How Bout Making NO WEAPON Delay if you are a MASTER and using a weapon you are certified for in that category.


I know still doesnt help rifleman because you would need to be a master marksmen to use laser rifles and such from the T-21


But at least for a TKA or Fencer, or even a Swordsman that would be a semi-quick fix/answer if it HAS TO BE something that is going to remain in the game. Ok yes bounty hunters are still screwed somewhat with this idea cause they cant switch pistols ultra quick ok, But as a master BH you get the LLC and carbine etc. Again semi quick fix


It will also Elimitate master pikeman from macroing 8 nightsister lances with every kind of poison and fire and disease in a 15 second period lol, They would need master brawler then to do that cause thats what the lance is certified in.


Ok Yes this isnt the perfect solution, but c'mon 5 stars for coming up with something plausible. Of Course i would love to see it back to the way it was. I pvp and get my butt handed to me sometimes by a crazy pikeman with 8 lances but thats the risk i take i guess lol.


it happens and its definetly not game breaking for me, i actualy have respect for the guy cause it shows his determination and skill and money and time spent on getting all those weapons and know how to use them effectively etc.

I've been quite outspoken in my disapproval of the devs and their behavior and responsiveness on many issues. I was also surprised yesterday by a major shifts in plugging holes including a recent one that has a MAJOR impact to crafters who have to deal with large numbers of subcomponents in production and factories.


After seeing Publish 9, I really appreciate the enormity of what the devs have done, and while its not going to be perfect, and not going to please everyone, including me, I appreciate the effort and I can see that bottom line is, this isnt just tweaks, this is a new game. I think players need to step back and appreciate the new game, and continue to work with the devs to continue tweaking it, and sometimes again... changing it. The old days are gone, things will continue to evolve in small and large ways, and I always geta kick out of hearing the "old timers" describe the days before mounts and vehicles, and running from city to city on foot, and so on, and lots of things that have improved, and while the devs cant have imagined everything that the game has become and will continue to evolve into, my hats off for the game that we have today.It takes some ability to step back and recognize that the game is a different game, and appreciate it, rather than get hung up in immediate impacts, and take-aways, and so on. In some ways a living breathing beta process.


Anyways, hats off to the new SWG game, and continue to look for me to moan and grown, about things yet to be tweaked, and about the devs lack of immediate responsiveness and disdain. A few things come to mind already, some new, some old, but this is the positive Bleue talkin





Fundamentally opposed to the SWG GR (Game Revamp) - Fix Classic SWG incrementally rather than embarking on balancing a New SWG from scratch - Players have suffered enuf for 2 yrs., time to build on strengths, thanks! - CLICK HERE

OMG...Jedis everywhere!


I Thought Jedis are at least supposed to try to hide? I can go to Major citys and counta Jedi after another!


Plz bring back the TEF for using Lightsaber! They have to be stopped!


May be you should even get TEF for wearing the robes....or maybe get points for more visibility on the Bh boards!

when to the geo-cave, jedi everywere, so...whent to fort tuskin, again, jedi all over.....loged off, am currently deciding wether to play anymore.


there shouldnt be jedi everywhere, its absurd with the timeline u guys chose. please change it, dont get me wrong i would like to have a jedi, but i also would like to be hunted all the time like it was befor, its more fun. if i wanted to fight and see jedi all day i would have just gon and bought KOTOR.


also i still warp 50m when i dismount my bike

Well what may have been intended to discourage exploits has now made it much more difficult to cooridinate a successful attack. With the whole armor delay and weapon switch cueing now lagging behind when you want it to happen...there are times when switching to a certain weapon can be advantages but not an exploit. For instance heres what happened to me today...


I am fighting nightsisters as a master TK/Master Swordsman/Master Polearm. I got a spellweaver, protector, rancor tamer and rancor on me. At first all I pulled was the protector and weaver but after running away from the spawn a different spawn decided to join in. Normally I use mind bleed and mind hit to kill protectors with 2 hand sword...a scythe. So I intimidate the protector, started going to town on the spellweavers mind, when the other two join in. Now I now that TK works good on the rancor and rancor tamer. So at this point I want to disengange the spellweaver and attack with my vibroknuckes doing a KD then Unarmed Hit 3 on the rancor first, since it dizzy/KDs then the tamer to get her out of the way. The problem is now when I click a weapon then click my macro for fighting with it, the previously queued attackssay can't be done with this weapon...fine...but then I get a delay and it seems to start using no weapon to attack with instead of cuing the weapon equipping before the attacks get queued. So in the end I have to sit there trying to figure out how lagged out my switch is, clearing the queue, waiting for the thing to stop trying to do things that don't show up in the queue, all while I am getting slammed. In the end I died from this situation because I couldn't get my knucklers equipped and a KD landed since it kept telling me the slot was already occupied and the combat queue was making it impossible to get anything done.


A person should be able to use their skills to their advantage. If I start out a group using 2 Hand spin 2 with my scythe, then see one person has hardly any action left and want to finish them off with a polearm leghit3...it should not be so difficult to do. It should happen with 2 click...equip...attack...done... It should not take me 5 minutes of getting smacked down to get the queue under control so I can make the smart blow. What this whole combat queing of weapon switches and armor has done is made it difficult to fight to the strengths of your current battle the way the blows fall. I can understand the whole armor switch thing...even though it takes my armor switch macro like 10 minutes to get me from clothes to armor...which is stupid, but weapons switching should either definitely have a queued up action that you can see or work in a manner that doesn't frustrate a person trying to attack using all the skills at his disposal. This whole change just makes it less fun to have all the different hits I have...unless you want to give every prof the ability to do a head hit, leg hit, body hit, at the same strength so you don't have to switch weapons something needs to be done about this. It sucks.

Devs can i have a JOB at SOE? ill work cheap and move to california for 4-5 months, ihave been programming for a long time, i am a oracle/microsoft sql engineer and have used softimage and 3dstudio max as side projects for a long time also and have a deep unstanding of video games. So how bout it lol.


You guys clone me over a copy of ahazi onto a test center and let me have at it, Ill balance combat, balance armor and fix loot drops and the economies lol. Just buy me a few cases of red bull, 25 cartons of winston ultra light 100's, and a office with satellite TV and give me 3 months and ill produce lol


I want nothing to do with the jedi system though, it is obviously almost near completion or whatever, so that will be fine, lets FIX the rest of the game together.

New Music, New Instanced Dungeons, New Weapons for combat classes. New Clothing for tailors (and fixes for species that cant wear certain clothing and armor), Fix the Vehicle Warping bug, Add some new mission types into the game, Fix Spawn Rates of animals, Fix Combat Medic once and for all, Will work on Fixing Battlefields Finally (we can add a server/cluster JUST for battlefields and handling player traffic of 500+ players in one spot at a time) Perhaps add a new planet JUST for battlefields, even like HOTH or something, with maybe only a 4000x4000 Playable distance on the planet, one end of the planet with be rebel, the other will be imperial. No faction points will be awarded BUT pvp ranking will be in place. will eliminate faction farming and hey it's FUN! yay. Also Will Add alot of functionality for ranger and camps (i got some good ideas lol) Also new types of Vehicles (some sort of jeep/convoy vehicles perhaps for multiple players, anyone in your group can get in your vehicle while you are at a complete stop for 5+ seconds and get out at anytime. Also will fix the DWB (loot sucks, mandolorian armor is near impossible to get even after pub 9 not that any changes were made to it anyway, also whats up with no color palette for the armor, jeez. Also will fix super battledroids BIGTIME and the SPawn Rate and the 0,0 warping issue)


anyway i dont know what your development team consists of, but for it to take 9 months to give wookies armor, 6 months to fix tusken helms, vehicle warping still not fixed etc. Perhaps you neeed some Fresh perspective. This game is TOTALLY Fixable i mean cmon, I dont how your backend is database wise, but it seems stable enough, its just a matter of tweaking the code and adding some new features to keep players happy here already. NO ONE should be threatening to quit the game, that spreads like cancer and soon everyone gets on that bandwagon.


Give me a office, give me 20 rollover phone lines and a phone number, players can call me and voice their ideas and fixes, if the idea has already been thought of and is in progress (and posted on a webpage ill maintain daily) , ill hang up the phone on them lol (sorry guys dont have time to waste hehe)


Like ive heard horror stories of people losing 8 months of resources in a house due to a bug, etc etc. These people need to be compensated. Give them 20 million credits (thats not game breaking and the economy will eventually drain out that extra money) Dont you guys use tape backups there or some sort of SAN to do a realtime backup at all? Like in real life i wrote a database for a customer, and they lost data due to a bug, and i could NOT get the information back with a proper tape backup and reintegrate the data back in, They would probably sue me. This is of course totally different and im sure the database is in the gigabyte range easily per server, yet still what gives?


You guys just seem to be pushing out new content without fixing what is currently broken making players extremely discouraged in continuing their gameplay. Some people take this game seriously as they would a real life scenario. Yes it is just a roleplaying game but people are hooked on it, i am one of those people lol.


Anyway contact me if your interested, im am quite serious with this offer, i can work from new york also from a satellite office. Your existing team can continue their work on the jedi and new wookie armor and such, and ill start debugging the rest of the existing problems that just seemed to be overlooked

Continuity calls for Jedi to be in hiding. The player base wants that to be a factor in this game. Lucas Arts already has a number of games we can play if we want to run around in a Jedi dream. Please do not ruin the game for us.


I would like to see TEFs for use of light sabers, display of tags, and use of force in public. Group members will not cause the TEF. Only x amount of people not in the group will cause the TEF.

I have no problem with people playing their Jedi. I have a problem with SWG not sticking to the time line. This needs to be fixed immediately. i am starting to see people drop from the game because of this and the weapon timer. If you want to have Jedi every where move the timeline up to where the new Jedi Academy is established and the remanants of the imperial fleet are being hunted. Mostpeople who play this game do so because of passion forthe movies and the associated literature. To blantantly decide to change the story line strikes deep.

I have almost lost total confidence in the DEVs.I think theyhave isolated themselves and unfortunately lost the vision . New blood is definetly needed

devs, u made ur bed, now u get to sleep in it. we've been sleeping in it for months now.


1. u prioritize jedi FRS over fixing hologrind - ERROR

2. u fix pub 9 bugs EXCEPT important vendor ones

3.Raph created this hologrind system, what does he say about it

4. u prioritize ID over other professions which need help--- ID DOESN"T MATTER

5. u refuse to fix bugs reported in TC, then u take a week longer then you still don't fix them - WHAT GIVES

6. ACCOUTNS ARE BEING CANCELLED AND YOU KNOW IT

Well not quite everyone. CH are dead already. We can't even draw our weapons (Pets You know the things we use to cause damage to an opponent ) once combat has started.
