Back on the subject...
We have exactly the same problem on Kauri. In fact during all the race there are numbers of extractors and building ruining it.
Maybe we should be unable to build in this zone.

Yeah, all the guys who are happy with everything are playing the game. They aren't spending their time sending you guys letters or posting on the forums.
I do not know of a single player that is happy with everything. The most dangerous customer is one who never complains. It is those customers who just fade away without a word.
fading...quietly. Ooops, I guess not so quiet anymore.

At its core, the idea of polling players in game is valid and one I'd like to pursue, but when it comes to forum demographics, avid posters tend to be early adopters and power users. The feedback they provide is always valuable information.

Why solicit feedback from this small sliver of the overall fanbase that reads the forumwhen you could be getting much more meaningful feedback from all those people that are actually playing the game?
I've never been a big fan of Dev bashing, but this man does have a very damn good point![]()

Looking forward to breaking out the new wook armor myself.

Well as for some feedback on the armour, got a set of the Hunting on farstar, I must say, so far I am a happy wookie, currently stats are at 80% Kinetic and 64% base. The only thing I have found is when you look at another player, sometimes the head points quite a bit further to the left than where it should (only cosmetic but a slight bug). Not seen any texture ripping like there used to be on the old leggings on any parts. All in all very happy with this this. thanks

I say kill the messenger... ( in an imaginary sense of course)
TH maybe just the messenger, but that is exactlty why he needs to feel and understand the pain of these diehard players and forum posters. If they continue to put him out there as a "go between" then it must be accepted that TH will be slaughtered on these boards. In essence TH is their sacrificial lamb, and it is the job he accepted. I like this game... and am also not a fan of Dev bashing etc... but Hadens comments where to say the least, cocky, insensitive and obviously not very well thought out. Since TH is the messenger, then he needs to take these messages back to Haden, and let him know over and over again, That perhaps an apology to his customers might be necessary.
It is an insult to tell us that we are the minority... what he ignores is that many of us read these boards during the day (while at work) etc.. and play when we get home. I think you will notice 80% more activity on these boards during the day hours verses the night. I don't believe Haden is out of touch with this, I believe he chose to make deflecting statements that again were not well thought out.
It is further an insult to then come back to these boards and schmooze our correspondents, ask for details on problems that have been laid out time and time again, requests for top issues etc, when these boards are already overflowing with them.
If they truly know what they are doing, they would have already come on the forums to clear up these statements and start anew, but instead they ignored them, and what you have left is an unresolved issue that will continuously come up, until it receives proper closure.....this is simple business 101. You can ignore your problems.
I also beleive TH knows what he is doing and what he is in for now, when he asks for our responses, hopefully he will use this info to build a case and project plan for the overhaul of SOE's or at least this games customer service, and better public relations overall.
Even though I am a highly paid Sales and Customer Service Consultant this is just my two cents....

I've been playing swg for a year now although I quit for two months while traveling, then promptly resumed after my trip. I follow the forums, but rarely post. And I keep tabs on the website. My in-game experiences have been all right, but all the tiny bugs (from harvestors not animating to warping once you dismount a vehicle) have really added up to hurt my game experience. Then to read Blackman's interview .. well, it was rather irritating to say the least.
My ingame buddy (who is pretty hardcore about swg) put it straight when he said, "if they don't get it right with publish 10, I'm out of here". His point ... after publish 10, it's gonna be a long time before another publish with JTL coming out. We're both fed up with combat system. And so many things seem broken, or f'd up, that it seems silly to expand. Kind of like building an addition to a house which isn't even finished yet.
I'm a casual player and I'm all out of gas. I don't think I will make it to publish 10. As far as buying the expansion pack, I think I've given Sony enough money and time to get it right. Maybe the game will be good in a couple of years. If so, I'll check it out then.
I'm not whining. I'm just saying I'm tired. Ready to hang to the hat. Call it a day. I now play swg for my online buds, and if no one is around, I find myself shutting it down.
i've never been asked my thoughts ingame (i've never seen people asking each other thoughts in game) and I believe Blackman's comment is ludicrous. All the talk I've scene ingame has been rabid dev bashing.
Maybe blackman goes to a special server where it's always sunny and everyone is happy. I go to wanderhome and the place is a zoo. A zoo like Jurassic Park where nothing works right
oh well.

btw ... whatever happened to the story arc?

well i must say i wasted an hour of my life looking for the new quests.
i'm one of those who reads the official forums occasionally and posts rarely obviously. I spend more time on my guild forums. But turn to Tarquinas forums today and read the subjects. I think over 50% are hardcore gamers announcing they're leaving the game. I think if most of us actually had lives, we'd quit too. What im saying is, once there is a viable alternative, we're splitting and spending our money elsewhere. And might I add, that I pay 15 dollars a month just like the jedi do. They are no more special than I am. Well actually i pay 30 but thats neither here nor there. I have often felt as well that things are spread out over a long period of time because if the developers fixed everything they wouldnt have a job anymore. Much like politicians. Overall this game has a load of potential we just want to see results.

For the first time ever, I blue screened while playing SWG after this patch.
The microsoft error reporting tool (after the reboot) says that the problem is in the NVIDIA driver.
I am running a GeForce 4 4200 with 64MB of RAM and 1 gig of system RAM.
Crash log sent to you guys too.

First of all I have to say that I can not comment on any of the 9.2 changes as I have not seen any of them yet today.
Second of all you guys are ridiculous. Thunderheart works his butt off around here if you havent noticed. He is one of the few people that actually seems to give a crap what people say and this is the place where people come to say it. What do you expect him to do, stand in Coronet like your spam bot and yett..
"Looking for input on recent publis PST with info" over and over again.
Third I do believe that he personally showed up and one stared all of you
Forth I think that there should be a grief forum that people like TH can send your posts to.
Thats all I have to say about that!

TH,
The resource requirements for the Wookiee seem excessive. It requires a very large number of named resources and most of them are organics. Please replace some of the named resources with more general ones.
Also Wookiees are not primitives. Their armor doesn't have to be made of just bone, hides, and tree bark.

Wake up guys. Every industry in the world would kill for this kind of ongoing customer feedback. Companies spend billions on trying to discover what their customers want. You get that information for free. Take advantage of it and listen to us....believe it or not, we know what we're talking about.
Nay, young grasshopper....
We pay THEM 15 dollars a month (some of us more) to give them this information. Yet, strangely, this information isnt used.
