Rebel opinion here.


I haven't actually logged in to see the Nova troopers yet, BUT I remember the original crackdown event that placed troopers and AT-STs in coronet. It was loads of fun, and I wouldn't dare attack a stormie if i saw an AT-ST withing 100 meters. I spent a long time sneaking around the outskirts of town, trying to find a stormtrooper cut off from the rest of his pack and take him out. It was loads of fun, and I was very sad when the imps evacuated coronet.


That made me really feel like a rebel. It wasn't just plain the opression, but the sneaking around and stealth i used to murder lone stormtroopers. I'm not quite sure how the nova troopers work now, so i don't know how this relates. Do they just spawn in when you attack something? If so, that's not interesting and what I've said doesn't really matter. I'm hoping they just have a spawn of one of them along with each squad of troopers patrolling the city. That way lone stortroopers could be led away or found lost and killed. Not profitable at all in terms of xp or fp, but great for immersion.


In short, keep the troopers in!

I was speaking in behalf of my rebel character on another server... so he is not alone. Not flaming ya, just know that all rebels are not pleased with this change. Some are some aren't... some imperials may be happy too Who knows until they post their opinion.

I like the idea of crackdown troopers giving no faction or xp, and with support coming after a few rounds of them go down. Perhaps some AT STs, (which would also be worth no xp or faction, or perhaps heavily reduced). If the AT STs go down, then the Novatroopers would show up =) Then maybe if they went down, the impereals would lose control of that city for a while, not for a long time of course, maybe until the next server reset. If the empire lost a squad of Novatroopers, the best of their best, they'd have to take a while to regroup =) Maybe replace faction farming with meaningful city combat.

Yeah, I'm a rebel... got a problem with that?

I guess if you are only in the game to farm faction they should stay in. But if you actually PvP they are complete BS. You cant put 200k tanks in the game for one side to hide behind. Only people who cant or dont pvp could possibly think this was a good idea.

I liked the idea of them in certain cities but its just to much. We already have several factors that are helping to kill PvP, now your telling me when I go to bestine I not only have to watch out for overt imps but now 100k and 200k storm troppers? Think your pushing it a bit to much.

Less xp and faction is great, 50k stormies with normal resists would be fine as well, dont give us 100-200k stormies with 80% resists.

and you guys also removed the dicount even though were not winning the war sounds like you guys want to nerf the imps more, another spoon fed victory for the rebs.heres an example of the people who nerfed the at-st's nerfed CH and every other prof after that Enjoy and are now whineing for nova troopers to be nerfed.

umm yeah they are. u dont remember them ending the act3 then mysteriously re-opening it for another three weeks??? the rebels lost act3 and the devs let it run till the rebels won THEN closed it for real.

Even if they are removed from and some sort of reinforcement system isn't put it, I think Naboo should have Novatroopers all the time. The Old Man is on the planet, for pete's sake.

Probably too many lower level Rebels would get spanked by these ultimate troops. It's not very fair to punish the average rebel players because of the actions of some of the power gamer farmers. It's a more sensible idea to reduce or even remove the faction and XP gain from the farm.


Although I would like to see them stay in and only attack the über Rebels who are constantly attacking the crackdown Storm Troopers. Say after they rack up a certain amount of crackdown ST kills.


Of course some of the Imperials will argue that keeping them would be adding Rebel-only content. You can't please everybody.

Well i am glad they are out of the game, a 200k HAM storm trooper with 95% resistance to kinetic? and they are just sitting in bestine? Just makes it so every overt imp just needs to stand near them and they are pretty much protected by something stronger then an AT-ST and a Kraytt dragon.


Ya maybe make some tougher but not 200k HAM bar's and 95% resistance.
