If any thing do to your limitations on lag of the missions I under stand should had made it like the hero quest then at less every one that qualified to take the missions via grinder or poi and them parks would had a chance. It would have been far.

You have really done all you are able to do in this game? And you have all played not grinded through?
That would mean you have played through ALL PROFESSIONS, so you would have unlocked then also...

Hmmmm i got my visit from the old man on the 3rd day, but then i waited for the sith after that. Had to wait 5hrs for them to come to me but then some idiots end up killing my sith so i had to relog in another city to get them and i got them woot, now im doin the Combat Quest for Captain Surguilla at the village and it rocks here.

Well, well, well...
This is hilarious!
First of all, I want to say to all the Holo-grinders/Unlockers, badge-grinders, andthe oldVett players who feel they have been screwed yet again by SOE....YOUALL WERE BENT OVER AND BRUSED,is that proper language? If so i'll say it again, YOUALL WERE BENT OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER ANDBRUSED. Got Stitches?lol.
Second....Anyone who hasposted overly positive things about THIS of all patches, as a matter of fact anyone whose posted anything positive about SWG, either works for or is being paid by SWG.
Third....This is obviously not in any form a roleplaying game, it's online, you can play it, but definately not roleplaying.
Ok enough with the babble, here are the facts. For some reason or another SWG does not care about...wait, pound it in your head, DOES NOT CARE about the customers, only your 15 bucks you pay every month, 17 or more if you enclude tax. They pushed the game before it was ready so they could beat the release of EQ2 and other real MMORPG's. SWG has more bugs then any other online games i've played, including non roleplaying ones, the servers are barely crawling, i'm surprised they turn on after theirDAILY RESTARTwhich i may add A LOT of online games do not need. The creativity and flexibility of this game is pretty stiff, ever tried bending a 2 x 4 made of solid titanium? The creative director is so old i doubt he could tell his head from his butt if you put rearview mirrors on his shoulders.
I've been playing this beta game for about a week since release, no significant improvements other then the server not shutting down at any second <- Best prob they ever fixed, not including the vehicle / mount warp fix which only broke after the patch they added after it. Anyhow, i've tried every profession, including jedi and i gotta say jedi is pretty...disfunctional to be polite, they may aswell havepushed back the era to around the clone wars time and made jedi a starting profession. Damn, i thought i was going to stop blabbing.
Fact is, if you compare the code from the beginning of the game to now, you will see that over Ten thousand different "bugs" have been "fixed" and "refixed" did i mention "Happen less often" or just left broken? If this game was a car it would be stripped and sold for parts. SWG was rushed to bring in a few dollars, they got lucky and held down a clientel but they dont seriously expect to be a real online competitor,dontexpect this game to get any better. I've seent he business documents youdevs are up for asalary cut and the game will be up for some bumpy times.
Notice i didn't mention casual gamers, thats because they get screwed so bad that even if they somehow miraculously managed to get a jedi character it would probably take them twice as long as they have already played to get 1 skill box.
Just wanted you all to know the facts, i am not bia-tchin i have all the credits in the world rare loot to the sky and can even play a jedi character if i feel like. Just thought i should give you all some usefull info..

hey, how close is World of Warcraft to being done? Oh that's right SWG will release Jump To Lightspeed premature, so we shell out money for that, and probably wait a few weeks to get a spaceship off the ground...but we won't be giving our money to Blizzard, and that's what counts I guess.

Update:
After work, I returned home and logged in. Shuttled to a Player City and the Sith were waiting for me. Killed both and looted the datapad.
Got the waypoint, found the camp and killed them as well. Got that datapad and the waypoint to the Village.
Went to the Village, got no free unlocks (which I believe I deserved 1 unlock), converted some XP and started the Patrol missions. Had to log before doing all 10, but no problems so far.

Seems the key to getting the Sith to Visit you, is using the Shuttle, as every single sighting for my friends and I were within 10 minutes of shuttling somewhere:

You people kill me with all the whining...cry me a river. I have been here since day 1 and am happy how the game has progressed...sure it is sometimes slow and buggy but bear with it. It is only one year old for #$%^ sake. Crying, whining, and threatening is gonna get u no where. And honestly who are you kidding?. We all know that unless your going to serve our country (God bless those that do) your gonna continue playing, regardless what curve balls are thrown at you. Your all hooked!!!. So stop the complaining and enjoy. Or continue on...LOL..who am i kidding..i can really care less..Just waiting for this server to go back up.

I tend to agree, not everything is as it appears. Aside from minor bugs that lasted a long time or still are here, the really big ones have been fixed. I am a bit disheartened with the vendor desecration, but the jedi trials don't seem to me any less then was originally promised. Now instead of taking a couple of months grinding day in and day out people will wait a couple of months after doing simple quests. During this mediocre wait you will have to(oh no) play the game like normal! The more you play through publish 10, the more you will realize what it really is. Stop complaining because you have questions but won't read the answers over the forums when they are here, and also most things in the game reveal themselves like clockwork(just a matter of giving yourself time to methodize what is going on).

After having a susbscription from June 26,2003, I decided today october 2, 2004 to cancel my suscription to SWG. I am very disappointed in the way this game has ended up, and while I did try to give it a chance (over a year) and grind with my guild and make the game worthwhile, I cannot and will not contribute my hard earned money to a game that is extremely flawed.
Maybe when JTL comes out I will take a look at this again, but this recent publish has really drawn the line in the sand for me. Ever since this publish went to TC, it has been trouble. So while one customer may not make a difference, maybe just maybe TH, or whoever actually moniters these boards will see that such drastic changes that have taken place really hurt the continuity of the Star Wars brand, and hurt the general feeling of the game.

I have all the POI badges, 5 professions, all that is left are the heavy combat ones and the faction theme park. Still not glowing.

Right now people who didn't grind get as much credit as a newbi even if they have been playing for almost a year could this be fixed pls (not sayinging grinders don't deserve a thing tbh some should have a little more)
