSH1T TRAVESTY SUCH AS THIS TO TAKE PLACE!!
And for the record, I don't have Jedi envy. EVERYONE should have an equal shot at getting a visit from the Old Man. If you're showing "Inner Glow", you should get that visit, PERIOD!!!

You automatically qualify. Hang out in the wilderness and you will be visited in a short period of time. The old man will visit you in the wilderness and send you on a quest.

You still have to do the quests, but there were no rewards or quests before. Now, the path is wrapped in content instead of starting as a brand new Padawan character who was very vulnerable and very hunted.

The way your holo-professions were accounted for is seperate from the badges being displayed through the interface.

Because a few of the quests involve all the players contributing to them (that resource one where it lists who's donated the most stuff, etc). Also, if they were instanced they'd be reset at every server reboot. That would sucketh.
