"For those who are not yet Jedi and wish to hold their progress, they will enter the Jedi Quest system in Publish 10 and for those that start the Jedi path will given credit for all professions mastered up to that point. For those that wish to continue their progress, whatever effort was put into the previous Jedi Path (IE. Mastering Professions) will translate to the new system. The amount of completed professions will be measured and players will get an amount of credit in the new system based on how many professions they completed." - by Thunderheart from jedi archives.

so.... if we qualify under the new system we can expect a visit within 1-3 days?
I think answering this question will put alot of players minds at ease
Thanks
This is a stove. When you see fire it will burn you.
If it burns me, does that mean its hot?
/sigh
You answered your own question with your quote.
Im aware i answered my own question im merely asking for confirmation on this point as alot of readers have jumped to horrible conclusions and not readTH's post correctly. Also...think about it logically......what’s the point in saying there will be group phases to control lag if everyone can get a visit within 1-3 dayswith5 content badges and a few poi badges that take a day or 2 to get.
How and when does this visit happen?>>>>>>
READ THIS>>>>> The old man will visit you when you have completed the requirements of the new path to becoming a Jedi.<<<<<

TH said that.
What this chart means is if you fall in group 1-4 then you didn't qualify for force sensitivity. Thats it. Almost, sorry but didn't make it. Under the old system you didn't do it. You get credit for what you did. They're even giving you force sensitivity because they're nice. They are just making you wait till the people who earned in the old and do earn it through the new systems get through it. Since you didn't earn force sensitivity, just a few bonus skill trees, you have to wait till the people who earned it use the village. You get to pass go, and you get $200. You just have to wait till the people who did make it around the board pass go before you get to skip.
If somebody qualifies under the new system tomorrow then they'll get a visit. They won't have to wait more than a day or three. If you want to get a visit without waiting for your group then go qualify under the new system. If you've played the game at all over the time you've had your account (mindless profession grinding isn't playing the game) then you're probably somewhere along the new path already. Go do something besides mindless xp grinding.
If i am wrong hopefully Thunderheart or another developer will post and correct me, since I'm defending them.
[Rant, independent of my TH/Dev defense]
Most of you people are reminding me of 3 year olds and it really makes me sad that you are grown adults and still don't comprehend that you are not the star of the show or the center of the universe. The world doesn't revolve around you, and unless you hire someone to do it, nobody lives for the sole purpose of pleasing you. I worked in customer service for 6 years so I've delt with a lot of people (in person) and no, I did not do poorly in my job.
If you didn't get so emotional over a game (if it weren't so sad then i would laugh) you might have read TH's post carefully and seen that it wasn't the end of the world and they never lied to us. Nothing is neither false nor true. They did not say much but what they did say was true. You just filled in the rest from your imaginations to be what you wanted and are interpreting what they said as false because it soothes your egos. Actually, I already figured out most of what TH posted from what was already posted about the Village-system and the Holo-credit. Nothing was really new except the flood control and it wasn't a shocking revelation of the apocalypse like you're treating it.

Oh, I see, so you keep score. You believe people who say the most have more rights to an opinion or perhaps are more likely to have something intelligent to say? Or maybe you think people who personally attack and insult others are most l33t? Guess so. Hope you feel like a great big important man now.

The old man will visit you when you have completed the requirements of the new path to becoming a Jedi. While this new path is still a secret, it is no where near as daunting as the holo-professions method. We have made additional provisions for those that worked partially through the old system. Here is how you will be allocated a visit based on the old system:
If you have... You will be granted access to the village…
1 Profession remainingAutomatically qualify
2 Professions remaining Group 1
3 Professions remaining Group 2
4 Professions remaining Group 3
5 Professions remaining Group 4
A very good friend of mine and I are trying to understand this. We believe that we both qualify under the new Jedi quest requirments. However we are unsure if these numbersapplies to us or not.
Since we have satisfied the requirements for the new Jedi Quests, do we belong to the last possible group seeing as how we have no holo-credit to our knowlage? Or, are these numbers purely for hologrinders so that they do not have to go back and qualify for the new requirements to be eligeble for a visit?
an example of what we are saying is:
A person with 5 finished holocron professions, with no other credit toward the new system is placed in group 2...
But a person with 0 finished holocron professions, but has all the requirements for the New system is automatically eligable...??
If anyone can help clarify this for us it would be much appriciated. We are currently wandering around the Corellian Forest hoping the Old Man is looking for us atm
hopefully we aren't looking for something that is there.

"You must unlearn what you have learned."
As the number increased, people were completing more and more professions to hit the hidden requirements. Although we will not be giving specific credit for the total number of professions ground, we will be giving credit for how many of the required hidden master boxes you completed. There is a very strong correlation between the raw number of professions that players completed and the number of hidden master boxes people completed. In other words, for those players that acquired 32 master boxes, they by default acquired the necessary 8 master boxes that unlocked their slot. For players that finished 29 or 30 master boxes, they almost certainly acquired 7 of the necessary 8 master boxes that unlocked their slot. This was the case all the way down the scale.
This is total BS.
You changed the rules on us?!?! First it was 4 holocron professions and 1 silent? Then you changed it to 4 holocron professions and 4 silent?!? As if the hologrinding system wasn't bad enough. It was totally unfair. Some people would unlock in 5, some would unlock in 32. How is it possible for any developer to even consider that someones effort for completeing 5 professions is equilevent to someone elses effort for completeing 32 professions? Its insane.
I guess a basic understanding of statistics mighthave helped.
