I would like to be able to take a mission on a roque BH who felt he had to group to do his mission or has failed to kill his target on the first try.

As an aspiring Dark Jedi, I feel this should generate a great amount of xp like it does for the BH. I think letting a BH take a mission on another player with no consiquenses is just plain stupid. They should share in the skill lose if they are killed on a mission and the jedi should recive it.....oh and also, once the mission is either completed or failed...please take it off the boards...being clone camped (like i was with my first jedi) is just wrong and wont be tolerated much longer

I saw a Jedi in the Knight tree with at least 4-0-2-0 and a Rifleman with a Jawa Rifle.... They started a Duel... and in 5secs.. the Jedi was incap(mind bar all gone)... the Jedi didnt even get to move....

A Jedi shouldn't be this weak in PvP vs a Rifleman. And from what I hear.. any Jedi can be taking down if u have just 2 Rifleman... which is very believable after see the Duel. Isn't Jedi suppose to be able to take on 10 elite prof. at Jedi Knight and 20 at Master???

One of the big problems with the current system is once you obtain your FS slot, you must automatically be aligned with the Rebels. I think it would be much more immersive if you are given the choice at character creation which side you wish to support and then be stuck there with that faction until a point where you could either be "influenced" to fall to the dark side or go back to the light side. At that point, you will once again be stuck with that faction. Jedi should have the choice to fall or be saved at a point, just like has been established in the movies and be forced to choose a side and make that hard choice and stick with it. The way the current system is set up implies that Darth Maul was once a supporter of the Rebels, which clearly was never the case.

By allowing this choice at the beginning, it allows more dark side supported FS characters in the game which will add more game options for rebel bounty hunters. Currently only imperial bounty hunters get to have all the fun at first until a jedi "falls" do the dark side. Because it takes some time for this to happen, it makes that whole system completely unbalanced. This needs to be corrected and by doing so will actually support the game and immersion alot more than the current system.

Quest Idea (dunno for jedi or for the path to jedi)

An Ithorian, Malers Ithwee, is a sage and archeologist in Kor Vella. The player is told by him that he is seeking information on a tomb just discovered on Lok. It is suggested it might the tomb of a jedi. Malers wants the player to go there and search for the tomb. However there is no information on the exact location. Only one survivor made it out of the tomb. He is currently on Tatooine in the Mos Ethna Cantina.

The player goes to Mos Ethna and speaks with the only survivor, a rodian named Lani Ters. Lani tells the player he and his team has hired some "guides" that turned out to be pirates. Once they were at the entrance. the pirates showed their true nature and tried to kill the team. Lani managed to escape by entering the tomb but remembers nothing of what happened next. He woke up outside Nym's fortress. Maybe some of the pirates, Blood Razors, may know. the player gets a location of the pirate camp on Lok and travels there.

After reaching Lok, heading to the pirate camp (typical random base spawn with 3 blood razors about 2k meters outside of Nym's), and destroying it, the player gets the waypoint of the tomb. The player then heads to the tomb.

Special Tomb notes: Only people with this quest are allowed entry. The tomb would NOT look like a regular dungeon but like a tomb. Low end FS NPCs are weak force sensitive NPCs. About DL 15 - 25.

The player enters the tomb alone. He has to fight several mobs. Low end FS NPCs and two big heavy creature mobs (Graul maulers or Klikniks). Once he has gotten half way down,in a small chamber to the side, there is a NPC (aggro white) that was also a survivor of the original team. He tells the NPC that while he has been in the tomb he has learned that it is no jedi tomb but a Sith Lord's Tomb. The player continues deeper to face more low end FS NPCs, The deeper he goes the louder he can hear a voice talking. General rambling but very evil sounding.

Once at the bottom chamber he sees an old casket made of stone and a skeleton in it. A blue glowie appears. The ghost of Darth Aranis. The player then talks to the Dark Lord. Here is where choices aremade. Darth Aranis gives the player a riddle. Solve it incorrectly and the player wakes up in the cloner and the quest has failed. Solve it correct and Aranis gives the player a Sith Holocron. single red force crystal, and a schem for jedi robes (uncraftable or usableexcept by jedi). The riddle could be part of the Sith Code.

The player then returns to the ithorian, Malers, and gives him the holocron.

I only have a few requests for the new system...

1. It should be possible to solo and not include having to kill things like ancient krayt dragons. Some people play the solo game or play at off peak hours.

2. Players should definitely be compensated for theirprevious work towards Jedi, i.e. after mastering 4 holocron suggested professions they shouldn't have to do the whole epic quest but rather just the last fith, quarter or third (whatever). I'm guessing that only the holo profs can/have been recorded as part ofa playerspath to jedi so this is unfortunate for the grinders but you have t draw a line somewhere.

Another Quest idea

Daeric, Talus

A NPC, named Galor Minao, has heard that some binayre pirates might have a holocron in their possession. The player gets a random pirate spawn and must destroy it. Upon completion a holocron appears in his inventory. He/she takes it to Galor. Galor tells the player he has no way to translate the holocron but knows its several thousand years old and there might be a droid model from that time capable of translating it. He is then asked to talk to a droid engineer on Naboo who might be able to help.

The player goes to Keren, Naboo and talks with Otee Nash, the droid engineer. Otee tells the player there is only one droid brain like what he is looking for and it is in the wreakage of an old ship that crashed on Dathomir.

The player then travels to Dathomir and goes to the "downed ship" we all know about. He fights off the purboles there and in one of the mag seal cases is a droid brain. (only persons on this quest can open this particular mag seal container) He then takes the brain back to Otee. The droid brain is taken from the players inventory and replaced with a small "Droid Translator Box.

He then travels back to Daeric where Galor takes the box and reads the holocron. Galor gives the player a randomly selected force crystal for his trouble.

Quest ends.

I have to completely agree with this. The system that we are dealing with now (Hologrinding) was very poorly put together, and was done out of haste (And it shows). The problem with trying to put in a new system is that many people are in the middle of their path to being a Jedi. There are many, like myself, playing the guessing game of professions. So how do you count this into a new "quest" system?

The answer isn't going to be easy, and none of it could really be fair. The only way I can see any form of making this work would result in either a flood of Jedi (At least for a few weeks till people go back to their other characters) or a very disgruntled population.

The only thing I can see (and most likely get flamed for) would be to give the players (who've at least USED a holocron) a window of 2-3 months. These players would also be given their lucky list of professions. Holocrons would have to be disabled before this and this would result in being a brief wave of Jedi. The benefit of this however is that the new system would take time to figure out...which means you have a surge followed by a drop.

Is this fair to those who grinded before us? Not entirely, but even they benefit from it some. Those with FSCS already would have the benefit of other newb Jedi running around being shot at by BHs. The only ones who'd possibly get screwed in this would be those with really tough lists...IE Squad Leader, BH, ect kinds. In the end though if they pushed hard it could be done.

iI think that the path to a jedi should be difficut by all means and should require time and effort. alot of the ideas on this board are great, however my idea is to randamize the missions completly with in missions all ready in the game say you except a mission in the game there is a 5% chance you that you gain Jedi faction points then ounce you build up said number say for instance you can move on to a second phase where you have to locate a Jedi trainer by investigating, such as talking to NPC's and such how ever this trainer is like the Npc's bounty hunters are after they move and travel seeing the empire is hunting them they keep a low profile and are dificult to find, ounce a player locates his trainer the trainer will give Jedi missions that give Jedi XP then the player can eventually move on to the jedi trials.

We know the path to becoming a Jedi is long and hard... A few thoughts from me:

Rather than orienting the quests to your main character becoming a Jedi, they should be oriented towards discovering "one of the last jedi" in existance to help the Imperial/Rebel/Other side. Think about it your main character never becomes a jedi, you only open the fscs to startanew: no connection between the two.

A path to becoming a jedi is supposed to be hard, a path to finding the jedi ever harder. Lets say you need to complete 50 preset missions of the200+ jedi quest modules (all tiereddifficulties levelsas you advancethrough them), make each mission require a differentblock from thecareer table. As you would be wanting to keep the fact that you are looking for a Jedi a secret, to complete the quests you would need to take on the various skills yourself (NB: forcing movement through careers & skill trees).

Bamn FSCS quest solved, give me a medal and get on with it.

Ideas for starting quest: Midiclorian detector (for fscs npcs).

i think that the quest needs to be very long obviously, but it has to be on par with the CoA missions, those get tough toward the end. Another thing, at the very beginning of the quest the first NPC should ask you what kinda person you are, like craftsman, fighter, or entertainer. That way, there could be like 3 separate quests so EVERYONE could actually do the quests. not sure how the entertainer missions would work, but its just an idea. ALSO i would LOVE to see the profession path to unlocking still ingame. Ill probably have 20 professions done by the patch, but if i dont open, im gonna be highly pissed off. If i dont unlock, i hope the quest actually does let us people who tryed to unlock, have an advantage. And that system should also track how many professions youve done, not just holocrons.

I dont think the old system of holo grinding should be kept in place, if it is then you wont have solved the problem of afk entertainers, master architect who have no idea what BER means, and so so many other problems. If you can manage to do that then im happy

I've got a question for any of you jedi out there on any server.i have not unlocked my FSCS yet, so if i mention something here that already exists, please tell me. as far as i know the jedi profession is as jacked-up as all the others.

do you have any type of jedi sense that will allow you to find other jedi or other force-sensative creatures / players?

for example....using the current radar system that no one can hide from, do other jedi or force-sensative players appear as a different color? this could be used to help the jedi survive longer. whether it is because of thenoob jedi that wants to go PVP at Theed, or to allow jedi to train each other or exchange knowledge.

this could also be used to help those people that have already done 4+ holo's and mastered 17 others and are working on the silent holo by giving a command to the jedi, such as /advice that will let the jedi know that the current profession he has choosen is not the correct one. whether the jedi tells the truth really depends upon the situation. this should help to refine the types of personalities that become Jedi or Sith.

anyway...just a thought.
