Whats the latest on battlefields?
Why were they removed WHILE you fix them?
Couldnt you have just left them be while you fixed them?

My player city is one of the few remaining battlefield cities. Cities built around battlefields so they would get used, and they did and they were fun. Around a month later battlefields were removed to be revamped and were said to return in 3 months. That was january, its april now and no word whatsoever on battlefields.

any chance of reactivating the old ones in the mean time?

There is currently a movement starting on the Jedi board to have BH missions on Jedi Hotfixed or Suspended until fixed.

http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/board/message?board.id=jedi&message.id=335844

If the missions were working as intended it would be great but they are not. They are buggy and highly exploitable by both sides. They are being used as griefing tools and stirring up some serious animosity between classes. It needs dealt with asap. Alot of us are sick of nothing being done. It is very frustrating when all we get from the CSR's is the pat statement that its a known issue and its being looked at. Its been a damn month. Look at it all you like but for those who have fallen victim repeatably to the bugs enough is enough. Hot fix this and if you can't Suspend Jedi missions until you can get a fix in.

We like them and want them when they work as intended. But the way it is now SUCKS. No response from the devs is not helping. People are embracing the exploits as justifiable by the lack of a response. CSR's do not have a unified answer for the players either.

Some actual real life hate is getting created here. Please look into this.

That first response mirrors my thoughts exactly.

If you stopped posting these threads, it wouldn't decrease the poor level of current communication currently being inflicted upon the playerbase. Either just stop the illusion or hire a half-dozen more Devs who will actually have time to read more than 0.00001% of the ideas and insight that's all over the forums. Clearly it is a job that's too big for one person.

Yes it would make more sense in posting a topic they wish to get information on and going from there, everything else is basicly ignored anyway.

AFK Macroing....

My personal feelings towards macroing is that it doesnt stop me from experiencing the games content and fun, so no big deal.

If someone feels they need to replace boring repetitive steps with a macro, so be it. Need XP, go for it, doesnt bother me any.

What bothers me is the guys that macro LOOT. BorgleCaves on Rori are a perfect example. In addition to being jerks camping a static chest with a macro, they are also violating the TOS by using 3rd party programs to click on the x,y positions once opening the "chest" to click where loot should be.

Ive been going there for a solid week and have yet to loot a single chest once. Its overrun with AFK Looters that do nothing but sit AFK opening the chests and clicking. This has to stop. At this point, macroing afk has now crossed the line and affects more than 1 person directly. It effectively renders the dungeon useless to people like me and these guys AFK macroing now have the upper hand by selling BACK those skill tapes at a rediculous price.

Risk vs Reward? I'd say they get all the reward with little or no risk/effort.

I would really really appreciate it if the CSR's would enforce the Third Party clause by banning anyone AFK looting those chests. From what Im told you cannot do a /loot all with the in game macro system so if anyone is looting AFK they are definately using 3rd party programs.

Please put a stop to this now

I think it is important to understand that while riflemen are seen as overpowered because many of them fire specials once a second at little cost to their HAMs, this is not due to any fault of the profession. Their negation of HAM cost is the result of buffs of some sort, and their firing specials once a second is due to having Master Marksman or those all-too-expensive skill attachments. No one complained that much about riflemen until very recently, yet there has not been a major change to the profession since 2003, so it is not as though they were given a ton of extra power recently.

Regarding TKAs: they were given a big power boost, no pun intended, many months ago, when the unarmed damage mod of the TKM was raised from +40 to +70. I must ask, why was this done? Were TKAs truly underpowered back then? Also, consider that the Holocron says the "unarmed" class of brawlers is the weakest class, and yet TKMs regularly outdamage master fencers quite easily.

Please do not nerf anything chefs or doctors (pr medics)can make or use. Leave everything they can do as it is. Don't require higher levels for making or using anything, please.

Finally, I am strongly against a player's ability to completely hide his/her online status beyond what it is now. The /ignore is fine alone, blocking off all communication from whoever is ignored. I am not particularly fond of the ability to make your character unsearchable, as the /who command becomes somewhat deceptive. However, I am willing to tolerate the continued presence of being able to hide yourself from a player search as long as we are NOT given the option to show as offline when we are online. That would allow the game to blatantly lie to the players--are we as players not expected to be honest? Yes we are, and if we are not, then we risk being banned. Therefore, is it too much to ask that the game present us with honest information too? Without honest information, this game cannot function. If one's bank account had 10k but showed a million credits, or if am aggressivemob was really 2m away but showed as 100m away, there would be problems. As SWG is an online community whose environment depends largely upon the interactions of players (this shows in the unique flavor of each galaxy), the game must not contain a mechanism such as this which encourages players to shove other players aside so easily.

I have a bad feeling about this nerf

First issue...Server "border" issues are still causing some significant problems.. we recently had a house that had apparently been placed on a server border and the items in it would randomly disappear and sometimes reappear later on. Many items have never shown back up. When we redeed this house it thinks there are no items even in it. CSR couldnt or wouldnt help with this.

Which leads me to the 2nd Issue..

CSR still Cannot or Will not reimburse a player for items that disappear. We work hard for these items and deserve to keep them. I can see if we happen to hit destroy by accident they may not help (but imo they should) but for items that just disappear from inventories, houses, factories etc they should be able to regenerate them. Its inexcusable that a game like this has customer support that is not able to do ANYTHING to help 99% of the time we havea problem with a BUG in the game. Based on all the posts on this issue in the forums and my own in game experience this is a very big issue.

Whatever is causing items to disappear needs to be fixed asap and so does the ability for CSR to give items back when this happens.

Indeed. I posted about this in the last weekly discussion and I'm going to echo Zutan here. This has happened to me and the CSR told me there was no way to reimburse or replace the items I lost. Fortunately the stuff I lost can be replaced at a reasonable cost, but a friend of mine lost a LOT of rare stuff due to a similar inventory bug. Considering these bugs are not our fault, there should be a better mechanism in place so that we do not lose them, and if they are lost they should be replaced. Otherwise, how are we supposed to consider ANY container "safe"? Even the bank has had bugs before and that's supposed to be a safe place to keep items.

Howdy all,

Hope you are all well. I would like to see the capability to remove maintenance and power from harvesters. It is very annoying that you can not correct a typo when loading them with maintenance and power...say you type 10000 instead of 1000, or worse 100000. We can remove maintenance funds from a vendor, seems it would be an easy fix to add this functionality to harvesters.

Thank you for your time,

1) Certain characters (Luke, Han, Leia, Vader, Palpatine, etc.) should have been "instanced", with a 24 hour team of people playing them. Yes, access to these characters would have been limited, but that's how it should be, anyway.

2) Jedi should NOT have been allowed as a possibility. An extreme few lived through the Jedi massacres, led by Darth Vader, and any that were to spring up would become students of and used by Darth Sidious/Emporer Palpatine (thereby relinquishing control of the character to an NPC) or slaughtered. [This is a Star Wars game, so obviously Jedi *have* to be included.]

3) Professions should have more advancement possibilities, become stronger at higher levels, not be as powerful for single column dabbling, and some player customization for uniqueness.

4) A hardcore server in which death results in ~drumroll~ new character creation.

5) Content. (I'm not saying "more content" because there really isn't any, to begin with.)

6) The developers should not have designed a "jump through the hoop" single player game, allowing for multiplayer interaction. The galaxy should be far more dynamic, to a great degree, with players visibly affecting the game world and making a difference. Yes, we all know the end result, but there was that one advertisement about "the greatest saga ever told - yours" bit.

7) Players should have a specific forum where their voices are truly heard. A monthly, or more frequent, questionaire sent to each customer (only one per player, not per account) asking opinions of profession balance and taking suggestions on things that need to be worked on or fixed.

8) Game promises need to be fulfilled. "The most powerful weapons/armor will be player crafted." While this statement was true, it is becoming less true, all the time. As previously stated, there should be levels of uniqueness and not just because of the name placed upon a gun or suit of armor or the slices that these items receive.

9) While the customer service seems to be improving, more recently, it still needs to be drastically improved and more customer service representatives need to be hired.

10) More weapons and armor. Unique weapons and armor cannot be stressed enough.

11) While this is a video game, more real world physics could be used to improve combat and movement. There is a suggestion of them with Terrain Negotiation, but such skills could be worked differently and not designed only for a specific class.

13) Factional items, personnel and bases should be more equalized. A Rebel base should have far more power, of itself, for defense, as the Hoth base was able to hold off advancing AT-ATs for hours (even though we actually saw a small portion). AT-STs should not be as common as they are, as they were used in the movies as siege weapons/base guarding vehicles. AT-STs also should not be able to be picked off by riflemen or taken down by a single player with a power hammer (yes, a few dozen Ewoks and some mighty tree limbs, sure).

Again, if anyone else has any other thoughts or suggestions, please share them. I know I've not covered everything, but the above are the major things I've noticed. Yes, there is a grand level of beauty to this game's design, as is, but there are far too many problems for a game that's been live for so long and far too many broken skills/professions.

Anyone willing to bet that TH doesn't listen to us, yet again? It's obvious he only answers the threads that he feels are positive towards SOE or the SWG division, but ignores the ones offering constructive criticism and that offer ideas to make this game better.

If you feel the need to flame this thread, please take your stupidity elsewhere. This thread is meant for constructive criticism and will be duplicated for Thunderheart, in next week's Weekly Roundtable Discussion (assuming it's still going on). My suggestions are meant for the betterment of the game, even for the idiots who wish to just flame, not realizing that such ideas would improve their gameplay also.

OH and another request about merchant vendors.Could there be a check put inplace that if the vendor has not had items added to it within X days (i think 30 days is plenty) then the vendor would be deleted? The excess maint in the vendor could be transfered back into the players bank account or just considered a loss.Im reallygetting sick of empty vendors cluttering the map, people made them while hologrinding or tried to start a business that failed but the empty vendors are still there.

Please do NOT read that im asking for vendor maint to be increased, im asking for empty and unused vendors to be removed after a considerable length of time. Think of ATMs that have been out of paper money to dispense for a month, it belongs to someone but they obviously dont care about running their business so it should be removed (sorry, but its the only annalogy i could think of, its been a long day).

An idea i had would be to set a max amount a structure/vendor can hold, say 2 months worth of maint, that would prevent having to increase maint but still help to discourage this ghosttown phenomenon were seeing these days.

Is there any discussion for increasing resource stack size? as a master weaponsmith since september ive stockpiled a very large variety of resources and am running out of room to store them all. with higher BER harvesters more resources are coming out of the ground, so could we please get one stack of 500k steel instead of 5 stacks of 100k steel? would help out the crafters imensly. also restackable crates would be nice, but the increased resource stack size would be more desireable. did i mention that this would help to ease the database load? the database just has to keep track of 1 stack of steel instead of 5, thats a pretty easy way to get more efficiency out of your technology and provide something the player base wants and needs. its a great way to solve some of your problems without nerfing.

Can we get some elaboration on the new jedi system? maybe you could start an 'In Development' thread? seems like a good way to use the new forum setup. It is not unreasonable for us to want some more information on the "main character becomes FS" rather than having a second slot, since many many people created twileks for social gaming or mon cals for crafting (i did) but do not want to be a jedi in those species. my jedi now is zabrak, what happens to him with the changes?

Please answer this, the jedi forums are filling up with petitions against the new system or posts praising the newsystem when really all we know is that one line that shouldnt have been spoken. I believe this very strongly, if you didnt intend to elaborate on such a large and fundamental change, then it shouldnt have been mentioned, but its too late now, its out there, we need some information.

Maybe you could open the thread so we can have a part in the development, get a chance to put those ideas infront of a bunch of different people (not just the dev team) so that if there is a problem or a wishlist item it wont get added or excluded. Would be great to avoid wasted development time in a bad change (read crafting nerf here) or if there is content that could be easily added to the new system.

I suggest the "InDevelopment" forum because, as should be made clear with the thread, that any of this stuff is subject to change.

Please dont leave the players out of a drastic change and please stop the madness on the jedi forums, its bad enough already and getting worse as hysteria builds.
