You said decay would be gone.

Now you want us to pay FP for it? With the imperial crackdown coming how we will pay more FP?

Do you want more people to quit this game?

Live up to your words and take it out completely.

I would not say we were lied to exactly.

What we were told before is that decay in PVP would be gone for publish 6 and proabably be replaced in a future publish with some type of faction insurance.

Then after exploration the devs came back and said the no PVP decay was not possible because of coding issues that they did not realize, and any decay changes would have to wait for the next publish.

Now we are alooking at publish 7 for resolution which TH said in the first place coding would be done to make it some kind of kind of faction based insurance.

I do not see where the lie is. I do see that the DEVS did not research before they said "yes we could remove it in publish 6". They should have researched before responding

I agree mate and i think that this is another indication that leads me to believe they do not ahve an in house testing team or used one but relied on players and us currently to play test their game to work out buggs.

Many of these issues could have been resolved had they had or if they had their own internal test team. I have a friend who works for xbox does this for a living and after playing this game for about 3 months has decided he can't play it anymore because it is just a beta version being revised over and over again things he does not want to pay for. I can't blame the guy when he points out that at 68 meteres a pistoleer has a better chance of hitting you with a gun thena rifleman has.

and a rifleman can fire faster then a pistoleer etc... stupid stuff like that.

I will continue to play as a star wars fan, i just wish they had done more experimenting on test center instead of going live with this stuff and or keep beta running longer insteead of making us pay for a incomplete version of a game.

Sure MMORPG change over time, but honestly, many of the problems we have seen could ahve been fixed to begin with alot earlier on.

I feel that if day passes are given it should be for money (about 1000K) and faction (10fp), but it will encourage greifers as they have nothing to lose if they go hunting for coverts on missions, or go to cantinas with overt dancers (though it would be good to see the AFk spammers learn a lesson...). During quiet times i've seen one or two imperials sneak into rebel cities (and vice versa) and kill the new guys coming back with the TEF or dancers in the cantina. I don't generally mind this as i've seen them get caught out and learn the hard way when they run into a team thats ready for them. If there's no risk then they will not be worried to attack a town if they get a chance to spoil someones day. If there is gonna be a system involved then i feel to prevent this they need to be tied to one clone point at the very least, or increased FP loss for dieing while insured, but definitely no decay as its a major grief among players. Just my two cents

I want to know what you guys are really trying to do to make the GCW and everything else fun. I am tired of waitng for you guys to gather info, over and over and over and over.

Once again, I spent an hour wandering around bestine, Overt. Surrounded by Covert Imperials that didn't even say anything to me in passing. It's pathetic. Now you expect this to go on for another month or more? Someone is clueless over there. Many people won't wait that long. I find it hard to wait myself, because there is just no progress being made. Only small starts, that's it. That's not progress. We are only getting little tid bits of good to go with the HUGE MOUND of bad and your driving people away because of it. Do something quick guys before you can't fix the situation...

If it was going to be taken out completely and still are planningto do so at a later date, there should be no other payment other than being overt, end of discussion, period, anything else would be utterly unacceptable.

I just don't see what's so hard to understand. REMOVE THE DECAY. Impliment on of the MUCH better death penalties that counltess people have described. Problem solved. GCW begins. This whole arguement ends. The players are happy. People may actually stop quitting.

Yet they refuse to listen, over and over again. Like I said, it's almost as if they want people to quit playing.

Whatever dev refuses to come up with a better death penalty needs to be put in check. They have no idea what they're doing, and until you guys get it right, this issue will never die. But because you refuse to see logic, you only make the problem worse...

Neutral players don't PvP? Why do I have a duel option?

If thats the case move this to the GCW forum.

If not, whats a Neutral to do?

In the interest of fairness...

I still don't see a purpose on decay on armor. I paid for my armor, get it repaired by the crafter I BOUGHT IT FROM, and even he thinks the decay is excessive. he agrees that since armor(likeweapons) decay from use...that there should only be a 1-2% decay on UNinsured items. So I don't know what crafters SOE, the devs, CSR talk to, but the ones I know agree the decay sucks. only ones I know that don't...are the ones that want more and more money.(when a crafter has enough to consider 10million pocket change...something is wrong). and with the faction point crap...its already enough of a hassle to get FP to get rank, requisition items, or do the fun stuff like...build a base. It seems like the devs want it to be even harder for us every day. I don't think its an issue with not being able to eliminate decay, b/c if it was...how could they make it so a day pass eliminated just faction related decay? anyone else feel lied to all the time? or like they keep making it harder to play for fun? With imperial crackdown...its going to suck for rebels anyways. if you get scanned and there is even one overt imperial there...he can take 2 shots on you while the npcs kill you...and he will get FPs and you will lose some. for imperials it will be less of a problem(don't become tef/overt to rebels when scanned), but still a pain in the butt. I personally avoid PVP and heavy situations because I know I will decay about 2% on my armor each heavy battle.(1% from USE, and 1% from devs helping some crafters be greedy)

also...are the devs out to force people to join a faction? the neutral PVP is getting nerfed hardcore by all of this. they can't use faction points..HELLO...they AREN'T IN A FACTION!!! so just remove the 1% decay absolutely. leave in uninsured decay, b/c thats a punishment for not insuring. but getting punished even if insuring...thats BS. not all of us have a crafters budget. not all of us want to have to go into a town, take 2 missions at a time, go do the mission(while armor and weapons are decaying from use), repeat about a thousand times, just in time to go buy a new set of armor and new weapons for 5-60k per item(depending on vendor and all) just because you died a few times and decayed about 10times faster than actually getting your full use out of them.

It baffles me you guys are willing to pay extra to fight the war this game was designed around.

It baffles me further that the devs actually thought this up all on their own.

How anyone supports this indicates the devs are totally out of touch with this game, and the people who are for this system are brown nosing morons who never pvp'd day in and day out.

I would rather leave it the way it is. I would rather pay 5k a pop for insurance each time than have it rely on faction points.

You guys should increase rewards to faction based missions at least. You take from us, and we get nothing back.

I don't get it.

I just want to put in my kudo's on the post made by N4R4Y4. The idea if cloning is such that you take a "snapshot" of your character at a certain time. If you die after that then you should revert back to the cloned state. You lose ANYTHING gained following the cloning. This stops the decay on death (which I support btw) as well and using death as such things as transportation, escaping from something, etc. No more "I'll run in there grab what I want and then die. who cares about dying I'll have what I wanted and theres no real negative to dying so big deal.". People are constantly misusing death to "cheat" and I personally think its a huge problem. All these whiners that **edit** and moan about death being a real pain... well... it should be! It's not supposed to be a fun thing. you are supposed to try to avoid dying. duh!

Please SOE make death something to be avoided. Make it so dying reverts your character back to its "cloned" state.

If you intended on getting rid of Decay for PVP anyway then the faction insurance should be free since no decay would have been free anyway.

You found the way of implimenting the no decay for us, now impliment it and make it cost nothing as it would have been anyway.
