Make Pistoleer and Carbineer more on par with Rifleman. Rifleman is the only working Marksman profession for PvP.
Some suggestions: decrease rifle speed and accuracy while moving. Up Pistoleer Damage and give them a good AP gun. Make most of the Carbineer and Pistoleer specials worth using in combat.
I also suggest changing smuggler specials to work with any range weapon and get rid of the pistols 4 req.
Pikeman could use some new weapons and better accuracy mods and defence mods.

increase the ham regeneration rates on 'non-soloable' creatures/npcs such that they will require a team to defeat, not one person.

Limit negative attributes on armor to fit within all species limits (ie let my mon cal wear a complete set which he can't do with his stats maxed towards the armor) thusly allowing a balanced defensive capability between races.

make all combat class equal in combat.
A master pikeman = TKM = master carbineer ect.
A master pikeman = TKM = master carbineer ect.

Lower armor to 50-60% max resistance to allow all combat types to do achievable damage.

Increase lightsaber accurracy (max is 100 at master atm) or decrease maximum melee defence across the board.

Remove mind damage type or make it healable by all medical professions. Prefer removed.
This would be one of the most balancing fixes in combat.

The Jedi is not nearly powerful enough, other professions (which are easier to achieve) have higher resist and more defenses, please give the Jedi robes resists or make it to where the Jedi will be feared again and not slain by some fencer.
