this was a fantastic idea devs makes it so much easier to plan you action so you are i nthe middle of combat only to suddenly lose your buffs with no warning. kudos to you all on the dev team

The system is nice, but I'd like the option to list the buff name and time in minutes all the time (without highlighting the buffs).


Also prepatch food doesn't seem to give an icon.

Prob after getting cloned was buff timers still going but NO buff. However, did not affect getting re-buffed.

From what I can tell, the Devs developed the buff timer/icon things to be tracked on the client side. When the client screws up for whatever reason (CTD for example) it looses the data it was tracking. However, the buff itself is a server side thing, affecting the stats of your character. This is very bad design!!! They should BOTH be server side and directly linked to each other!!


The same problem exists with the /alarms. Those are clientside and lost whenever the client looses connection with the associated toon. This should also be server side! Why isn't it?

Vertical Buff box can be 1 wide minimumby x tall:







Horizontal Buff box can be 3 minimum tall by x wide ('X' here represents blank space taken up by the buff box...annoying)

When you crash and relog the buffs are not shown in the window anymore.


We need some kind of color code to see how long the buffs still last.

When my game locked up on me and I had to relog, the buff icons were gone when I got back on. I still had my buffs and the new buff window was still there but it was empty.



Other new bugs added with this patch are:


Creatures now spawn as non agro and then switch to agro. Baby voritors were staying non agro even though the parents are agro.


Angerian Fishak now has a delay of 20-30 minutes to reuse after the effects have worn off.


Pet pathing is screwed up.....again. Half the time now they will stand inside you instead of behind you(very annoying with larger pets) If you take 1 or 2 steps to move away from them they just follow and stand inside you again.


Somehow a Piket Plains Walker managed to dizzy me 1 min after it died. There were no other live creatures within 128m.


When using the TKA /meditate your character sits down, stands up, then kneels. When you try to stand up your character will switch to sitting position and then stand up.


Rubber-Banding is now worse than ever. The last few days on Dantooine I would just about always teleport up to 80m ahead of my bike when I dismounted. Now I can teleport ahead or behind my bike. The game seems to know enough to leave my bike there but it can't figure out that I should be next to my bike.

buff bar is too limited - need to include more than buffs - make itmore likea 'positive state' bar so it can include Food benefits, berserk, etc...

Im a bit dissapointed. I like that they are there. but they are too bulky and you have to mouse over to check them. Why not have it in the same format as the HAM bars? easier to see at a glance.

I like the interface, TH, but it's just icons for the sake of icons until:


1) Our own HAM scales correctly in the group list

2) We can debuff stats (this is both a great and badly needed feature...but lets face it buff timers are so bugged it's just the human thing to do to give us this ability)


I also like the sggestions above of:

1) color code the ocons based on time left on the buff

2) allow for a single row horizontal layout of the new modifier window

3) Dont tease us by using the word "debuff" when we still wont be able to! (Try using word that mean what you mean like: "Buff experiation" )


all that being said: It is VERY nice to have a countdown available to us now.

I got a mind buff and some doctor buffs last night but never could find this window. I went to options and turned it on and off several times but still did not see anything. I have moved stuff around in my UI, is it possible it is hiding behind something? Where does it usually appear?

OK...to try and summarize this all a bit...

1. Color Coding Icons would be Sweet. (Green through Red) based on time left
2. Offering a table view showing Icon and then column for time remaining would be great.
3. Powerboost Should show up.
4. Definite problems with window getting out of sync with cloning and losing connections.
5. No method to Debuff...at first I thought this is what they meant...then I thought maybe they meant when Night Sister debuffs your mind it would show up here...or spice downer times..but its not that either (so what did they mean?)

Some people expressed concerns that a new screen widget was added that shows status on things that have been broken all along...and that maybe focus on fixing known bugs before adding features that highlight same bugs might not be best use of developer time.

And there were a few trolls brining up off topic items.

I was hoping it would display our HAM bars more accurately, rather than showing no damage on the bars utill I'm under 1k in the bar.
