I was told by a CSR the Dantooine lag problem was being worked on. This was at least a month ago and my PA is getting rather tired of 15 second delay on every action during prime time, can we PLEASE have an update on what is being done about the lag on Dantooine on the Chimaera server. (This IS server side lag and not client side.)

OK PLEASE ANWSER THIS THE ENTIRE COMUNITY WANTS TO KNOW!


So now that the combat pass has been scrapped, or 'delayed' for who knows how long long...what are we suppose to do?


-You had told us untill the Comabt pass went live things in the game are going to be unbalanced.


-The anwsers to 90% of issues for Corresdopdent issues,Profession, PvP..or whatever issue were going to be solved and taken care of in the combat pass.


Are we suppose to play a broken game now....its still unbalanced, and everyones Fixes are not going to go in anytime soon.


***Reminder

It is going to be totaly unacceptable if the "combat pass" is pushed 4-5 out. People play the game now, we want to play a game that is working the way it is intended. We are practicaly driving a car with only 3 wheels here.

I've noticed a disturbing trend since the last 'exploit fix' for harvesters. Suddenly, the Rebel NPCs I fight can walk through walls! I'm a TKA, which means I like my fights to be up close and personal. So, those large rebel bases that look sort of like a plus symbol from above are great for me - the Rebels inside have a lot of trouble kiting me! Or at least, they used to. Now I find they'll run into the wall, do the running animation for a few seconds, then warp outside the base.

One Rebel even managed to run back and forth through the wall a number of times, popping inside to shoot me, then popping back outside to safety!

Once again, the 'fix' to stop the 'game breaking exploiters' has made the game far worse for everyone.

Ok, you said we could use this area to ask questions. So here is my question!



Why, do these games never have "children" in them? Every NPC is an adult! Where do these "adults" come from? Are they hatched or what?



Inquiring minds, need to know!

Hi I'm Soixanteneuf, Curator of the Galactic Museum of Wondersin Ky'u Mai onTalus and a RPer(Starsider)


I've been a Museum curator for the last 6 Months. This is my profession and I take it seriously. I'm giving Private tours of the Museum, I got a good reputation as a Museum Owner. I'm unguilded and never PVP... As a matter of fact, I've played for the last 7 months and I still don't know how to fight good... I don't like Violence, Idon't havethe patience to be a crafter... My pistol serves only as self-defense when I'm on a Artifact hunt...


I'm just a plain Museum Curator. I acquire rare items and put them on displays in one of my two museum wings. I resale doubles to have money to buy stuff I don't have. I hire Artifact hunters. I offer consultation services. Sometimes other museum curators invite me to their facilities so I can give them suggestions and trade infos. This is my profession and I take it seriously.


Would be cool if we could be able to custom name our profession description bellow our names.

I'm just not a Novice gunfighter or a Trickshot or anything... I'm a Museum Curator plain and simple.


I live in Kyu'mai a Rpers City... They're a guy who play as the cantina's Barman... He is always in the cantina serving drinks, sharing stories and giving touristic infos about the city. I saw another guy who is the slave of another player. And saw another guy runs a Casino and another one, a Library. Those Rpers should also be able to put their own profession orsocial statuscustom description bellow their names. They're people really dedicated to their character even if they don't have official profession.


It is just a suggestion... Maybe it was already made before... But I really think players would like it.

i have a few things to suggest fort changes


1]...item storage....simplest way to put less strain on the database is to increase the stack size of resources to 1mil from 100k,or to not have a reachable stack size and let it be one stack per named resource,but thats way to simple to ever be heard.its advantages is that it decreases the items ,house and database load dramatically,and gives the crafting community a manufacturing base instead of some limp mom and pop operation.


2]jedi...there has to be a way for jedi to decrease there visibility,thru some action,since there are ways to increase it thru actions.also jedi need content to strive for the constant grind of jedi makes the whole charactor class rather piontless till the mid levels,and it still has no rp element at all existing ingame.


3]wookies..when oh god are you gonna fix the wookie not being able to wear a crafters apron,this was sheer stupidity to have it unwearable by a class that was forced into crafting by the lack of armour in the combat class,so this error serves to compound the insult placed at the door of the noble and often overlooked wookie race.


4]BE's... when will they get exp tapes and assembly tapes to augement here skills like every other crafter,its sad to say but tailors and BE's have no opertunity thru scavenging and looting to increase there skills in there professions,makin it aften dead boring to have either as a master level profession.


5]Chef...the subcomponents are still serialed ,wheh they cant be experimented on?who was the guy who overlooked this,i dont mind serials for stuff i dont make,or for things i can experiment on ,but comon subcomponents that i have to make,that require 2 -3 of and that are serialized make it im[possible to make a full factory run of said products,are we mom and pops shops or are we masters of our proffessions manufacturing things in mass?the former its seeems atm anyway.

make all chef non experimental subcomponents non serialized please for the love of god.



there isnt a thing on this list that is earthshattering or hard to do,from a change standpoint,so why are many of these long time requests and ignored so long?


thats easy,soe has a tendency of give em something new itll placate them mentality,and weve all seen it time and time again.just fix the bugs before ya introduce a new batch.


one last thing CSR policy....the csr's are very adept but they are hamstrung by a hear no evil see no evil policy set by someone.they are very rarely making compensation for us enduring bugs that wipe out months of work in seconds,and many well known folks have simply left because of that sad fact.

SOE bugs are your problem,us leaving is your problem,the fix.....give the CSR's teh ability to compensate for bug loss,or watch the game slowly lose income .that simple we wont wait forever,and many are already gone,how bad does it have to get before something is taken seriously bout the shabby csr policy maker's.


anyway those are my questions concerns and comments on swg.hope they are at least read

Weapon/armor/clothing repairs are still broken. As reported every week since the advent of Publish 7. The number of 'great' repairs has virtually disappeared regardless of repair skill and item condition. Many repair logs people have kept are posted in the Weaponsmith forum and apparently been dismissed as insufficient sample size. Everyone playing knows repairs are broken, only the Dev team seems to be in denial on this issue.

FIX THE MISSION TERMINALS SO WE CAN TAKE WHATEVER MISSIONS WE WANT, PLEASE!!!!!


just a simple request, i'd like to take rancor missions while i'm dathomir. I buff myself and drink some brandy. I mow through those things like they are nothing at all. But the game thinks I'm too weak to kill them and therefore the mission terminal gives me that same lame ass baz nitch missions.


I am powerful enough without buffs to take on things that con higher than white while walking on Dathomir. Please, let me get paid for it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!


I just get so frustrated at the stupidity that forces us to group with players just to get better missions. Then after I get them I disband. It's a waste of time. I see no reason at all for the mission terminals to work the way they do. If I can't kill the higher level missions, then I will die. There's no exploits involved.


It's just a huge waste of time to keep grabbing other players to group with so I can pull better missions. Not as much of a waste of time as it was to get to Dathomir from Rori to begin with, but I won't go there since I heard sometime in the next year we will be able to shuttle from any starport to any starport.


PLEASE, INCREASE THE MAX MISSION LEVEL ON ADVANCED PLANETS TO LEVEL 50 MISSIONS AT LEAST, IF NOT HIGHER.


SOME OF US ARE ACTUALLY GOOD ENOUGH TO TAKE ON THE HARD STUFF LIKE ITS A JOKE.


Even better, triple the HAM on rancors across the board. The only thing that gives me a challenge on Dathomir anymore is nightsister elders. I'd love to run into a 100k HAM rancor, maybe call it an Ancient Bull Rancor, oh wait, there are rancors with that name, even though they are more like ancient bulls**edit**it rancors...

I see you posting thisideaalot and can't believe they still haven't used it... They could at least add a new tab to the datapad to show waypoints for your structures... Placing a structure creates a waypoint automatically -just send them to a seperate tab and not allow destroying them unless structure is redeeded or blows up from lack of maintenance.

I agree this would be cool, but it's impossible.


When no one is around, structures do not exist. They only load when someone is in the area. So you cannot get info on status when it is non-existant. I suppose it would be possible to have locations though, or just make structure waypoints undeletable.
