i'm a rebel and i think they should be left in game. it also gives pikeman something to do that is challenging yet not going to instadeath them

All Rebels should be AFRAID to beRebels openly, watch the movies, read the books, anywhere near this time period, the Imperials were dropping Star Destroyers and whole Armies on Rebel strongholds or any city, planet,in open rebellion.


Bring back the Nova Troopers, or Buff up the Storm Troopers, rebels are afraid of Imperials using them for cover? Then have them drop down at random from shuttles, you DO have Star Destroyers in orbit overhead, a perfectly logical place for the Nova Troopers to deploy from. Overt Rebels in town have a random % chance to suddenlysee a shuttle drop down and depoly Nova Troopers in response to reports of Known Rebel terrorists being spotted in <insert NPC City Name>.

Rogue, there is absolutely no reason to removethe troopers from the game right after they have been put in. Go read the GCW and Game Guides Forums, or heck any of the Galaxy forums. You will find a vast majority of the players, Imperials and Rebels alike, want to keep these troopers in the game.


1.They make the Imperial Crackdown actually mean something, and are a real show of Imperial power in the galaxy.


2.They give Rebels something to hide from, something to plan against and target in strategic groups if need be - basically, they give a real reason to RP a Rebel in the Star Wars galaxy.


Please listen to the voices of the players. Just look at every single response to this thread so far. That should be some sort of indication on the correct path.

If this is going live, then thank you. Lowering FP and XP rewards for crackdown troopers is a much better way to curb faction farming than introducing insanely powerful npcs.

ok, so im imperial...and i like having the novatroopers around. i dont get it. we are getting spanked in the GCW, but because some rebels whine about losing a fight with 1-2 guys vs. 1 imp and an ATST, our pets get ruined.

so we crackdown...and it sucks. rebels are doing what we all assume is farming faction. ive talked to a few ive caught doing it, and they ALL said they were doing it for the 3000+ weapon xp...not for the faction. so you really are NOT going to solve the problem with this. this is just trash.

one time for the rebels that dont get it. YOU OUTNUMBER IS BY 3 TO 1 ON SOME SERVERS...YET YOU ARE STILL WINNING EVERYWHERE. STOP WHINING, AND UNDERSTAND THE FACT THAT YOU ARE WINNING.......

Succesful? Only thing I see here is the whiney Rebels win again.


Let's see now, AT ST nerfed to oblivion from whiney rebels. Rebels win first act due to sheer numbers advantage, Rebels win second act due Imperial unable to complete second act due to bugged ending, Rebels win third act due to forwarning they are losing and extension of limit. Rebels faction farming in various cities finally ends due to the Empire actually getting some teeth back, now removed once again due to whining yet again....


Any police force in cities being factional or non has to be almost impossible to defeat, this keeps order and fear to break the law. Now not even one day you already removed the Empire. There is no rebellion, there is no fear, no opression... the crackdown hurts Imperial players because they get fined/lose faction and can do nothing about it. Rebels just farm once again...


What's next? Imperial players now have bulls eye marked armor? We're outnumbered, outgunned and the Empire is an utter joke. Stormtroopers alone should have been a challenge to defeat, they are the elite troopers. You're acting like school kids, do something right and then cave due to peer pressure... you should at least have let it go for a patch or two to see how it worked out. Wish you would fix bugs and complete unbalanced professions this quick...

It appears that all the players wanting to keep the Nova Troopers in the game are Imperials so they wouldnt understand how ridiculously strong the Nova Troopers are......please remove them from the crackdown. I do think the current Storms should have light armor though to make em a little tougher.

The Nova troopers were cool ... BUT ... they would mess up PvP in those cities, theyre great for PvE and scaring rebs,but who wants scared rebs? I want mine live and kicking and willing to fight and not scared of some nova trooper.... I dont need a nova trooper to hide behind and id rather do the job myself. I love killing fation farming rebs and camoflaging myself in "farm" cities in my ST armor.

I had a blast this morning when some Nova Troops dropkicked me (obvious exaggeration) off my bike and scanned me. Well, I ran like a bat outta hell which immediately turned me into an OVERT rebel. I thought this was awesome. I was in Kaadara at the time and I had to run from alleyway to alleyway avoiding all the Nova Troopers to make it to the shuttle to escape. It was so much fun. This is that immersiveness we have all been clamoring for!


Please don't take it away from us.
