Amen to that, im so sick of bounty hunters crying all the time thinking they deserve everything good in this game because a single bounty hunter named boba fett had it. Boba fett is wayyyy after the mandalorian time and mandalorian armor was never designed to be for bounty hunters only, but for MERCANARIES. Which would entitle all master elite combat professions to wear this in my opinion.

DEVS Please listen to the majority of the players here. I too do not want to see some Chef or Dancer running around with such a unique armor! Make it exclusive to certain proffesions.

Ok, first to all those crying about crafters charging too much.. It is not us who set the prices on it, it is the combatants... When i first started as an armorsmith i was charging a simple 120k per set of composite... Well you can guess what happened, the stuff flew off the vendors faster then i could make it.. So i took it up to 185k a set and left it there for awhile and probably would have forever.. Except... that it wasnt long till i started to find said combatants running around reselling my armor for 300-500k a set.. So of course i wasnt gonna have people making money off my work.. upped my prices to 300k a set.. and eventually 500k a set.. and then saw my armor getting sold for 800k a set.. Guess what i ended up doing, you got it... So dont go crying around me that the crafters are raping you all on prices.. You did it to yourselves.. I personally could care less about credits, i just like making armor, it's my thing, as long as i got enough to pay my harvester maintenance and building maintenance.. Buy any spare power or minerals i may need for stockpiling purposes and then pay said combatants in excess of 50-100 credits per a hide (there you go again upping the price of armor).

Second since it was mentioned, RIS.... This stuff is a JOKE again because the combatants want to get rich off selling the componets.. minimum price ive been offered a loot item on this stuff for is 500k each piece of RIS armor takes 4 different loot drops.. so for me to buy enough loot drops to make a set of ris armor it would cost me 18 million credits and thats if i dont crit fail or get anything less then a great success on experimenting (these alone could very well drive component cost up to 40 million) I cant even think of buying the components and selling the armor, no one would be willing to pay what it cost me to make the stuff. So now i gota few million resources laying around totally useless to me. Personally i say remove the loot dropped items as a requirement, sure leave them available as an OPTIONAL component that would make the said armor better! Lets get RIS out there, make it the same resists as composite if the optional components are not used during the crafting process, people would eat this up as it would add a variety over the traditional composite and ubese.

Third loot dropped schematics, great idea i actually like this, perhaps even quested and if it is a quest make it so that it takes a horde of combatants to obtain them and then sell them to thier favorite armorsmith, but make the schematics a super rare drop and the schematic should be for all 9 pcs and the advanced and regular segments and be a perm schematic, not this silly charged schematics.

Fourth, Armor should require certs just like weapons, i have long said this.. Joe newbie shouldnt be able to log into a server and go loot a crystal off a meatlump and sell it to some poor sap jedi for an outrageous amount of credits and then gobuya set of composite. Give us armorsmiths a reason to make bone armor, mabri, chitin, tantel, padded (this armor needs to be changed, rediculous that we gotta get wooly, scaley, and 2 planet specific hides). Make it so Composite and Ubese require at least novice of an elite combat profession.

Each and every elite combat class should have thier very own special and unique armor, that is only wearable upon obtaining the master title all of these should get the same stats maybe with a unique special protection that helps out that particular profession. This would add a MUCH needed variety of look, and give people a way to stand out.. And for gods sake give us armor dye or make all armor like composite is now, let the buyer choose his/her own colors trying to maintain a stock of multiple armor types in multiple colors is a logistical nightmare for any armorsmith. I mean come on, weaponsmiths can make 72 different and unique items.. Tailors can make god i dont know how many but alot of different things... Armorsmiths are stuck with the ability to make 3 useful things, composite, ubese and PSG's (ok maybe not so useful).. But you get the point, give us something to do besides sit there and twiddle our thumbs waiting for the composite to churn out..

Ok, on mandolorian.. Im gonna say this making it rare and hard to get and requiring loot drop components to make BAD IDEA .. Let's face one thing they already threw continuity out the window, Jedi are a dime a dozen.. Another thing you gotta realize is this, do you want to actually use and wear this armor??? Or do you want it to become nothing more then a housing decoration and something cool you walk into the cantina wearing???? NO!!!!!! You want to wear and use this, and your gonna want to know that when the condition hits 0 that you can replace it. if you cant then putting it in the game at all is completely senseless and might as well be another mattbury painting. Just remember RIS.. This stuff needs to be just like composite in production, schematics perm, requiring only different resources... Oh hey heres an idea, requiring stuff from weaponsmiths like oh a couple flamethrowers and rocket launchers..

Shug,

As a Master Armorsmith I have to say, PLEASE do this right. This is one of those things that could really hurt the game if done wrong. I would actually be supportive of it NOT being craftable (i.e. looted). If this stuff becomes attainable by too many people, I think it will be a real detriment to the game. We do NOT want 700 Boba Fetts on every server.

Mandalorian Amor should ONLY be wearable by Master Bounty Hunters, Master Commandos, and Master Squad leaders. MASTERS. Nothing less. This should be the ultimate goal as far asarmor goes for these classes. It should be powerful, yet extremely rare. If you decide that you must let it be available for more or all professions, then please still restrict it to Masters only.

The RIS quest in its current state is just plain broken, BUT I would really like to actually see Mandalorian be as rare as RIS is now. I have never seen anyone in game wearing RIS, and know of few who have attained a whole suit of it. This is the way Mandalorian armor should be. I have no problem with this being a near impossible (by design, not flaws) quest. I think it should be a true test of the players who attempt it. I would even say perhaps it should be limited to a few suits per server.

PLEASE take the time to do this right. I don't think anyone wants a repeat of the Holocron/Jedi issue. Irepeat, we do NOT want 700 Boba Fetts on every server.

given the difficulty of all the current new dungeons I imagine this will be yet again something else that I, a solo MBH with no affiliations, will not be able to get.

I agree, Mandalorian Armor should be rare. I'm not much of a Star Wars buff (hell, I still don't understand the facination with someone who had two lines and couldn't catch a Smuggler w/o a Sith Lord's help) but I seem to remember something about him having the only set around. Now, saying "he has the only set" and actually having the only set are two seperate things, so keeping it rare is a great idea.

Now, the way I see it, the armor is going to be crap no matter how it's implemented. If it's a schematic drop, it'll more than likely require hard to find resources (see RIS armor--anyone remember that? I vaguely do) and an Armorsmith will charge out the wazoo to make it for you. Now, if it's a dropped item chances are it's not going to be better than composite (sure, it's a free set of armor, but I'm sure you had to go through hell to get it...it'd be much easier to buy a green set of composite).

And why would it be only for BHs? B/c Inept Fett had a set? Aren't we supposed to be unique characters? I know I didn't become a BH to be like Fett (and I've discovered, with great dismay, that not everyone thinks like I do...has anyone seen the names ppl come up with [I've seen Obee Won and some Skywalker variations even though there's this 'filter' to stop that] and for awhile every backgrond wassome sort of 'my father practiced the dark side of the Force...' story).Mandalorian Armor should be allowed to be worn by anyone who wants to wear it, from Novice Entertainer to Master Commando. Simple as that.

call me crazy, ut i would assume madalorian armor is gonna be a more reare then RID armour. So I would guess if you DOn't have a suit of RIS armour then don't even attempt to get a set of this.

Also lemme ask you this to push my point further, how many of you have even seen someone with a full suit of this on? I have been playing on eclipse sinse day one and the best I have seen isone person wearing the ris helmet, and he wasnever gonna use it for combat cause of the decay rate vs. how hard it was to get/make. This is just like jedi and everything else, pointless to pursue if you don't have 241362456263246 hours a day to camp. Or one can only assume it will be sinse it is not in live or test yet.

I'm afraid it will be hard to make it rare. I believe your policy is that eveybody should be able to take a shot at getting the armor, meaning there won't be a finite cap on how many Mandalorian Armors there can be on one server. Am I right? If everybody can get it MANY will - resulting in every well accomplished combat-charcter will be sporting a full suit of it.

People want the armor first and foremost because Boba Fett wears it and it looks cool. Well, no need to make it extremely good then. If the really goodarmor sets delivered by armorsmiths (like composit)are better in general than the mandalorian armor, people who really care for it will wear it. Those who just want a better set of armor can stick to what they've got.

What I'm saying is; don't make it into some kind of elite armor that every power gamer will want. Make it cool, stylish, different than others, but NOT better. After all it wasn't the armor that made Boba Fett famous. It's the man inside that counts.
