I agree with the planetary battlefields idea, that way you add a few planets like Hoth, where rebels had to take a ship from a rebel base to a rebel base on planet, imperials did the same from an imperial base, and once on planet all personnel were automaticly switched to overt. None of this running around in the back woods and suddenly finding yourself in a battlefield.

Another option would be to have imperial and rebel entrances to underground battlefields, similar to the Warrens, but factionally aligned.

Isn't that kind of the point? That being a Jedi is VERY tough and VERY dangerous?

TH, how come we don't get an "In-Concept" thread for this one?

How can we add input if it's basically been decided upon already? *boggle*

It wouldn't take anything more then to make battlefield death have no penalty and non-bf deaths have major penalties

I.e 10% uninsured decay 2% insured decay vs none on battlefield

also let jedi fight and die with no penalties on bf's

if jedi don't die on battlefields would definitely make the bf more interesting.. I've never even been in one yet... =/

Since Battlefeilds cost us nothing, how about fixing Turret and HQ exploits first.

It's just the rebels sir...... they're here.

I don't agree with this. YOU decided you wanted to be a Jedi knowing full well what the gameplay would be like. Now that you've become one, you cry about that same gameplay.

Caveat emptor, buddy. You made your bed, now either lie in it or be quiet.

    1) Double FP bonus in BFs.

    2) Make interesting things to be bought upon enterring the BF. Like a load screen with a recruiter that will rent you a Heavy Repeating Blaster (Commando use only) with tripod, or AT-STs or Military Grade Rebel Speeders. Toys to make the combat on BFs different. Make sure they are at cheap prices as they are short term use only. I.e. AT-ST for one battle, 400 FPs.

    3) Leave no decay.

    4) 50% FP loss as compared to outside BF.

    5) Ability to use up to five Faction pets, or one AT-ST.

    6) Mountable AT-STs and Rebel Speeders.

    7) Give non-combat classes specific tasks to perform, but don't make them imperative to victory. I.e. Weaponsmiths can deactivate minefields for FPs. Every class should be covered however, so everyone can play a part.

    Just throwing ideas out there.

That one is easy... at least the LOW fps...

At 512MB of ram I was getting 12-14 Fps on my Athlon XP 3000+ system with a Geoforce FX5600 256Mb card, and 120 Gig SATA Hd

At 1024MB of Ram... I get 25-35 fps on the same rig. Do the math... the minimum specs (256 mb of ram) is a joke... 512mb should be the min and even then you thrash your HD like nobody's business... at 1024 I can actually ALT+TAB out of game to answer an icq.

If this is going to be a battlefield then you should not be able to come back in after you are knocked out. Also the battlefield should have a start time and then a time when nobody else can join. Then after that time it will just be a fight to the last man. If the Imps or Rebs can get more guys to show then that is what happens. Its a war. Also I think that you should be able to warp to a list of say three cloning centers that will randomly pop up to allow the Jedi to escape being killed while coming out of the battlefield.

Does Lucas Arts know you closed the battle fields? Because they're website livethesaga.com has a whole section on battlefields. Sounds an awful lot like false advertisement.
