Nyree,

I dunno if it's supposed to be this way or not, but once you get a Leia waypoint, you can go to any of the Leia's on any of the quest planets. I was supposed to go toEndor, but instead joined a few friends on Yavin, talked to that Leia, and still got credit for completing the mission. So you might try getting someone else's waypoint who is just as far along as you and see if works.

I've submitted CSR's (no reply, but they go away) and /bug reports and I STILL can't even start this frigging act! I have -5k Jabba faction and so I have to stand off from the NPC's to use the /conv function. Fine, no problem. The problem lies in the fact that I can SEE the NPC try to give me a chat bubble so I can use the options "Who sent ya?" and choose who sent me, but it's up for less than 1 second...yes, I timed it. I can't even read one word before it's off the screen. What gives? How do you expect people to do this act unless the bubble stays? Why do my CSR's get "answered" w/o an actual reply, person talking to me, no change in anything?

Try opening the tickets you submitted and looking closely at them. There may bean answer written in the actual ticket. Many people seem to overlook that. The Devs/ CSR's might look into a more defined interface for the replies so it doesn't get lost in the original ticket.

Anyway, you need to "work on your Jabba faction." If you get missions against Valerians you will get positive Jabba faction points. You can find these missions all over tatooine as destroy missions from the regular mission terminals.

Basically, kill lots of Valerian thugs etc, and you'll get your Jabba faction to a point where the guy will not attack you. I think you need at least -999 or higher.

Some of my pet peeve bugs:
•Armorsmith protection layers were not converted with the CU.
•Ship Details window does not close when you click "Travel" resulting in the message "You have lost the target. Closing interface."

When I try to do this quest, the cordinator tries to give me my waypoints and then says I need to clear out my data pad.. I check it's only 87% full. I can't do this mission.

Not to go offtopic, but how do you view your existing tickets?

CTRL-H and then Customer Service and um... CSR Ticket or something and then double click your ticket there. or click it and click the Read button or something like that. Then read it all again, because they put the answer at the bottom of your original ticket. The system is a little clunky.

We definately like the story arcs. Since they have gotten better with each chapter we do not want to abandon them, but we need to be mindful of the resources necessary to create them in view of the entire game. My personal goal is to continue to do story arcs, but they may just take a different form. When we know more about the direction we're taking, we'll let you all know.

As for numbers on the story arc, we are planning on releasing those numbers.I know Q-3PO is planning on using COA stats as part of a Friday Feature. If not tomorrow (Feb 13th, 2004) then next week.

Thanks for the support.

It would be nice to think that your faction perk list isn't critical to a number of different systems, so you can simply have a change in data per server, not code. Failing that, conditional compilation is your friend.

Of course, I think your primary mistake was allowing people to be Imperial at all. If we'd all been neutral, or Rebel, or maybe even Hutt, the GCW would be a more PvE affair, and you could progress the war according to player performance. You're probably noticing it's very hard to have a game work as both a PvE and PvP experience. I'm disappointed to see you leaning towards PvP myself, but I can understand that there are others who prefer PvP.

Boycotting the GCW. I don't force you to PvE, don't force me to PvP!

Is it posible that on some servers the rebelswill win and on other servers the imperials will win? So that on some servers the perk remains and on others it does not - or is the the side with the most servers won that dictates the outcome and all of theservers will either have the perk or none of them will?

When we originally discussed this, there was concern about maintaining separate code on different galaxies. Generally it makes testing a lot harder. For the purpose of the Story Arc, we decided to treat it like a U.S. presidential election. Different States (galaxies) may have a different winner, but the all States are tallied up to see who the next president of the whole country will be.

Thanks for your support of the Story Arc. I don't consider them gone, just re-tooled. If you'll notice, The Imperial Crackdown offers an extremely dynamic story based set of missions in the city of Bestine. The only difference between this and The Cries of Alderaan is that it is a permanent part of the game.

What Imperial Cracdown?

Did not see anything of it!

What Dynamic story?

In Museum of Bestin I can't talk to the 4 people, who are standing around. The other parts of the building are empty!

I also love the arcs, mostly because they're getting better at an exponential rate. Act I was horribly dull, Act II was a good diversion, slightly above your average terminal mission, and Act III was great. Having to think through the conversations with Jabba's man was nice, and having to defend a post (altough difficult), was an excellent break. I'd love to see terminal defense misisons implemented now that the code is in place. If the arcs continue improving at this rate, they'll be mind-blowing by number 5.

It was mentioned that the arcs could tie into the story theme, which would be cool. For example, the upcoming droid publish (probably too late to add a story, though), could feature some sort of mad droid engineer who has to be defeated, and whose death could provide you with a schematic for a somewhat powerful droid.

It's about time

My Fiancee and I both have Imperial and Rebel chars (we like seeing both sides of the story arcs).. And we both found Act I and Act II to be about 50% easier for rebels, then the Imperial missions. (Especially Act II.. a mean come on.. 1 rebel takes out a camp of Imperials, then invites his 20 friends to use the terminal, and they all get credited for no effort?)

How it should work,

Act I should be balanced in effort on both sides (Even if the missions are different).. Neither should have a cake walk while the other side doesn't.

Act II should be stacked against the victor of Act I, they won, it should be harder for them now. For the losing side, it should be just as difficult as Act I was, no more.

Act III If a side won both the previous Acts this should be extremely difficult for them (and just as difficult as Act I for 2x losing side). However if the Victor of Act I loses Act 2, the missions should be balanced in difficulty again..

Least that's my opinion
