Willing to spend months doing quest to become a Jedi? Yes
Willing to sacrifice my character that I spent all my time building, not to mention use doing these "FS Quests", just for a Jedi? NO
Need the option to have a new character slot thats FS instead of making your character current character FS? YES

Wow!
I'm excited about this already.
I too like the way that there is some good storyline here to keep it within conceviable bounds of continuity.
the Village sounds like a wonderfull idea and the Quest Journal sounds so usefull its not even funny.

Seriously though
If this Village comes out, do u want people spamming in a "hidden village" about their empty vendor?
Do u really want tons of lag because of people running around inthe "hidden village" making it worse than coronet?
I would like my jedi building experience if i choose, to be by myself so that i can roleplay and believe i am the only one becoming a jedi, that i know of, even though i know their are really tons out there.
Ican see it now, Rohak, talking with the other guys there, discussing their new paths about becoming jedi and out of the blue, they turn around and see this wierd name guy yelling out items to buy. Whos that, Rohak says, I dont rememeber him being there a few minutes ago...and why does he have 3 mysterious letters floating above his head? Rohak, gets up and trys talking to this new individual....Sir can u tell me why your yelling...??.....Sir what do the 3 letters above your head mean ???? "Sir !!!" Rohak says in anger, what does AFK mean!!!!!!!!
I would like an instanced Village please.

This is a joke right? What a laff. This is so far from the premise of Star Wars that it may as well also be part of EQ2, except the questor gets to be a magic user.

The thing that disturbs me is this "invitation" to the village. What will be the criteria for this invitation? It probably meansthat many players that want to start on the path to FS won't be able to do it, as they will not get this starting "invitation"! At least in the holo grinding, everybody knew what was needed, and could start on his way. Also, I can already see how some people that should get the invitation wouldn't get it because of various bugs.
Can you please explain further what this "invitation" means?

Considering this was supposed to be out live now i would agree with you. Typical again of the devs we are now well past the release date and they are asking for our input on their ideas. Not that actually want to see yet more jedi content when theres so much else wrong with the game!

Lol, "What's AFK mean!!!", that's some crazy stuff but i see what you mean. But when is Pub 10 coming out? I've been drooling over here waiting for something to happen, the suspense is killin me. And now My vacation is over and im back to business. I was hoping to get some work towards jedi done before my vacation ended. I don't think many people right now are gonna care whathow it turns out right now, but we might be more concerned that it comes out.

when for the patch 10 ??????
i've passed all my play time to grind for the jedi and now guees what :
the dev changed the way ( sorry guys whe don't want grinding any more but who made thissystem me or you ? ......)
now it's a quest based (dunno what to think of the village have to see first )
don't care of what you do or what you change but make you'r job and give us the patch 10 we want it and pay for that!!!
i don't pay for jtl i pay for swg and i wait for the patch since too long time!!!!!!!!

Hey Thunderheart first let me say I think you are doing a good job. I kno wyou have received alot of heat during your trainsition about the switcheroo with publish 10 and stuff but I think that the game has gotten alot better sense you have be on the job, these mimi publish 9 patches have really been great... and I think they are really evening out some ruff spots in the game....
so as for the village idea I like it.. journal too...
I would really like to get started.... I gave up earlier on the holo grind as I am a combat guy only and my first holo was weaponsmith

I think the villiage is a good start, but sounds like alot of time spent on something that will immediatly affect very few players. I say Drop your work on JtLS, drop your work on this jedi revamp, and FIX combat!!!!! That is like saying we'd rather bring out an expansion than work on the terrain meshes having holes in them. People are falling through them, but they can get back by logging out and back in, it will be ok?
This, is a relatively good attempt at planning, which I haven't seen happen yet (been here since beta). I see alot of covering up stuff and waiting till the last moment to tell people that there was poor planning and that you didn't allicate the right assets to get the job done.
I read in the interview with a dev on the state of the game or the expansion? and they said that all the crew working on JtLS is 70. That includes testers, which are probably a large portion of that 70, but HOW can you allicate so many crew to an EXPANSION when a CORE system is BROKEN and you delay its release.
Sorry to rant, but everytime I see a relatively good thought on these boards I remember all the times I thought you guys had planned and you actually were going to get something done, but everytime I'm let down. I have lost hope in good notions. Sorry, but good luck with your game, i'm just waiting on WoW, which will be the demise of this game's population.
