I would like to make a request that the Chest plate on the armor is divided in chest/helm/biceps. Its comming with very low decay resistance and with only 6 hours of taking damage with the armor is almost broken. The chest plate is taking too many damage...

why dont we have more race specific stuff throughout the game. other than just the wookies and some twilek items, lets have more race specific items or armors or such

That would be cool, but remember - this was not ADDITIONAL armor for Wookiees. This is all we can wear. Everyone else can wear Composite, Ubese, whatever. And yeah, I know Twi'leks can't wear certain helmets =)

Since Wookiee's get armor can the other races get a boost to HAM or do we have to cry as hard as our furry friends?

Thanks very muchly! It truly is appreciated. I'm sure I speak for all the wookiees we await eargerly for the new armour to roll out. While the 'ceremonial armour' looks a bit silly, I'm just glad we're getting something.

I just await all the haters now to come post about how unfair this all is, etc. Probably from both sides. *grin*

Either which way, /salute

I'll be honest with ya, as a fellow wookie I don't really care for the armor so far. Either we get one as powerful as the game breaking composite (yes yes, its only fair since that is what dictates PVP) or there isn't much point.

HAVING SAID THAT.... I'm just gald to see it because I know it's in response to Wookiees asking for it! Very cool. Plus I don't wear armor anyway being a rifleman and do quite well thanks.

This tiny boost is nothing compared to advanced composite armor. I bet any wookie would rather have armor than a little boost that you can achieve otherwise as in eating a freakin pancake.

Has anyone heard when the next sets of Wookiee armor will go live?

Its ignorance like this that makes me wonder. Its pretty obvious that many dont understand the difference between fixed and percentages. Wookiees have fixed ham. Full composite is percentage of damage reduction.Do the math before you saythings like this. Don't even get me started with the lack of resists to different damage types. I love the wookiee character but the armor issue is killing me. (literally)

I am almost ready to scrap my Wookiee and go another race. Its a shame really. However, I doubt the hunting armor will be like composite. Curiosty, is keeping me from changing him completely, that and I dont want to grind everything anymore. I hope they figure this out soon..

Wish we knew when the 2nd and 3rd wookiee armor sets come out.

I personaly dislike the idea of wookiee armor. Nothing personal, i don't hate wookiees. It's just that if they get armor then there is no longer any penalty to being a wookiee. At this point they have the best stats in the game with only penalties of not being able to talk (although everyone can undertstand them) and not wearing armor.

Trobon, play a wookiee, and then **edit**. Give us all the option to shift the race of our characters, or take our stats away and give us some decent armor. Right now,. Wookiees are just terribly gimped and can't compete seriously wit the kind of armor the Devs have allowed to be produced now. Those of us who have worked since launch to build our characters as Wookiees are now extremely frustrated. Please hurry the 2nd and 3rd armor types, and if they have to have base HAM encumbrances to balance our stat bonuses, no one will complain.

LOL.....advantages....Wookies....LOL....you must be kidding!?!?!?!?!?!

Oh yes we are so advantageous to have a few more points in the world of doctor buffs and foods. While you can run around in composite armor that can now get up to 90% stat protection, we're sitting on armor that gets at best i've seen 50% kinetic and low 30% on other stats. Sounds like a great trade off to me! I do appreciate the armor, it helps to an extent, but we sure could use a little better protection. Though I would never expect the level of composite, something stronger would be ideal.

I have been a Wookie since June/July, whenever I bought the game. I picked a Wookie because I thought it would be different from what most people would pick. Only after advancing my character for quite some time did I find out there was no armor to be had at all for our species. I sure didnt plan on redoing my character, I enjoyed who I made.

But then we get all the better armors coming out, while the Wookies get left behind to struggle against the stronger creatures of the game. I tell you what, you wantto experience what we've gone through. Go fight a Nightsister without any of your armor, only a buff and food, and tell me how long you last taking 100% of the damage.

I only hope they make the new armor's better stat-wise and a lhaving a little longer shelf-life. But I would really like to see the developers add some Wookie items or clothing for all the schematics and items we gain through theme parks. Maybe give each race a race-specific reward during some of the missions, that would be a nice change of pace.

Sorry to rant here, but the "Wookies have it so much better than us" routine is truly getting old. Try being one before you complain about us.

I've been a wookiee since july/august somewhere around there and quit the game for a full 4 months because of my bad experience as such (I made the mistake of paying my account out for 6 months when I first installed). I came back to the game in January and have been working hard to unlock my FSCS. After going through all the brawler based professions I can honestly say that the current armor is a step up the ladder of equality of species, but one that almost missed the bottom rung. First and foremost the protection is nothing compared to what other species have available and the current armor is simply not worth spending credits on unless you have plenty to throw away or you absolutley have to have the look of it. Secondly wookiees can't wear ubese or tuscan bandoleers or mabari belts, meaning that any armor attachments a wookiee has acquired is doomed. Please think logically here. Why, in any concievable case, would a humanoid not be able to wear a belt that can stretch to fit even the fattest of humans or a bandoleer that can go from small enough to fit a tiny little 3 foot tall mon-cal to large enough to fit a 6'4" tall transdoshan? (this came about tonight when I was about to put a carbine accuracy AA into a ubese bandoleer and decided to try it on first, luckily) PLEASE GIVE US A WAY TO USE THESE ATTACHMENTS THAT IS FUNCTIONAL AND NOT GONNA DECAY IN A FEW HOURS OF GAMEPLAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Also, the one piece chest/helm/biceps is absurd. Either the condition needs to be increased or the piece needs to be broken up into 4 units. ARMOR DECAY IS KILLING MY BANK ACCOUNT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I went through at least 4 chest plates while leveling up in each of the elite brawler professions. Finally, we NEED to have some sort of decnt PvP type of armor. I was taken down as a Master heavy sword/TKM in the blink of an eye by a novice fencer who was using a gaffi stick on me, not even a stun baton (of course he was wearing a full suit of composite armor at the time.

Us wookiees seemed to have missed the boat as far as lootable items go, not by choice it was tho. There is so much stuff that wookiees can't use, yet, as it remains, there is but a few items other races cant use that is wookiee, armour, cloths and, i need some help here....

The score remains 200+ other races and 20 to the wookies. I'd really like to see more loot items be able to be worn and usedby wookies, maybe a pendant made from forestvines and a block of compressed forest moss perhaps, giving +5 to wookie rug softness.

I'm dreaming, it'll never happen.

As far as ceremonial armour goes, it's good, but it's not great, it's a step in the right direction, but only a step.
