I would like to see objectives based on your skills... I know it is like a drem, but it would be cool to have a slicer shutting down enemy turrets while squad leaders and other combat classes start an attack... Ya know...

Umm, Jedi shouldn't have free deaths on a battlefield.

Jedi are the ultimate warriors and their should be extreme risks to go along with the extreme rewards.



BTW, to the guy early on in the thread who won't use his jedi on a battlefield because he doesn't want to die. You should get your jedi revoked. I never heard of a coward jedi.

Battlefields should have a faction. When a side wins, the battlefield becomes aligned with that faction. Each battlefield gives a perk to the side it is has faction with. This would make them in use most of the time, and the place for PvP.

Could weplease get an update on the Battlefield status? It's been like a month now and some of use are really hurting under this close-down...

Just an FYI... This should be fixed soon to avoid problems down the road.


Since they've been shutdown, the land has become buildable. People are placing structures on the area.


I came across a battlefield recently that had 1 house and about 3 mineral harvesters build directly in the middle... why someone would do that I'm not sure, but it's bound to cause trouble when these are turned back on.

That's a great idea, and makes a lot of sense. You land at the starport and that's your staging area. Instead of entering a small roped off dangerous spot, you'll be leaving a small roped-in safe spot to enter the battle.

Ya, a battle planet does sound like a much better idea.


The old system of using battlefields was too much of a pain in the arse, in so many senses. They were neat in the beginning, but as the Devs obviously noticed, they lost their 'glow' within a few weeks...

Just something I thought I'd pass along... I noticed that folks have started putting up harvesters in some of the battlefields, which indicates that depending on how the battlefields are "revamped", if they use the existing battlefield spots they're going to have to find a way to move those structures while being fair to the players.

A battle planet where Rebels and Imperials can fight for control of the planet, there by affecting who is in control of the GCW is what I have been saying all along. They would require the players to go to their local faction recruiter and ask for a troop transport to Hoth where they are zoned in to a safe place to prevent griefing. The entire planet is a battle field with AT-AT and AT-ST vehicles moving around looking for rebels to kill with squads of stormtroopers moving around with Imperial probe droids.


There could be combat air speeders over head and TIE fighters, with at randomtimes one of them will shootat each other so we could be entranced to just watch the air battles from the ground.


There would also be rebel squads with Rebel probe droids moving around looking for Imperials to kill as well. Players could "group" with the NPC faction members and follow them around for safety and for the chance to kill the opposing faction. There would be faction check points and faction camps scattered around as well. There would also be a faction base head quarters for both sides set about 13,000 metres away from one another. Victory requires the opposing faction to destroy the opposing factions head quarters and base commander, there by winning this victory this turn and the battle field will reset and all players will be zoned back to their faction recruiter town until the Hoth resets for the next turn. If you are killed on the battle planet you will respawn in the safe zone on Hoth near their faction"Evac" landing area where there is a combination field hospital and cantina like at Anchorhead and an escape tranpsort back to their recruiter town (all of this would be the safe zone complete with turrets for both sides).


To me that would make it better and feel star warsy to.
