seems to work just fine. the more npc's the better! especially talkative ones. if you keep adding stuff like this slowly, (fix broken stuff first ) i can imagine a very rich galaxy in a few years. this is great content to a rp'er who is interested in npc interaction and loot hunting adventures.

i do agree, however, that the prices they offer is too low inmykauri'seconomy. if there were some better offers, i might have sold some of my better junk to them, just to make an instant sale. not that i need the credits.... but it's fun. i thought it was pretty cool to talk to some of these dealers. i like the one in mos eisley in lady valarians ship. he buys guns.

Thank you for the added content of junk dealers.

When will the smugglers get their revamp?

I was one of the people who asked for more functionality from Junk Dealers.

My feedback.

  • An Eye of Mesra will easily go for 10,000 credits. That guy up there with the imagedump was being offered 30.

  • Junk Dealers should give quests. I think the lack of payout should NOT be fixed by jacking it up.

  • There should be visual clues that help us determine "at a glance" what the Junk dealer will sell. Online time is valuable, and you have intentionally created a game where we are encouraged NOT to speak with NPCs.

Sure omg DEV dont burn out come on revamp the junk dealers .. no dont put in new droid chassis or work on bazzar ... no dont try to fix battlefields ... no dont ... just sit here and try to make junk dealers usefull ... no dont read the boards first we dont read what customers want we just do ... no dont make them to usefull thats to hard to balance ... no dont let them payout to much noobs would get to easy money and thats not good .... no dont let them sell stuff, we dont have npc vendors ingame and we dont want them .....
see wasnt that a good idea to work on this for 2 days so you dont burnout now you can work on the "Droid Invasion" again so we can make the poor DEs happy !

OK i have no idea of how to development a game but sorry there are 100000000 lil things that should be fixed in this game andthey start with junk dealers ??? I dont mean the bigg stuff lik GCW or the proffs that are bugged since month NO the other small things that are really .......... broken like some weapons (thx for carabine skill fix btw) or the mail bug that opens 100 new mails if you want to write one that cant be that hard (i think if itis thanim sorry) or the bugged proffesion tag ?? im still running around as a Teras Kasi Warrior to making fun ofall the new TKsasking for train lol

i think i would have some more small things they could fix for a lil break so they dont "burnout" but bugreports they have enough im sure !

And my english isnt good enough for this job

I dont wanna say that this junk work ... sorry i better say work on the junk dealers .... was useless or waste of time would never say that i just mean there are more important things thatcould need some attantion!

Buying junk from them and selling junk for around 1000 credits or 1500 credits sound like it would be worth selling off junk that you collected off loot.

I say we should be able to sell of low level stuff like CDEF pistols at low condition, almost broken armor, and hopelessly low condition droids instead of ONLY loot.

i eagerly await the "junk dealer afk macro"...and the calls to "add more junk! the junk campers are getting it all, its not fair!!" and "stop the junk exploiters!" and "ban the jumkers!"....the junkers will earn millions of credits a day and destroy the economy...

and if they give 1500credits for a cdef i might run off a few 100 crates and sell them to the guy....

selling junk to a dealer is a huge honking waste of time. the spots i have left in my inventory are worth more then 30-60 credits. infact i usually delete resource containers once they get below 1000 units cause space is such a factor.

maybe instead of fixing junk dealers, he time would have been better spent REMOVING the junk in the first place...that would have helped the database as well

i think most of us would rather get nothing at all than get a cdef pistol, 1 unit of some crap resource and a broken sandstat.

most anything the players dont consider "junk:" is kept or sold on the bazaar for 1000s of credits.

Surely this is all a sick joke? Get the base timers fixed first, they're still broken!!!

To be perfectly honest, I tried selling a broken something-or-other to a Junk Dealer a long long time ago (just to see what the deal was), and never bothered to go again, for two reasons:

1. NOT WORTH IT

As was mentioned many times above, its not worth the time/credits to travel to a Junk Dealer and sell a non-useable item for minimal cash. Even if I was in the same city as one, presented with the choice of making 100 credits or deleting the item, I would just delete it.

2. I *LIKE* JUNK!

Personally, I like to have various junk items lying around in my house to add to the decor. I was until recently a Master Artsian (simply for the vehicle-making abilities, though I gave that up because vehicles are a whole other system I don't want to bother with until its better), and had a bunch of broken parts and stuff lying around my "garage". A waste of space to some, but immersion eye-candy to me

Now, in terms of IMPROVING the Junk Dealers, I think you should put in options such as these:

- MAKE SOME JUNK ACTUALLY USEFUL
Lets make junk more fun! Throw in some stuff that are components to other stuff, or make those all those electrobinoculars and other stuff have some sort of functionality that they can be repaired to. Its not so far-fetched...why would Junk Dealers buy junk if it couldn't be repaired or made into something that works?

- BUY/SELL/TRADE
Junk Dealers are all about the business of selling you junk, as well as buying it and trading it for other junk. How many times in Star Wars did you see some guy just buying crap and amassing a huge amount, apparently not trying to sell? .

If you want the Junk Dealers to be REALLY interactive, don't just limit the sort of junk they will accept (which I think this patch does), but expand what you can do with them. I also don't think there are any Junk Dealers at that Jawa Mountain Fortress, though the loading description says its a source for junk trade. Maybe you can throw some Jawas that trade stuff in there? Throw in some sandcrawlers that cross the desert while you're at it, where people can meet with Jawas to buy/sell/trade for parts at a price cheaper than retail for something brand new

Just my two cents. I don't ever plan on selling any junk, really, unless you can get a much better price for it. I'll just go on deleting it when I have no space for it. *shrug*
