Okay, let's say I do all of this on Intrepid, become a Padawan and get my second character slot on Intrepid, and create a second character on that server. Then I go to my character on Tempest and go through the whole process again. I become a Padawan on Tempest, do I now get a second character slot on that server as well?

Its suposed to be an experience something you find out about, what ruins the suprise more then at this day and time you will do this and this and this, play the game learn to enjoy it or leave, QUIT CRYING!

To me it seems like the old man isn't completely done, and they are still working on him, watch us get a silent patch in 3 days, and just after the patch, the old man comes and visits me.....

this is bull TH. Ive waited since the day 9 went live and now youre telling me HURRY UP AND WAIT AGAIN. I unlocked 24 hrs after pub 9 I should not be waiting any longer, nor should any of the post 9ers. this is crap and a load of it. where is OUR OLD man visit?>?

The Force is with you," that I automatically qualify for the visit from the old man even though I was never a hologrinder? (I only completed one holo profession that I know of, but I obviously qualify based on the new requirements.)

I just wanted to say Im sorry for your troubles. You guys are in a no win senario. I feel for you.
Its sucks cause people won't think out what they are saying. It sucks cause people have no idea what they want.
Everyone here already knew the path to Jedi was mastering professions. I break these down into three different types of players.
1. The post 9 unlockers. These guys deserve to get a visit from the old man. They all unlocked even though there was nothing in place. They don't seem to understand that they don't have to do any of the FS quest. Which is good.
2. People who did grind some professions but not enough. If you had a holo silent that means you were half way there. so you will get credit. These peoples may have mastered 26 professions and managed to get 6/8 of there holoprofessions. I do think this is fair credit. why? Because someone who unlock pre-post nine DID NOT get credit for any of the professions besides their holoprofessions. If they master 32 and unlocked it doesn't change the fact they only needed 8.
3. People who did squat for a year, then 2 days ago went and got badges. I have no patiences for this type. YOu knew a year ago to grind professions yet you didn't do it. You waited for a quest based system, you got it and you still complain cause you have to take more time to get what you want. This makes zero sense. If you knew to get a jedi you needed to grind you should have started the grinding. Why did you wait? Cause you thought it would be handed to you on a platter?
The devs are doing a good job. You say they don't listen to their customer base, but this quest based system is because you asked for it!!!
Do you think they should just give a Jedi to everyone, Make them the same as a fencer, and get it over with. Funny thing is,if they did this you'd complain that their are too many Jedi and they are too powerful.
If you took work off to play a game......man you need to get your priorities straighten out. This is a game. You play it, and you can't play if you can't pay the bills.
I understand your frustrated, but you would be no matter what the put in today. I mean even if you all got in to the village today you'd still have to wait another three weeks for the next phase.
HAve fun go about your business, be a Melee Defense stacker! they are much better than Jedi anyway.

I'm not paying money to sit around and wait on things to happen. I would like credit given to my account for the amount of time I've had to sit in game doing nothing waiting for mysterious hard time sinks to kick in.
You owe us a better explanation of how things work. You're taking our money after all. We aren't paying to have things changed on us at the last second, and to sit around and do nothing for days, possibly weeks on end, just because you feel like being coy.
I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that the TC was accelerated for the testing reason.

dont think so i didnt grind either but i "have the force with me" or whatever that crap says ill check in three days if not i might actually quit this game never thought id say that.

You cannot imagine how upset I am. I'm not a ranter or normally a person easily upset, yet now I am.
I started about 6 months ago. At that time, I had a choice, grind out Jedi or wait for the new system. I choose wait for the new system, simply because I could have more fun, then mindlessly grinding professions.
I DID have a lot of fun, a large part of that was because of my crafting account. I didn't play my combatent much, he didn't need much xp and didn't have much reason to hunt. I was eagerly awaiting the Jedi revamp, and waiting and waiting.
I made sure I had all my badges so when publish 10 went live Iwould be ready. Chomping at the bit, excited to go.
Now I find out that because I only did 1 holo and 4 professions total, it may be weeks or LONGER until the old man visits me. You can't imagine how dissapointed I am.
Now the time sucks, but what is even worse is that I may actually miss a phase of the village now. Setting me back even farther, and stopping me from picking what FS skills I WANT. Now I will be pushed more towards just taking something.
I know WHY you guys did it like this, I just think it was done poorly. Very poorly.

Ok I got a message saying "you feel a surge of the force within you" Is that like a halfway point or is next step glowy or is that glowy I am confused on the messages.

**edit** man how the hell dose this work here sounds like bs to me i did 17 proffs and collected 45 explorerbadges and 76 regularbadgres and i only get a faint sence of the force and this guyhere dose 14 proffs and his ass is glowing and gets to go befor me screw you soe i want all my money back
