Thanks for ignoring the concerns of the Smuggler community for the past week.
We really appreciate it. Really, we do.

What are you complaining about, Thunderheart has been ignoring the Dancer community alot longer than that.
And believe me, if in this Publish, Imperials could cash in50FP to buy instant Battle Fatigue Cures, thus negating the need for Dancers, you would be up in arms and wonder why Thunderheart wasn't responding to your protests and arguments against such a change.
Smugglers didn't ask to get stuck with this, it just happened, and now we're trying to deal with it in the way it should be - ie, Smugglers who invest skillpoints should be the ones moving contraband, not Imperials who can buy abilities above and beyond their 250 skillpoints.

Why people cant stop whining?
All you smugglers out there:
Find the Dev Tracker!
Only High Rank Imps can avoid a scan and Smugglers can protect the whole group! Is it nothing?
I think Smugglers will be welcome in all groups now! You do so, like the whole profession would die because a little difference.
It is an RPG and not everybody has the same abilities and skills. It is logical, that imps have protection in the empire. The empire is (IMHO) based on the WW II germans. If you had lived in this time, you would have cried: "Nerf Hitler!", just because he had a jewish girlfriend...
You should stop towhine foreverybody looking same, smelling same, doing same!
Yup we use the dev tracker. High ranking imperials are immune to any and all contraband scanning. That is not right on the basis that we had to pay skill points to gain that protection and the imperial did not.
The scans do not happen enough to justify the immunity, let alone make us needed in groups.
The patrols "appear" out of thin air, so constant babysitting by the smuggler would be required.
These are valid issues and complaints. To try and demean them as whining is not accurate. Nor does it make your argument any more valid.

I take it the Imperials will still be given 100% immunity to scans, thereby essentially giving them skills that Smugglers had to invest skill points to get, huh?
No, only the high ranking Imperials.
Pipe down, before now you had no smuggling skills. They added something for you to do.

Im starting to get REALLY tired of the smugglers whining about how a hard time they are going to get. You are SMUGGLERS! You are´nt supposed to have an easy time. Smuggling is illegal. You had to see this coming sooner or later. This just adds another dimension to the game.
And one more things. Have seen rebells whining about how this is unfair, the same to you. Do you except life to be easy as a rebell in a imperial controlled galaxy?

Rumor on testcenter is that new geonosian cave won't be in pub6 tomorrow, and that the cave has been shut down on testcenter.
True or False?
I just want to know the truth about this.
And again: Use the Dev Tracker! It is not a rumor! It is reality!
The dungeon will stay closed 2 weeks for bugfixing!

They added something for us to do for the moment, but at the possible cost of our future. That is a big problem as many of us see it.

Uh . . .
I have yet to see a single post by a Smuggler complaining that they're going to have a hard time.
What I have seen, and what I have tried to point out for people who bother to read, is that Imperials are getting better smuggling skills than a Smuggler. That has serious implications for profession identity and skillpoint investment.
This isn't a Rebel versus Imperial issue, it's a Smuggler versus non-Smuggler issue. Smugglers take issue with the fact that our core ability - ie, moving contraband - is now obtainable by Imperials who invest some Faction Points. That's unprecedented in SWG.

You miss the point of Smugglers' complaints. We don't want things to be easy. We want them to be hard. We like the idea of the crackdown. What we don 't want is our skills being given to Imperials.

Im with this guy. Its too easy to be a rebel most of the time anyway, and smugglers shouldnt have it any easier. They get up to 95% protection, which is more than most. How much FP does it cost to hit a high enough imeprial rank where scanning isnt an issue? I dont know about all of you, but as a rebel, i have a hell of a time earning decent faction as a non insane-3 hours a day max player.

As far as smugglers go, a lot of people disagree with the core complaint about the imeprial scanning thing, ie, that it takes away from your skills. Dont know what to tell you. Keep at them, there are still plenty of publishes left. No reason to get all upset and cry as if youve missed theone and only chance to fix it.
This is the first time smugglers have actually gotten a glimpse of any sort of content. And now weactually have skills that will allow us to move contraband past checkpoints. However, as a master smuggler, I need to spend 121 skill points to have a 95% chance to "smuggle" contraband past a checkpoint. However, Imperials get 100% chance to "smuggle" contraband past the same checkpoint with a ZERO investment in skill points. And this perk is effective regardless whether the Imperial is Overt or Covert.
Basically when we finally get to smuggle, we find were suddenly "gimped" by the fact that a covert imperial is better at smuggling then we are.
