I made 100 credits off the junk dealer...but the time it took me to find him and the ticket cost, I probably lost around 30,000 credits heh. I suppose its good for noobs that might need that extra 100 credits, but I'd rather tip the poor newbie then see him sell junk...Good idea I suppose, doesn't work too well with the current economy..nothing like a pawn broker (If thats what was intended?)

Feedback: The system is not very functional at all. Its to much of a hassle to locate the correct vendor to buy the junk, and to much time running there, when killing just a few more npcs would yeild the same amountof credit drops. I am not really sure based on this system what you wanted to acheive, as a player I can't think of anything viable.

Suggestions: Make Junk dealers easier to locate and consistantly in the same place per city.. you know like bazzars are generally in the bank. How about putting the junk dealers next to starports. Have all junk dealers buy all junk, though maybe some would pay more for certain kinds. To go one step further they could give advice as to which dealer would likely value the item more and how much more.

There's a lot of "noise" in this thread but I think but one thing is clear: Junk Dealer payout needs to be increased significantly in order for this part of the game to be appreciated.

When implementing something like these junk dealers (which I think is a very cool idea) you have to keep in mind the current state of the economy and factor that in to the payouts in order to have a useful system. Increasing the payoutsto 500-1000 creditswould give moreplayers an incentive to participate. Currently,it's just not an effective use of time to use these dealers.

Also, some of the other posters had great ideas. If we could use these dealers to buy junk, I think that would be a valuable addition for all the collectors out there.

Those are my thoughts!

How very apt that the publish has junk revamps.

You could infact say that the bulk of this publish was infact junk

I remember seeing a few posts requesting more junk dealer content, but they were few and far between. There were many other higher demand changes requested than this. There is still very little incentive for most to use junk dealers now.

I HAVE BEEN PLAYING FOR ALMOST 3 WEEKS HAVE NOT SEEN A JUNK DEALER AND I DO NOT LOOK I DESTROY THE LOOT IF I DO NOT NEED IT. HAVE TO DO TO MANY MISSIONS TO MOVE AROUND AND INVENTORY FILLS UP QUICK. I SAY MORE REWARD OR LOSE THEM ALL TOGETHER.

To remember which junk dealer wants what junk, then find that junk is just a laborious process that overall, I'd rather kill gnorts for XP than go trash collecting.

Maybe if there was a "Quest Logbook" added to the datapad with the junk dealers info logged into it the first time we talked to them? And this logbook could hold info for any quest we are given, too.

This is an excellent idea.

I think its safe to say that the majority of your player base thinks that this change was a waste of time and resources for the Devs.

No, I didn't bother to try it out.

What possible reason is there for me to waste my time collecting junk, spending time finding the "right" junk dealer, and then sell off that junk for only a 100 credits or so? I like running quests and the story behind them, but this isn't a quest - its just a waste of my time and not fun. If I want to earn credits, I'll just take a mission.

Personally, I still can't believe you devoted Devs to this task. I don't remember your player base ever asking for something like this.

With a 9 min 55 second wait for the shuttle I decided to try this, coverd my shuttle ticket expence with a few bits of trash. Handy to have something to do in town, now I know which junk dealer is close to the shuttle I can just hang on to his stuff and delete the rest, no point going afk if you only have a 1 min wait but you can sell junk in that time easily.

This adds something to the game not sure how usefull it is but its going to keep me occupied and imersed for a few minutes once or twice a week. LOL I used to spend 'dead time' at the shuttle deleting junk from my inventory, not much changed I guess but now I get a couple hundred creds from it.
