I want to know how many man hours were dedicated to crafting quests...

Then, when I know that number, I will write you a 400 page doctrine on what those hours could have been better spent doing. (see, EVERY PROFESSION)

This patch totally BUGGED our base. You guys put the race track starting point in the middle of our city. Now none of our dish turrets or covert detectors will give players TEFs. The turrets and detector detect that a covert is a rebel and tells them that it crossed referenced them as a rebel operative, but they aren't given a TEF.

This is really disasterous for us. Coverts can just waltz over to our base and do whatever they want, since none of our equipment gives them a TEF anymore. We wasted tons of factionpoint on stuff that doesn't do what its supposed to anymore. And this bug just came in this patch...so I guess its related to the fact that the race starts in the middle of our city now?

In TH's defense (as an old dev boarder) I'm sure he wanted to smack Shug too

But Mr Blackman wrote: Because JTLS is the number one thing that our community wants. When we did focus testingandtalked to the players in-game.

Maybe it would be a good idea for you guys to read the crap you dish out before you post. You guys at SOE have thrown out so many lies that now your having a hard timesaying anything withouttripping over one of them. Amazing how those lies come back to bite you in the butt later isnt it...

*** 9.2 Update Notes ***
  • Crafting Quests
Located in Commercial Guild Halls located in static cities now have NPC contractors that can give out new crafting missions. There are mission difficulties of easy, challenging and difficult depending the skill boxes a player possesses. The rewards granted are some credits and a small experience point bonus associated with crafting the item. The goal of the implementation of the “Crafting Quests” is to provide our wide variety of crafting professions the chance to use/sell their otherwise obsolete items and wares, creating a market for novice and intermediate crafters in a market of masters.

    • Are these in yet?

There have been many reports that the NPC contractors can't be found in any of the Commercial Guild Halls.

Thanks for the head's up. They will be live tomorrow.

Perhaps then they should be removed from the release notes? And the fix implemented should be patch 9.3, correct?

I am at work atm anddon't have time to read the entire thread...so sorry if this thought was already expressed...wasn't it Blackman who disparaged the forum members?

I've never been a big fan of Dev bashing, but this man does have a very damn good point

At its core, the idea of polling players in game is valid and one I'd like to pursue, but when it comes to forum demographics, avid posters tend to be early adopters and power users. The feedback they provide is always valuable information.

TH, what about us *NON*-avid posters? You know, the lurkers who've been here, reading lots, but not saying much? The ones who only speak up when things really hit close to home? Were their (our) opinons just as 'valuable' to you when deciding to monkey with the scheduling?

Um, and as far as polling players in game being something you'd "like to pursue", does that mean you don't have that ability now? If you do not, how in the world did Mr. Blackman come up with his information?

Edit: Lost TH's response in the 1st post...

Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the peacemakers for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country. - Hermann Goering

Yeah, all the guys who are happy with everything are playing the game. They aren't spending their time sending you guys letters or posting on the forums.

I do not know of a single player that is happy with everything. The most dangerous customer is one who never complains. It is those customers who just fade away without a word.

I'm sure my voice is in the minority here.... but maybe the new wookie armor is a little too good? Take a look at this thread please

      http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/board/message?board.id=armorsmith&message.id=58322

I know not everyone has the time to read every thread that's posted, so I'll just write the title which I think sums up thing best "Wookie armor better than comp??" Some of the suits crafted are coming out 40% stun or 80% kin with 70% base.

I'll be the first to admit that wookie's have been at a disadvantage in armor for far too long and that this better armor is a step in the right direction... but is it fair to give the one species with a spare 700 points in HAM stats to have armorof comparablequality as Compo?

I'm aware that armor stats will be scaled back in the combat balance, but that's been pushed back for an undetermined time. Meanwhile the only other set of species-specific armor, Mandalorian (many species can wear it, but from what I've heard only humans can wear the helm, which is easily the most sough after piece) has it's stats set to post-CB positions. Not to mention Mandalorian armor isn't color-craftable (each piece comes out a random color) and is EXTREMLY difficult to obtain. Don't get me wrong, I want Mando to be uber-rare, but while we're handing out species-specific armor, maybe we could fix the suit that's already out there?

I know I've wandered off topic a bit, but I know Wookie's need better armor, but maybe this stuff is too good?

The armor is pretty sweet You just need to increase the ability to harvest for rangers. The demanf for hide, bone, and meat far exceeds the supply. Double or tripple their ability and you can show them a little love.

any hotfixes coming that address the combat inbalance that many players are up in arms about?
