Ok...Page 29 Jeez...

I got the visit from the old man last night as I was running missions out of Dantooine Mining Outpost. He ran up, talked to me, gave me the crystal, and disappeared.

The crystal appears to be working fine for me. I then logged for the night.

This morning I got up at server restart shuttled to a player city and was then attacked by the sith. Killed them in one hit (Master Swordsman). I then was able to loot the disc and get the waypoint to the camp.

I went to the camp. It spawned correctly and I killed those guys and looted the Village waypoint.

I went to the village, converted my xp and got the FS crafting quest. I was able to complete the quest in about an hour. I am now grinding at the village.

I got the invite under the new system. I have never touched a holo and only have 3 proffesion masteries.

For me this system worked perfectly with no bugs at all. Great Work!!!!

wildwoman - radient server I did all the badges except corvett. I seen the old man in two days and gave me the crystal. My quest says I need to seek the old man and find out why he chose me

Does this mean I will get another visit?

my mission to rescue 5 aurilian villager is bugged.

my villager spawned in a tree, and i could not talk to him. this is 5 hours ago. i disconnected during this time, and now the villager is gone. whip wont give me a new waypoint. what shall i do now?

plzz help me.

i finaly made it into the village, and now this.....

I am feeling the same way excpet you are way ahead of me. It would have been better to keep holo grinding in place since now we are just grinding the same profession over and over basically

I did 9 professions before this and enjoyed most of them but doing the same one over and over again is going to get a little old.

Let me know if I am way off base here but it seems that we are going to end up grinding more than before.

start of day 3, still no sign of the wiley old man. been glowing since b4 patch, shoulda seen him by now. where oh where has the old man gone ?

So I finally get the old man Thursday.

Then my quest journal does not update so I put a CS ticket in. Ok, the journal updates. Then I wait for the Sith alll day. They finally show and I get the data. Then I get the following error when I try to use it: "You must first loot the object before extracting the data." So another CS ticket. Finally the problem is solved. Next I go to the waypoint and the camp does not spawn. I log, shuttle to other planets, and walk back and forth from the waypoint. No camp ever spawns. So another CS ticket. CSR Dave gets back to me and tells me to walk around so the camp will spawn AGAIN. I send a commen to tell him that the camp never spawned at all. At this time I am still waiting for a reply.

I have played 5 MMORPG's over the years. This one day caused me to contact CS as many times as I've ever had to with all the other games combined.

A LIL HELP TO ALL SITTING WAITING:

Ok, still see alot of posts ppl tired of waiting.

Dont just sit there and do noting. Or run around mindless in the wilderness.

He will come to you but to me it seems like best way to meet this guy is to

move and shuttle. Same for the old man and the siths.

So a few things u can do and have patience doing it:

Go to a playercity tight planet

Use shuttles, Go from player City and Player City. Maybe go do a mission and Kill some mobs if u dont have capped xp, ull need it once in village. As you load it seems to "attract" the spawn.

Redo and dont give up, this worked well for me and others

Also, Old man have visited many players upon login. So take a look at spatial channel and behind u before u dash away.
(Also seems to me it may be populationbased, if to much ppl still in village it may wait til 1 move out of certain range or log.. a thought, not a fact)

I missed the old man once, i looked at my spatial channel and i Did have him behind me. (Do not show on radar.. atleast not alwaysatleast for me he did not)

Vilage is interresting and its fun, but to many its agunkiller as it will consume more time than they can give.
Those not yet visited tho should not be dishartened, it may be what u seek, just my opinion, its not what i sought.

Neway, try the above.. seems to help.

I don't think that old man is working right. He visited me but i hadn't unlocked before pub 10 and wasn't glowing before pub 10 so he shouldn't have seen me yet. I only got 2 unlocks at the village, i have been playing for almost a year i think people who have played that long deserve a little more credit.

If you finished 32 professions before publish 10, how many days went by before the old man visited you?

Took 3 days (got him at login just outside a player city)

What happened when the old man visited you?

We chatted a while.. talked about the weather.. chatted about whether I felt Force Sensitive or not etc

What did you do once the old man visited you?

Well.. he decided he had to go as there's so many people looking for him.. I took a look at the shiney new crystal.. then went shuttle hopping to go sell stuff on bazaar etc.. etc.. now I'm just waiting (hopefully not another 3 days) to get jumped by the Sith and making weapons, checking harvs etc till I can get the next phase started..

Good luck to you all in getting to the village and doing the quests there!

In other words - the people who were SUPPOSED to be given what they were promised, are in the same boat as the newbs that spend 2 hours hitting all the POI's. Wonderful.

SWG is a lot like the Nicotrol System.

With each patch, you're that much closer to quitting.

So in short the way to become a Jedi is to get the glowing sensation by flying round the poi and the otherbadges lets say 3 dayslike and then join the massess of people already waiting for the visit. The visit being conditional on how many holo cubes you have ground and if none you maybe at the back of the list. So what are we saying is after me and everyone else in the entire galaxy has the feeling its just about waiting for my number to come up. Well thats fairly easy andother than those 3 days requires me to do nothingmore to worktowards being aJedi.And after 3 days running round everyone is elliagble to be a jediso by this time next year there will be more jedi in the galaxy than normal people, why not just cut out the middle part and just give everyone jedi or is filling the galaxy with Jedi a really stupid idea.
